Pool was under maintenance during the period of stay. Location though at night market was still a distance away from railway station. Taxi fare abt TWD220. There was hotel shuttle service but no clear instructions on how to book in advance. Info not available on trip.com. Concierge staff did not readily offer the service also. Was told only available to members. Not for 3rd party booking. Am disappointed.
Room was spacious. 2 queen size beds. But toilet and bathroom were small. Head will hit the door if I sit at toilet bowl and lean just a bit forward. The bathroom door hits the rain shower head, so if not notice, and open the door with force may break the glass door.
Yellow lights in the room were very dim. Make ambience cozy and classy but very straining to the eyes.
2 out of 3 laundry machines out of order. Laundry powder did not dispense from vending machine. Hv to change coins at lobby when laundry is at 6th floor.
Overall, not quite up to expectations unfortunately.

Stayed here last year and thought I'd come back to the same place. Wasn't quite as good as I remembered, but good for the price.
First impressions of the room was that it was great except the cleaning wasn't quite on point - first thing I saw in the bathroom was a used tooth pick on the side next to the sink and the big chair had 2 dead insects on it.
Facilities are otherwise good, but I didn't remember the TV being this bad. Booked up via some old school antenna and not a single channel was HD. Even the ones with an HD logo were SD and blurry. Everything else is great and handy that they have 2 washing machines and 2 dryers (free apart from $30 for detergent) although one person had hogged both dryers so I had a long wait before I could use a drying machine.
Location is fantastic. Easy to walk to most of the sights, and right in the middle of loads of cool food places, even if most of them always seem to be shut!

We had a wonderful stay at Royal Fine Hotel in Kaohsiung City. The location is great — just about a 400m walk from the train station, which made getting around really convenient. The reception staff were incredibly nice and attentive, and we loved the free snacks and drinks available in the welcoming area. There’s even a laundry room on Level 2, which was super helpful.
Our room was clean and comfortable, and we were pleasantly surprised to find complimentary snacks waiting for us. The shower was spacious, and the water pressure was amazing.
We’re sorry we don’t have hotel photos to share, but here are some pictures of the city instead. We truly enjoyed our stay every night!

Overall, the hotel is good and service from the staff is great too. Breakfast Hotel has a good spread and enjoyed the food there. Hotel is well located near the Fengjia Night Market and you can go there in 3 min but is not very near the city centre and you may need to take a bus or walk there.
.
Positives:
1. Staff are nice.
2. Provided 4 bottles of water and snacks.
Negatives:
1. The bathroom doesn't have a power socket making it really inconvenient as we have to dry our hair in the room.
2. The pillows are too soft and lacks structure for support.
3. Asking for an extra quilt requires a payment, which is 100 dollars.
4. They don't provide basic amenities like toothpaste or toothbrushes. But the booking platform does not specify this, making it extremely inconvenient for guests .
5. The walking distance from here to taichung station takes more than 10 minutes.
6. They have a breakfast round at 9am (there are two rounds), but when we got to the dining area, most the food was gone and they did not even add extra food. The quality of food was disappointing, and not made to a good standard.

Choosing hotels for my Taiwan trip took nearly a week because I can be quite picky about accommodations. ILLUME turned out to be the perfect choice, meeting all my priorities.
From the moment I dropped off my luggage in the elegant lobby, I felt welcomed. The staff was friendly and even accommodated my request for an early check-in, allowing me to settle in two hours ahead of the standard 4 PM check-in time.
I was assigned a room next to the sauna and steam room, which I appreciated for its convenience. However, there were some noises in the evening from nearby banquet events and guests doing laundry, but as someone who tends to stay up late, it didn't bother me at all.
The gym is shared and well-equipped, typically not crowded except during peak hours when fitness classes draw in more guests. My room was clean and received daily housekeeping, although there were a couple of times when the cups weren't cleaned. I understand they might have thought I was still using them, so no complaints there.
It’s also worth noting that there’s a 7-11 convenience store just downstairs, connected directly to the hotel lobby, where they sell Taiwan's famous branded cakes like 太陽餅 and 鳳梨蘇. Plus, there are numerous buses nearby, making transportation super convenient—I didn’t even need to rely on the subway!
I really enjoyed the air conditioning—it was cool enough for a comfortable night’s sleep. Overall, I had a fantastic stay and will definitely return without hesitation!

Hotel room was clean and cozy with daily housekeeping services. Staff were very helpful and friendly. check-in was a breeze but there’s no priority for amazzing club stars members even though there was a signage indicated at reception. Breakfast spread was great and there’s a playroom at level 5. There is coin laundry available but the dryer was pretty weak, my clothes remained damped after a 90 mins cycle (paid ntd10 per 10 mins). Hotel is beside shin kong Mitsukoshi so it’s really convenient.

The service was very welcoming, and the room had drinks and cookies. The facilities were relatively new and the room was clean. The location is about a 15-minute walk from Fengjia Night Market. The street is somewhat remote and feels like an industrial area; rooms near the road may experience car noise at night.

My 2nd experience within 3 months with Holiday Inn in different country. Hotel shower, washroom, bed and work desk were well arranged. Water dispenser, coffee and microwave placed at the great area for comfortable sitting and chatting. Hotel for staying guests are able to to use the self laundry and dryer at a cost within Hotel. Good spread of breakfast and it situated near the GanCheng, main bus terminal and there are many travel buses services around the area.

