Decent hotel, around 10 mins walk away to the night market. Room was basic and decent, there are snacks and drinks serving at the lobby. Overall it's a good stay

Everything was excellent. Finding the location from Hualien Train Station required a bit of effort, as the property was situated slightly behind other buildings; however, at one point, the sign was visible from a distance. The service was excellent, and the breakfast was outstanding. The only negatives were that, with the property being old, only two-pronged electric outlets were available, with 3-prong to 2-prong converters available at the front desk, and that the fixed shower head was not well aimed. The mobile shower head had a mount that was too low. Considering all the factors, I would highly recommend the property to anyone looking to stay in the area.

The hotel's location is absolutely ideal and convenient, just a minute's walk from Kenting Main Street. It offers bright, open views with a very pleasant sea vista. Our room was neat and impeccably clean. The staff were incredibly attentive; they even proactively contacted us about an approaching typhoon, advising us to stock up on food. We were extremely satisfied with the hotel's overall service and would definitely book here again.

The location was perfect, close to the bus stop. The room was small, but there was a water server in the hallway, free powdered coffee and tea (both sweet), and some snacks, which was appreciated. There was no refrigerator in the room, but there was a shared refrigerator so we were able to store fruit and yogurt. The staff were also kind. I was glad to be able to stay in a private room for this price. However, there was only one bath towel provided, so I think it would have been better if there was a face towel.

Although the location is a bit far from the downtown area But for a pet-friendly B&B, it is pretty clean. Because the B&B is surrounded by farmland, there are indeed some small insects But it won't have much impact It's just that the high voltage electricity nearby makes people a little concerned. The rooftop view is also nice It's great that the B&B has an elevator

The hotel is closed by the main train station and provides excellent service. They provide buffet style of breakfast and dinner. The foods were so delicious and so many different choices. They have 24 hours coffee and tea at the rest area. The whole hotel, restaurant, room, bathroom, elevator….we’re so clean and cozy. All the hotel staff were so kindly and attentive in service. The hotel also has free indoor and outdoor parking lots. The guests could do their own laundry free of charge, very convenient. We have enjoyed the stay and would love to visit in the future. Over all, this is a great hotel to stay and good bargain for all the services. We enjoyed the stay so very much.

Very friendly check-in. Basic but mostly good accommodation with aircon. Spacious capsule, but the mattress is thin & your hips, shoulder, back, etc. have pressure on the base, making for uncomfortable sleep. Also, capsule itself has no ventilation so it gets hot inside even with the room well air conditioned. The doors are quite low, so tall people should take care. Seems to attract a good type of guest. Clean bathrooms, nice common area, and very close to the Kenting Express bus stop at the local police station, and just meters from the night market with a plethora of food options, clothing stalls, balloon shooting, and sexy barmen serving very expensive cocktails (visual admiring is free, though).

Room is nice. Hotel has a good location &pool and breakfast. Staff speaks English well. The only minus is that there is a some cleanliness problem. The bathroom partially dirty or even moldy. In total still absolutely recommendable if you are not to picky regarding the cleaniness of the bathroom

Yilan is famous for its stunning mountain and ocean views, rich local culture, delicious food (like taro ice cream and milk rolls), and diverse activities (hot springs, scenic countryside, family-friendly spots such as the National Center for Traditional Arts and Dongshan River). It's perfect for couples, families, and friends traveling together. The opening of the Xueshan Tunnel has made transportation much more convenient. Here, you can experience everything from natural hidden gems like Matcha Mountain to creative parks like the Chung Hsing Cultural and Creative Park, enjoying a leisurely, slow-paced lifestyle or thrilling activities like kayaking. Even on rainy days, there are plenty of indoor attractions, ensuring a wide array of activities that never get repetitive.

HHong Jian WenRoom is cosy and clean! Its located next to Taipei Main Station making it very convenient and accessible to TRA, Metro, Airport MRT, Bus, etc. However, the building is apparently housing multiple hotels / office buildings. So accessing the hotel might make you waits for 5-10mins of lift during peak hours like morning/evening time... Staff Service is great! There's free wifi indicated but I only managed to connect it for a couple of hours during my 4 nights of stay there. The remaining time, my room wifi didnt even appear on the list. Additionally, when i'm on my personal line, the signal is pretty weak too. Overall, acceptable stay.

CCP_LeeI write with much disappointment on your lapse in hotel service. I checked in on 3/12/25 and my son caught a cold. I was at the hotel lobby at 1.5hrs earlier requesting for a check in but it’s allowed. My son and I were left to rest n sleep at the lobby. No one came to us or any empathy shown at all. The next day as my son was unwell n resting in the room, there was dragging sounds that can be heard from the room which lasted for about an hour plus. I called the reception and was told that there is no guest staying above my room 701 nor beside us. My hair stands and immediately requested for a change of room. Without empathy, the reception told me that it could housekeeping upstairs. I was even more puzzled n worried why is there housekeeping where there is no one staying above my room n beside my room? The reception mentioned that they will check again even though I requested for a change of room a few times. Finally, a lady who came to ‘help me’ change room. She given me a doubtful expression and asked me if the dragging sound is still there with no empathy. Thankfully after she asked, there are dragging sounds are heard. She was standing in my room to only see me scramble to pack my things with no apology or empathy. To make things worse, she asked me what time I want to have my breakfast the next day. I really do not appreciate the question when I busy packing my things to a new room. I was later told by the in charge for that day named Connie that the staff are trained not to help guest with their luggage. So is this the reason to show no empathy to your guests by asking the guests' breakfast timing? The lady brought me to third floor but I do not feel good at the walkway as super dark and eerie feel and requested for another room. On my final day staying at the hotel, I was given a call half an hour before 11am to ask to check out of the hotel. I had never encounter such thing before. It then brings me the question whereby if your check in time is 6pm and your check out time is 11am, why then there is a need to rush guests out of the hotel? The hotel will have ample 7hrs for housekeeping. Also, if the room beside my room 701 n above unit has no guest staying, why is it that I cannot check in early on the day of arrival on 3/12/25 where my son is not well? Even more shocking to me, during checking out of the hotel, I was given a document saying that I purchased laundry item which I did not. Imagine if it’s a confidential document that the staff reveal to a wrong guest? This is totally not professional. I requested for the names of staff and the email for me to feedback to the management but they are not willing to do it. I was standing at the front counter in the cold wind for 10 minutes requesting for it. It's really ridiculous! Later, the in charge that day named Betty finally succumb to my request but repeat rudely her name to me. It's such a shame that the hotel is such a good location but I will seriously reconsider or even recommend anyone to stay in there again I hope to hear from you on the above mentioned. Thank you.

