4-Star Hotels in Nara Prefecture, Japan

This was my second time visiting Nara, and this time I traveled completely independently. The hotel's location is incredibly convenient. Coming from Kyoto on the Kintetsu Nara Line, you just walk straight down a bustling shopping and food street from the subway station, and the hotel is right at the end. It has a resort-style feel. There's no hot water dispenser in the room, so if you want hot water, you have to go downstairs, which is a bit inconvenient. I ended up bringing my own water every day. Bus route number 2 stops right outside and is a loop line, making it easy to get to all the attractions whenever you want.

Hygiene: Yellow stains that had not been cleaned were found on the toilet Environment: Halfway up Mount Wakakusa, isolated from the outside noise. The overall design style is modern Japanese. If you want to experience pure Japanese living, you should pay attention to the difference Service: The service is still worthy of praise. The driver and front desk staff are very enthusiastic. They helped arrange the car to go up the mountain in the morning. It was very lucky to see 👀 deer🦌 on a rainy day Food: Most of the food arranged is made from local ingredients in Nara. The ingredients are not gorgeous, the taste is OK, and it is more down-to-earth

The room's location couldn't be better – you can see it right from the train station exit. They have luggage storage downstairs, and when you go out, someone will even take your bags to your room for you. The hotel itself is incredibly clean; you can't wear your own shoes inside. There's also a hot spring downstairs and free washing machines, which is super convenient. They even offer free late-night snacks! If you're coming to Nara, this is a great choice.

Loved the hotel!! It’s in the center of nara city It’s 5 mins walk to the nara shopping area, 5mins walk to the nara park there is deer walking around the hotel in the morning There is free morning city walk tour at 7:00-8:00 with local guide; the bicycle is free The view of the pond is nice the service is great!! 5stars to everything The room is spacious and the bed is comfortable They have drink lounge for free use with unlimited snacks; fruit juice, sake, beer, wine from 15:00pm-2:00am Really recommend everyone that travels to nara city to stay at this hotel!! The only downside of this hotel is the breakfast only provides japanese style food ; grill fish and onigiri The onigiri is huge, grill fish and miso soup is cold I wish they can make the onigiri smaller so We can taste more flavors And hope that they can provide a bakery corner for people who doesn’t like to eat fish Otherwise we loved the hotel and want to go Back again!! Ps: there is not parking space so we need to park at the coin parking costs us 2400¥ /night

It’s a perfect stay  The hotel located next to JR Nara station in which is connected by a bridge for 2/3 minutes walk. In Nara station, there are many restaurants and a supermarket in which is very convenient. The hotel room is modern and cozy. The room size is ok (18sqm). Thanks for the layout together with the king size bed. It’s very comfortable. The breakfast is a big surprise with very good taste in variety of food. Together with like the fine dining display, I enjoyed it a lot. There is a small gym in which is a merit as not much Japanese business hotel have it. A self service laundry also provided. Another free self locker for free store of luggage till overnight provide another flexibility of your travel plan.  In addition, there is a convenient right downstairs of the building provide another convenience. All in all, it’s out of my expectations. I expect it’s a normal business hotel but as a frequent traveler, I feel like stay in a 4 stars + hotel.  There is no doubt to return in case if I come back to Nara

Overall, my stay was just average. The front desk staff were not very friendly and lacked basic courtesy, which left a poor impression. The room cleanliness also needs improvement — there were visible stains on the sofa, and the blanket had an unpleasant odor, suggesting it might not have been properly cleaned. Even more disappointing, the disposable slippers seemed to have been used before, which is unacceptable. That said, everything else was fine. The hotel is still one of the better options in this small town, with a convenient location and decent facilities. The rooftop spa is a nice feature — it’s clean and offers a great view. If the staff attitude and room hygiene can be improved, this place has the potential to become an excellent hotel.

Fufu Nara is a wonderful hotel that offers a truly relaxing and luxurious experience. The hotel is very clean and well maintained, with beautiful rooms that feel calm and comfortable. The service is excellent — the staff are attentive, polite, and always ready to help, making us feel very well taken care of throughout our stay. The food is delicious and beautifully presented, using high-quality ingredients that really highlight Japanese cuisine. Every meal felt special and memorable. The location is also great, surrounded by nature and close to Nara’s main attractions, yet very peaceful and quiet. Overall, Fufu Nara is a perfect choice for anyone looking for comfort, great service, amazing food, and a relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommended

The hotel's location is decent, not far from Nara Park and other attractions. There were so many tourists from all over the world feeding the deer, probably hundreds of them. There's also a 'national treasure palace' that's under 'renovation' for 16 years. The hotel breakfast was alright. The public bath didn't have a cold plunge pool or a sauna, and it cost 150 yen. We weren't given the special key card for the public bath during check-in, so we only found out we couldn't get in when we arrived there. I personally feel like it's a bit discriminatory...

it a self-checkin and checkout system. hotel room was small but doable for a quick 2 nights stay just for the nara experience. the toiletries such as the shampoo and showergel were good. self help for mosturiser and other amenties from the lobby. the hotel is very near the nara park and the shopping street. the bed frame also had beautiful motifs nara. enjoy my experience with this hotel!

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The room was very comfortable and clean, and I really liked the pajamas supplied by the hotel. The lounge was really welcoming, and I liked that you could get hot or iced coffee at any time of day there. The tea selection was also extensive. I also really liked the public bath in the basement. After a day of walking in the winter, nothing beats a soak in the hot pool. Staff was always friendly and greeted me every time I came back or left the hotel. The location is also excellent, with lots of restaurants and cafes nearby, as well as the entrance to Nara Park!
