The Rees Hotel, Luxury Apartments & Lakeside Residences
"If you absolutely must stay here, choose the lake-view apartment. I didn't pay attention when booking. Firstly, the room was small, and secondly, there's nowhere to eat nearby except the hotel restaurant. I originally wanted to change my plans midway to visit Dunedin. I submitted a request to modify the dates on Trip.com two days before check-in, but I never received a reply. It wasn't until I asked in person on the day of check-in that they said it was possible, but they would charge us over 3,000 for one night. 🙄 I have to give Trip.com a serious bad review here. Initially, they said they would intervene if the hotel didn't respond by the deadline, but later they said that since the hotel's response deadline had passed, the original order would proceed. They didn't even bother with a superficial effort. When submitting the modification request, I noticed that we had pre-booked a lake-view room for three nights for over 10,000, but upgrading to a better room type later on was actually over a thousand cheaper. The only upside is the beautiful scenery. Everything else is a complaint. After eating at the restaurant, we wanted to go back to our room to rest, only to find that staff had entered the room to fix the air conditioning without any request from us. We'd been there for two nights and hadn't noticed any problem with the AC. The cleaning was also very perfunctory. The shower glass had too many gaps, so water always leaked everywhere, and when our wet slippers were thrown away, they weren't replaced. In short, don't expect to be treated like a guest when you come here."
Holiday Inn Express & Suites QUEENSTOWN by IHG
"The hotel is 15 mins away from the city which is good. However, it’s located on the steep slope which was a bit tried to walk up, especially with luggage. I will not stay there another and will book another hotel on the ground next time if I go back to Queenstown."
Holiday Inn QUEENSTOWN REMARKABLES PARK by IHG
Just 520m from Queenstown Airport, this ideal spot offers comfy rooms with mountain views, ski access, private parking, and a gym.
Copthorne Hotel and Apartments Queenstown Lakeview
"The beds were most comfortable and the view over the lake is most spectacular😍"

Crowne Plaza QUEENSTOWN by IHG
"The room was clean and comfortable. The location is superb, directly facing the city center pier with excellent lake views. It's about a 5-minute walk to catch the steamboat. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. The front desk staff were friendly."
LyLo Queenstown
"Queenstown Lylo locates just steps from Intercity bus, Skylines, and Fergburger. The staff is very young yet very helpful, helping me solve locker issues twice. The kitchen is relatively small, crowded during meal time."
Scenic Suites Queenstown
"This is the fourth time I’ve stayed at the scenic suites between the last time and this time the rooms have had a refresh there really wasn’t anything tired about the rooms in the first place but they have re-carpeted and added some lovely new furniture the view from the balcony of the lake and downtown Queenstown is stunning particularly at night the thick double glazing keeps all the noise out when shut the rumour is lovely and warm and I appreciate the car park in the basement I would highly recommend this place all it’s missing is a swimming pool Everything else you need to cook and wash is in the room"

Mercure Queenstown Resort
"The front desk staff were very friendly, and all staff member we met inside was warm and welcoming. They explained everything clearly before we checked in. The price was very reasonable, and they even thoughtfully arranged a sea view room for our family. The room was well-equipped, and provide very nice breakfast . We were very satisfied with our stay! High recommended .👍👍👍👍👍"
Rendezvous Heritage Queenstown
"We had a wonderful two-night stay in the Lakeview Room. Everything was excellent throughout our stay. We came here to celebrate my partner’s birthday, and the team surprised us with a cake, which was a very thoughtful touch. Exceptional customer service — definitely 5/5."
Coronet Ridge Resort
"Gorgeous aesthetic throughout this lovely hotel! Gorgeous views of the Shotover River, pool, sauna and steam room all make this a luxurious stay."
Manata Homestead & Lodge
"Everything in the room is exactly the same as what we saw on Ctrip. It’s beautiful and great! The hygiene is also very good, much better than expected. The only problem is that the water flow from the bathroom faucet is too small. I asked the housekeeper to come and see it and said that the water flow can only be so large😂. I can take a shower but cannot wash my hair."
Novotel Queenstown Lakeside
"The room carpet was very old and didn’t look much clean. Otherwise nice place to stay in."
Sudima Queenstown Five Mile
"The location is convenient, with supermarkets, shopping malls, and restaurants all within walking distance. However, it is about a 20-minute drive to Queenstown town centre. Parking is shared with the shopping mall, but we did not encounter any issues finding a space. Overall, the hotel is good in terms of cleanliness, location, and amenities. For service, I would rate it 3 out of 5 stars. During check-out, there was no staff at the reception, and no one responded when we called for assistance. As we were rushing to catch a domestic flight, this was quite frustrating. Fortunately, a cleaner happened to walk by and helped by knocking on the office door, after which a staff member finally came out. I don’t think this level of service should occur at a hotel of this standard."
Kamana Lakehouse
Just 300m from Fernhill Reserve, this stylish lakeside hotel offers stunning sunrise views. Go skiing, hiking or horse riding, and enjoy the spa and hot springs.
The Carlin Boutique Hotel
"Good location Good view Good services But it doesn’t worth that much five start hotels price . I meant at this price range. A lot of better options."
Highview Apartments
"This hotel is absolutely terrible, the worst I've ever stayed at in Queenstown. We paid 2000 for a lake-view room, but because we're Chinese, they gave us a basement room that felt like a thatched hut. There was absolutely no view. Sending emails a month in advance and paying at 10 AM didn't make a difference. The service was abysmal; I had to carry my own luggage, and when it fell and a wheel broke off, the staff just stood there laughing. "