GGuest UserThe hotel looks dingy and old from the outside but inside is clean and well maintained. The room has all the basic amenities including slippers but the space is really small even for 1 person. The location is excellent, within 5mins walk from Taipei mrt station and there are many eateries and shops just outside the hotel.

CcalingThe room has a bathtub and is clean! There is a hair dryer, but you need to bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste. Good location, 3-8 minutes walk by bus or MRT Breakfast is simple but tastes OK❤️ The only drawback is probably that the pillow becomes flat after sleeping. There is a small street selling food on Shuangcheng Street behind me. I stayed here for 2 nights. We all went to eat different delicacies from different stalls, including pig's knuckle rice, fried rice, dry noodles, mixed soup, sweet soup, chicken cakes, and pot noodles. They were all great. No pitfalls.

GGuest UserFor the price, this place was very disappointing. First surprise was when checking in, you're told that you have to hand your keys in whenever you leave. I asked why, and they said they don't want people copying the keys, but it certainly doesn't make me feel my stuff is safe when I don't have the key. Why they couldn't use a key card system like every other hotel, I don't know, but they wouldn't have that problem if they did. In any case, the locks are terrible. Like the kind for locking a bathroom door, it'd probably open if you rattled hard enough! The room itself clearly hasn't been redecorated in years, and looks tatty and everything is old and outdated. Worryingly, clearly there's a water leak from the bathroom and the corner of the wall on the bedroom side showed obvious water damage and looked damp. I think the room had been cleaned well enough but everything was so old, I didn't really want to touch anything. There was no quilt cover, just a sheet under it, so who knows how dirty that might have been. Likewise, there was a water cooler in the room rather than supplying bottled water, but I didn't feel confident trying it and bought bottled water from the shop instead. I think they'd tried to make an effort to make the rooms colourful. That was a focus of the room pictures and also they have photos of different room styles downstairs in the breakfast room too, but it just looks a bit weird. In my room, it looks like they found a random outdoors picture on the internet and copy pasted some random English text over the top. So, there's a full wall sized advert for a foreign internet company. It just looks tacky on a bedroom wall! The shower is over a bath, which is pointless as the bath is about 1m long and so nobody would fit in it comfortably anyway. Of course, there's no shower curtain so everything in the wet room gets soaked when you have a shower. Also, there's a sign by the toilet paper dispenser telling you not to put paper in the toilet, so I put my dirty paper in the bin provided. Was quite shocked that they don't clean the room daily as it wasn't a pleasant smell a day later. The breakfast was very basic Chinese style. I've enjoyed the Chinese breakfast in every other hotel I've stayed here, but here it's basically only rice, tofu and pickled vegetables. The location is good though. Close to the train station, and so near to all the sights as well.

GGuest UserCharming old hotel which is being renovated nicely. Very close to a super cool night market and metro station. Staff was professional but not the friendliest. Room was clean and fresh except for some areas of the shower- mold and slimy gunk on the door and rubber thresholds. I’m sure just an area that gets overlooked when cleaning. But it was an eyesore and a pretty big turnoff. Wish they’d warn you that because the hotel is under renovations, breakfast is literally just one small sandwich. But the coffee/cocoa/sodas and snacks in the lobby are a nice touch. We were charged ¥200 for every hour we stayed past checkout time. But it was nice to be able to stay later since our departing flight wasn’t until later that night. And like most hotels, they looked after our luggage once we checked out so we could walk around before departing this cool area of Taipei. Would definitely stay at again.

AAnonymous UserSmall hotel in Japanese room style, clean, compact space for three people. Good location close to Taipei main station, easy to find hotel on the fifth floor in the same building of McDonald's and can walk to Ximenting or train and bus station conveniently. Hotel service includes a shared kitchen, simple breakfast like toast, peanut butter jam and coffee for free 7 -11 am daily. Just across the road I found a Japanese restaurant with good taste and reasonable prices. From here I ride a bus/mrt to the temple, museums and night market easily too.

SSglobangFor the past 10 years, whenever I visit Taipei, I’d definitely book my few nights stay at Star Beauty. I wouldn’t say it’s the best but their prices were pretty reasonable with good bed and they upholds a standard of cleanliness. The nearest MRT station would be Jiantan but it’s probably a 10 mins walk. And about 13 mins walk to Shilin Night Market from hotel. Their room walkway is slightly dimmer but that’s no issue for me. Hotel surrounding has lots of convenient stores and eateries..
