The open-air bath is very nice and the tatami is very comfortable. However, the overall property is older than expected, and the room I stayed in had mold spots on the walls. The food was very poor. It was the two worst meals I had during my entire trip to Japan. It wasn’t just that it was light, but there really wasn’t anything delicious except rice: (The total price was HKD3xxx per night, which was way overpriced.

I stayed here once in 2016 and I never forgot it. I like this hot spring hotel very much. The environment is good, the service is good, and the banquet is delicious. So I booked two more nights this time. Overall, I feel that the hotel is too old and not as clean as before. The quilt smells like meat. Maybe the quilt core has not been changed for a long time. I told the front desk the next day and it was changed in the evening. I don’t know what machine the hotel turned on on the first night. The room was noisy all night. My ears were vibrating against the pillow. I was too tired and fell asleep after taking sleeping pills. After I told the hotel, it was very quiet on the second night. The banquet was not as exquisite and delicious as before. I was a little disappointed. The cherry blossoms at the door are still very good. You can see the beautiful cherry blossoms from the room

It was convenient to have a check-in and check-out shuttle bus.
After checking out, load your luggage on the shuttle bus and go to Nara Station.
It is very easy to go sightseeing nearby because they store your luggage at the Mikasa Ryokan waiting area at Nara Station.
The kaiseki is delicious, and the view of Nara City from the lounge when checking in is really nice.
