Guest UserThis hotel has an excellent environment, and the front desk service was incredibly professional, kind, and efficient. When they found out I was traveling with a child, they even upgraded me to a very luxurious room for free. A big thank you again to the front desk lady! The biggest advantage of staying here is the absolutely fantastic location! If I come back again, I will definitely choose this place. It was a very satisfying travel experience and a wonderful trip!

Guest UserThis hotel is 8-9 years old, and the facilities are quite poor. There's absolutely no street view. I initially went to the Marriott Renaissance by mistake, which is around the same price and also has similar operating hours, but it's in a much higher building. If you're not in one of the street-facing rooms at the Mercure, you're looking right at the back of a residential complex. 😢 The late-night snack was just noodles and wontons from that day! And the breakfast the next morning 😂😂😂 was even worse... I arrived at 9:20 AM and most of the food was gone, and they weren't restocking it promptly. I observed that by 9:45 AM, there was hardly anything good left. If you want breakfast, you better go early! I came here based on Ctrip reviews, but honestly, it was just mediocre. I don't know why it has so many good reviews! The Marriott Renaissance, for a similar price, offers city night views (not of the Oriental Pearl Tower, though) and an indoor pool, and it's closer to Yu Garden. The two hotels are only about a 10-minute walk apart! Anyway, if there's a next time, I'll definitely choose the Marriott Renaissance. 😂😂😂 Oh, and the hairdryer in the hotel 😂😂😂 had a bad connection; I had to hold it to make it work. I also don't know if it was just my imagination, but when I first entered the bathroom, there was a slight smell of urine... and my nose is particularly sensitive. To sum it up in one sentence... this room is not worth 1200! The service, however, was very good! No doubt about that.

Having stayed at numerous top-tier five-star hotels both domestically and internationally, especially many in Shanghai, The Bellagio Shanghai is one of the very few that makes me want to return again and again. It's grand yet refined, with impeccable attention to detail. This stay was even better; Penny from guest services was beautiful and enthusiastic. She called and messaged me in advance to inquire about my check-in needs, and upon learning I was with a friend's family, she proactively arranged our rooms on the same floor and close to each other. She thoughtfully prepared fruit and toiletries for the children and even helped coordinate with their partner brand, Range Rover, for station drop-off, ensuring my friend's family and I had a perfect stay. The location is superb, convenient for both The Bund and North Bund, offering Suzhou Creek views, quiet yet central. Another highlight is the fantastic breakfast; The Bellagio's mini wontons are arguably the best in the country. This is a purely handwritten review, and I am extremely, extremely satisfied.

My child had an exam nearby, so I wanted to find a close place to rest. I'd seen this hotel being renovated and thought I'd give it a try.
I arrived earlier than my check-in time and asked if there was an available room I could get into sooner. I ended up waiting about 10 minutes until a room was ready, and then they gave me the key card.
Upon entering, it was clear the room had just been cleaned – the floor was still wet, a sign it had just been mopped. It had a smart toilet, and I didn't use the shower. The hand soap was verbena-scented, and there were two bottles of Nongfu Spring bottled water. Being on the side facing the residential area, it was relatively quiet. The air conditioning was powerful. The TV was a Skyworth smart TV, which allowed for on-demand content and screen mirroring. There's a small booth seating area with cushions and a small coffee table in the room, which is great for eating and means you're not just confined to the bed. Everything I've mentioned so far was satisfactory, but now for a pretty critical issue.
As shown in image three, this huge bag of trash was left outside my door from 10 AM until 2:30 PM. It was ridiculous. Every time I went in or out, I could smell the garbage. There's actually a partition between rooms a bit further down; if it had been placed even 5 or 10 meters further away, I wouldn't have had to complain. This was particularly disappointing. The trash caused significant air pollution and was a very unpleasant experience. I hope the hotel takes this seriously and properly trains and assesses its service staff.

Anonymous UserThis hotel was absolutely fantastic for my solo trip to Shanghai! A huge thank you for the room upgrade – the view was incredible, with the park and the 'Three-piece Suite' (Lujiazui skyscrapers) right across the way. The hotel is connected directly to a shopping mall, which was super convenient for an afternoon stroll. I drove this time, and the staff were excellent. Upon check-in, they immediately asked if I needed parking service and offered a brilliant tip: next time, I can let them know in advance to park my car above ground. The hotel's location is already superb, but having the car parked right outside was even better, making it so easy to get in and out without searching for it in the underground garage! What really stood out was the Executive Lounge. Wendy in the Executive Lounge was wonderful during afternoon tea, immediately asking if I wanted anything to drink and making me a delicious hot chocolate. She even remembered me when I came for dinner that evening – so thoughtful! Shirley, who handled my check-out, was also excellent and meticulously asked if I needed an invoice or anything else. I'll definitely be bringing my family back here next time!

Guest UserThis hotel far exceeded my expectations! First off, the huge floor-to-ceiling windows really brightened my day, and the daily room cleaning was impeccable. Second, a special shout-out to the housekeeping lady – I have back issues and can't sleep on soft beds, so I mentioned it to her when I left. When I returned, I found the mattress had been flipped, and I slept incredibly comfortably. Third, the room service was prompt and polite. Fourth, the breakfast buffet was absolutely delicious, and the late-night noodles were fantastic – who knew I could come back at 11 PM and get a piping hot and tasty bowl of soup noodles! Lastly, the airport drop-off service was such a thoughtful touch. I'll definitely stay here again on my next trip to Disneyland!

For our family trip, we chose the Waldorf Astoria's new building river-view room. The room was spacious, and the floor-to-ceiling windows framed the magical Shanghai river view like a moving painting. Our dedicated concierges, Aaron and Brin, meticulously considered every detail for our family outing, providing practical suggestions for local attractions and responding to our requests efficiently and effectively. During our leisure time, sitting by the window, watching the boats slowly cross the river, we soaked in the unique vibrant atmosphere of the Bund. The quality of the facilities combined with the warm service created truly precious memories for this trip to Shanghai.

Guest UserWhile the basic accommodation needs are met, there's definitely room for improvement in the details. In the mornings, there was often a loud banging noise from the corridor, which was quite disruptive and woke me up early, preventing a good night's sleep. The in-room facilities felt quite dated, and the bathroom waterproofing was inadequate; water would easily seep out during showers, making the floor slippery – a minor but present hazard. I hope the hotel considers renovating and upgrading the bathroom facilities and improving sound insulation between floors. On the positive side, the hotel's unique scenery and ambiance are big pluses. The lobby frequently features a resident band playing live music, creating a wonderful atmosphere in the common areas with their melodious tunes. The rooftop bar offers expansive views and an excellent sightseeing experience. The antique Rolls-Royce parked outside is a rare sight and makes for a stylish photo opportunity. Overall, it's a mixed bag of pros and cons.

DenghuoExtremely satisfied with my stay! The water, electricity, and internet were all very stable, and the front desk staff were all attentive. The facilities are new, and the room had a lot of thoughtful details. The value for money is really excellent. I saw online that it's close to both the metro and the train, and it truly is. If you're catching a train the next day, I highly recommend this hotel.
