I'm not sure why this place has a relatively low rating, because it's actually pretty good! When I booked, it said 'dormitory' so I thought it would be a large communal room, but it turned out to be a 5-person room. There are three dorm rooms in one big building, with two bathrooms, and then a separate building for showers. The value for money is absolutely fantastic!
Even compared to other hostels, they offer free luggage storage right at the front desk, to the right. No need to worry about security at all.
Even though I reluctantly booked a mixed dorm, everyone was really nice, and it was quiet at night. As for cleanliness, it was very clean by hostel standards.
The front desk staff were also very nice; everyone was friendly. The walk to this place is a bit steep, a big uphill climb, but it's very scenic. You pass a grassy field where kids play, which is lovely. It's also very close to the center of 'Little Queenstown,' only about a 15-minute walk.
