Highly recommend the Wellesley Hotel Changsha Meixi Lake! My stay here exceeded expectations, it was truly relaxing and rejuvenating ✨
🔹Exceptional Butler Service: The 24-hour butler service was incredibly responsive, meticulous, and thoughtful. From guiding me through check-in to handling requests, they were proactive and enthusiastic, paying attention to every detail, which made me feel incredibly welcome.
🔹Rich and Delicious Breakfast: The semi-buffet breakfast offered a wide variety of options, blending Chinese and Western cuisine. The freshly prepared Changsha rice noodles and the semi-buffet items were authentic and fresh, satisfying my taste buds completely.
🔹Wonderful Late-Night Dessert: The surprising late-night sweet soup was delicately sweet and comforting with an excellent texture. Enjoying it late at night was particularly warming and soothing, adding a great touch to the ambiance.
The hotel's environment is elegant and tranquil, and both the service and dining are impeccable. It's an excellent choice for a vacation in Changsha; I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit!

The hotel's location is super convenient for getting around; it's close to all the popular Wuyi Square attractions, most of which are directly accessible by subway. Plus, the hotel itself is just a short walk from the subway station. The room design is really modern and unique, featuring a high-speed hairdryer and a smart toilet. The rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows offer expansive views of the Wuyi streetscape. The lobby is spacious. It's a great spot whether you're traveling for leisure or business.

This was my first time visiting Changsha, and I specifically chose this hotel. Everything went smoothly, from booking to check-in. Upon arrival, the front desk proactively helped me with check-in and even upgraded my room. The room was spotless, and the window offered a nice street view with plenty of natural light. It was quiet at night, so I slept undisturbed. When I checked out in the morning, they even gave me a small souvenir. The staff was incredibly warm and patient throughout my stay. I had absolutely no complaints during my entire visit, and I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Changsha 🏨

Guest UserThe hotel is right next to Exit 4 of Yingbin Road Metro Station, you can see it as soon as you come out. There's a Cha Yan on the ground floor, which is delicious. Yingbin Road is close to all the attractions and it's not noisy, which is great. The only minor drawback was that the central air conditioning was set to heating only, but the hotel provided me with a fan. The front desk service was excellent.

li@zyAfter staying three nights at Niccolo, I decided to try this hotel for a night, thinking it had good reviews online. I ended up being sorely disappointed.
First off, the lobby was incredibly noisy, stuffy, and had an unpleasant smell, which immediately gave me a terrible first impression of the hotel. Upstairs on the sixth floor, there were only three staff members, and a large crowd of people trying to check in. It was very congested with no clear queuing system, leading to some impolite guests cutting in line.
Then there's the room itself – the hardware facilities were extremely poor. It claimed to be over 40 square meters, but it felt much smaller. The shower and bathtub were tucked away at the very back, making it easy to slip and fall if you weren't careful, and the lighting was incredibly dim. The bathroom mirror even had water stains, and you had to get very close to see yourself in it.
The only redeeming features were the gym and the dry and wet saunas; it was my first time experiencing a wet sauna.
Overall, it was quite a bad experience. I've stayed at many W hotels in different locations, and this was by far the worst.

Guest UserCame for a short weekend trip to Orange Isle and stayed at the Poly Orange Isle Noya Hotel for two nights straight – and the experience was absolutely fantastic! The most pleasant surprise was the dedicated butler service; it was superb. They called ahead to confirm our needs and thought of every little detail. The room's cleanliness was impeccable, and the environment was quiet and peaceful, perfect for a family to relax. The location is excellent, making it super easy to visit the scenic spots. The service was attentive yet unobtrusive, and the overall quality was top-notch. It's our first choice for family travel, and we'll definitely book again next time we're in Changsha.

Traveling with my child this time, to avoid the hassle of switching hotels, I stayed at the JW Marriott on Furong Middle Road for four consecutive days. The overall experience was satisfactory. Here, I've categorized and organized the pros and cons for future reference.
**I. Advantages of the Stay**
1. **Excellent Location, Convenient Travel**
Initially, I was debating between Beichen Delta and Furong Middle Road, ultimately settling on this hotel. I liked that it offered a quiet retreat from the city bustle, away from the noise of the Wuyi business district, ensuring a peaceful night's rest. The hotel is about 130-150 meters from Tu Jia Chong Station on Metro Line 1, a five-minute walk. Getting a taxi right outside the hotel is very smooth, making travel to major attractions and the high-speed train station worry-free, perfectly suited for family trips.
2. **Outstanding Front-Line Service Reputation**
During check-in, the staff were warm and enthusiastic. Restaurant staff were gentle, polite, and provided meticulous service. The concierge was proactive in handling luggage, making the initial reception experience upon arrival very comfortable.
3. **Impressive Views from High-Floor Rooms**
I booked a high-floor room with dual windows overlooking the city. The two floor-to-ceiling windows offered panoramic city views, with different scenery day and night. Relaxing and enjoying the view helped alleviate travel fatigue.
**II. Shortcomings**
1. **Cumbersome Elevator Transfer Process**
You first need to take the elevator on the ground floor to the sky lobby on the 35th floor, and then transfer to another elevator to reach your guest room. If you have a lot of luggage or during peak hours, transferring elevators is particularly energy-consuming, greatly reducing convenience. This complicated elevator route also amplified the inconvenience when checking out.
2. **Noticeable Drop in Service Quality Post-Check-in**
While the reception during check-in was warm, there was a significant drop-off when checking out. I was dragging large luggage with my child from the 39th floor, transferring to the sky lobby on the 35th floor, and then changing elevators to the ground floor. Along the way, several staff members noticed us struggling with our luggage, but not a single one offered to help. This contrast in service attitude negatively impacted the check-out experience.
3. **Unreasonable Bathroom Layout Design**
The toilet area has a separate small sink, intended for handwashing after using the toilet. However, the sink is so small that water easily splashes onto clothes, making its practical utility low. The main wash area only has a single basin, which can lead to queuing for a family's morning and evening routines, making the family stay experience less than ideal.
4. **Toiletries Don't Match Brand Positioning**
The guest room still provides solid soap instead of bottled liquid hand soap, which doesn't align with JW Marriott's high-end positioning. Bath salts were only provided once on the first day of the stay, and subsequent daily replenishment was not automatic. If needed, we had to contact the front desk separately.
5. **Weak Food Supply in the Executive Lounge**
Although there are exclusive privilege periods like afternoon tea and happy hour, my experience after multiple visits was mediocre. Firstly, the supply of various soft drinks was insufficient, often leading to delays in replenishment. Secondly, the variety of snacks, desserts, and savory items was limited, and the food quality was rather ordinary, failing to meet the standards expected of a JW Marriott executive lounge, which significantly diminished the leisure experience.

Guest UserThe environment here is absolutely fantastic! The space is huge, and the views are just incredible. Being on the 89th floor, you get a panoramic view of the entire city of Changsha. You can even see Orange Isle clearly. The N3 river view rooms even come with binoculars! The sunset was breathtakingly beautiful – I took so many great photos standing by the window.
Service: The service was excellent; they weren't intrusive at all, which made for a nice private experience. They also offer turn-down service. And those macarons were delicious! This place is great; I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Changsha.