Cleanliness: Consistent cleanliness and they’re committed to high a standards cleanliness.
Amenities: The hotel may offer a variety of amenities, from a well-served food, catering to diverse guest needs. they have a convenient washing machine that is easy to follow. And even they helped me to book a taxi going back to the airport.
If I were to come back in Taipei, I would definitely choose this hotel again! Thank you, HPW!❤️
GGuest UserI found some small black debris after the water came out of the bathtub in the room. I'm not sure if it was in the pool or in the water. I still saw it after the water ran out and was replayed. The overall visual of the room was very comfortable and clean. Maybe my skin is more sensitive and I still felt a little itchy caused by dust mites, but I still slept well until dawn. It was nice to relax and have a good rest in a natural environment.
For meals, we had hotpot in the evening and breakfast in the morning. Both were average. There were not many styles but they were enough. The attitude of the service staff was very good!
GGuest UserThe room was clean and the location was convenient. There are snacks and coffee available in the lobby on the 3rd floor. It's a good choice overall.
The only thing that could be improved was on my last night, someone checked into the room next door, and the sounds of video calls, music, and conversations were very loud. The two corner rooms are too close together and offer no soundproofing at all (please see the attached picture). There was even a door in my room directly connecting to the adjacent room, which, although locked, further proves the lack of sound insulation.
Since it was my last night, I didn't bother to report it to the lobby front desk.
HHongblaMy stay at T-hotel in Taichung was a breeze. The hotel's central location made it easy to explore the city. The room was modern, clean, and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, making my experience even better.
台台灣娜娜The room was fully equipped with smart features, and although some of the devices were a bit clunky, it still made for a fantastic experience. The sound system was great, and the room itself was large and comfortable! The communal activity area even had a waterslide! While it was on the smaller side, even I, a 'big kid' at 168cm, had a blast on it. The ground-floor terrace pool was huge and wonderful, offering plenty of Instagrammable seating. There was even a separate smaller pool area! It's absolutely perfect for a family getaway with children, and the soundproofing is excellent, so you never have to worry about disturbing anyone. The in-room hot spring was superb! The tub was so spacious it felt like it could easily accommodate five people. The only minor downside was the bed, which was quite firm. However, for those who prefer a firm mattress, it's a major plus and a refreshing change from hotels that only feature soft beds.
SSumi YapI had a really pleasant stay at Hotel Gracery Taipei! The environment is nice and comfortable. It’s super convenient — only about 3 minutes’ walk to the train station entrance.
I love that each floor provides free mineral water, and the room design is so thoughtful — there’s a separate toilet with an intelligent toilet seat, a separate bathtub, and even a dedicated hand wash area. The bed is very comfortable, and the hotel crew are extremely nice and helpful.
There’s also a laundry facility inside the hotel, so I didn’t need to go out to find a laundry shop. Plus, there’s 7-Eleven and FamilyMart just outside the hotel — super convenient!
Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Taipei! 🌟

QQy1234Good stay for one night, simple hotel but has bathtub. Lift and corridor are rather stuffy. From taoyuan AirPort Express station take exit 6 is easiest with elevator (read past reviews and tried this route). Y21 exit is stairs only and linked to the underground mall which has demon slayer exhibition. Breakfast set is from Fuhang, receptionist will call you when delivered and go down to collect. Salted soya is not to my taste. Fried dough is oily but nice.
AAnonymous UserEverytime we go to taiwan we always stay at this hotel as we are a family of 4. The location is about 10 mins walk to ximending thats the shopping area.
The hotel now DOES NOT give toilettries in thr bathroom. They just have the dispenser of shampoo and shower gel. So you have to bring your own toothrbush, toothpaste, shaver, vanity kit etc.
They do change your bath towels VERY PROMPTLY.
The receptionists were all fabulous! Very courteous! Very nice to talk to!
We will definitely still stay at this hotel the next time we go back to taiwan.
Happy New Year everyone!

Ww3305cI stayed at this hotel in Taipei for 3 nights. The transportation around it is incredibly convenient. Songshan Station is right downstairs, and Songshan MRT Station and Raohe Night Market are just a few minutes' walk away. It's also only a 10-minute taxi ride to Taipei 101 and the Xinyi district.
The hotel lobby is on the 17th floor. Breakfast was average, but they offered both Chinese and Western options, and the freshly made Chinese rice rolls were quite good.
I'd like to specially commend a male staff member who was working the night shift on November 27th. We requested a room change because our original room had a strong odor, and he promptly arranged a new one for us, even upgrading us to a room with a better view. He helped us with our luggage, pushing the cart, and patiently explained the situation. The room itself was spacious, and the facilities were all new and very clean, making for a comfortable stay.
The hotel service was also excellent. They offer a complimentary shuttle bus to nearby short-distance stops daily. When the driver was off, they even proactively offered to reimburse our taxi fare.
GGuest UserStayed here for 5 nights. Everything was great, rooms were equipped with necessary amenities and lots of hanging spaces. Toilet, shower and sink are separated, which was a nice touch so you won't have to fight for it. Toilet was also equipped with a bidet (major plus!). Drinking and hot water are readily available on each floor, and the hotel also provides kettle and a jug to fill. Price is reasonable and overall it was a great stay!
