3-Star Hotels in Bukhara Region, Uzbekistan

Overall, I'm very satisfied with the value for money. I'd like to highlight three things that stood out. First, the location is excellent for exploring the Old City. If you get too hot and tired while sightseeing, you can easily pop back to your room to cool down. Also, the room is spacious and clean for the price. Walking around town, I noticed everywhere that Uzbek people really value cleanliness. Finally, the staff's hospitality is wonderful. If you can speak a little English, they'll happily help you with various requests. Some might say the breakfast has limited options. But honestly, you'll be eating plenty of meat and fats out for lunch and dinner anyway. Perhaps it's best to stick to just fruit for breakfast. During my stay, a glass partition was installed between the toilet and shower, so the issue of a wet bathroom floor is no longer a problem. Lastly, whether you use Yandex or Google Maps, they tend to show narrow alleys that cars can't actually enter. This isn't just a hassle for the driver, but also means you end up walking from an inconvenient spot. It's best to just set your destination to the nearest bus stop to the Old City from the beginning.

I chose to stay at Dunyo Palace as it had positive reviews by Trip members and it had an outdoor swimming pool. It was also great value for money for solo travellers. I arrived early than expected at check in and staff were ready to greet me! Wonderful reception staff! The hotel was bigger than expected and the reception area was very modern and clean with nicely decorated interior. I was shown to my room which was on the second floor. I stayed in a single persons room 205. It was bigger than expected with a big bathroom. There were extras like a bath, comfy chairs to chill. I had a fridge, kettle and a full size mirror. I like a full size mirror. The room also had air conditioning which was very good and very quiet. I had a view of the front of the hotel from my window that was pleasant. My room smelled very pleasant and was a non smoking room. My bed was very comfortable for my back. Breakfast was a buffet with a lot of Uzbekistan food which I had never tried before. It was a very busy breakfast area. There was a big range of different foods including fruits and cheeses. I liked the spinach parcels they were very tasty. A lot of the food was homemade. I thought it was delicious. There are a range of buses that offer great service to solo travellers arriving on the train. I caught a Marshuktra from the train station number 378. The Marshuktra dropped me at the bus stop on the road for No 1 bus that stops right outside the hotel. You can also take bus 7/33 All very easy and cheaper than a taxi. I would definitely stay at this hotel again because it has a very nice swimming pool that I used in the afternoon after a long morning sight seeing. I would highly recommend visiting Sitorai Mohi Hosa which is a short distance from the hotel and you can take bus 7/33 or walk. It’s an amazing visit if you are interested in art, culture and architecture. The hotel is very convenient for solo travellers who are a bit too old for Hostels! And like a cold swim after a long day sightseeing without breaking the piggy bank! The first pictures are of my hotel room and the front on the hotel. We had two fantastic days here and were really blown away by the hospitality. The room was super spacious and spotless. The interior is gorgeous – you can tell they've thought of every little detail. I had a couple of requests during our stay, and the staff were so helpful and friendly. They even gave us great tips on where to try authentic Bukhara plov and some really delicious shashlik. Breakfast was amazingly varied and tasty – everything was freshly prepared, and we absolutely loved it. The location is perfect too – just a 5-minute walk to the Ark Citadel, with convenience stores nearby and a big market where you can find absolutely everything, from souvenirs and clothes to fresh fruits and veggies. And on top of that, it's honestly the best value for money you could ask for. Highly recommend!

The front desk staff were super friendly ☺️ The rooms and courtyard are also lovely! It's less than a 5-minute walk to Lyab-i Hauz. You can even call a Yandex (taxi) right to the front of the hotel, which is very convenient!

This is an excellent boutique hotel with comfortable rooms. It also operates a popular Western restaurant where I ate every day. The location is superb; right outside, you'll find the Afanti statue, various madrasahs, and the bazaar. Most major attractions are within walking distance.

The overall experience was good, but the overall facilities are a bit old (perhaps this is the standard in Uzbekistan), and it is a bit difficult to carry luggage without an elevator. The service attitude is polite but not very enthusiastic. It should be noted that you need to pay an additional tourist tax of about 50 RMB to get the small white receipt, and you must pay in cash, which is different from what was written on Ctrip. I am a bit speechless.

The location is excellent, just a 5-minute walk to Lyab-i Hauz Plaza, which is very convenient. Since most of Bukhara's tourist attractions are concentrated around Lyab-i Hauz, it was an ideal spot for sightseeing. There's a convenience store right nearby, making it easy to grab water and snacks. In my room, the shower water was quite lukewarm, which felt a bit chilly. Also, the bath towels were stiff and rough. The breakfast was delicious and offered a satisfying variety. I stayed during the hot summer, and since I had some time before my train, they kindly extended my check-out time by a few hours for free, which was a great help.

This hotel seems to have just opened in 2025. There were still some things being set up, like around the power outlets. Due to room availability, my reservation for a double room was upgraded to a triple. Honestly, since I was traveling solo, I would have preferred a comfortable double bed rather than three narrow single beds. The location, according to the map, seemed a bit out of the way, but actually, it was good because I could start sightseeing from the Kukaldosh Madrasah on the eastern end and work my way west. There are also ATMs and grocery stores nearby. Breakfast is served in the courtyard, but it's not a buffet. There are fruits, bread, yogurt, etc., and they take requests for fried eggs or omelets for the cooked dishes. The towels are provided, but they were quite stiff, so if that bothers you, it might be a good idea to bring your own. Despite some negative points, the staff was kind and the price was reasonable, so overall, I think it's a good hotel.

A wonderful place to stay in Bukhara! ❤️ We recently stayed at Samarqand Darvoza and were very pleased with our choice. The hotel left an exceptionally positive impression. First and foremost, I want to highlight the cleanliness — the room was very tidy, clean, and cozy. After busy walks around Bukhara, it was especially pleasant to return to a comfortable room. The staff deserves special thanks 🌸 All employees were polite, friendly, and attentive; we felt genuine hospitality. And the breakfasts — that's a love all its own! ☕️🥐 Everything was delicious, fresh, and hearty, an excellent way to energize before exploring the city. Thank you, Samarqand Darvoza, for the warm welcome and pleasant atmosphere! If we find ourselves in Bukhara again, we will definitely choose this hotel. We gladly recommend it! ⭐️

I had great days here. The mistress was very kind and generous even though we couldn’t talk in the same language. I was impressed with her hospitality. The room was clean and comfortable.
