Royal Plaza Hotel

My go-to hotel for my many trips to Hong Kong, this 5-star standard in the heart of Mong Kok is simply unbeatable. The transportation is second to none, with seamless access to MOKO mall directly from Mong Kok East Station on the East Rail Line. Dining, entertainment, and shopping are all just downstairs, making getting around incredibly efficient. The rooms are significantly larger than the average Hong Kong hotel, with warm, elegant decor. The floor-to-ceiling windows offer fantastic city views, and all in-room facilities are well-maintained, with meticulous housekeeping. The recreational facilities are comprehensive; the high-altitude pool allows you to swim while enjoying panoramic city street views, perfect for unwinding after a long journey. The front desk service is personalized, and they go above and beyond to accommodate any requests, showing great attention to detail. It's rare to find such tranquility within a bustling commercial district, balancing convenience and comfort perfectly. The overall value for money is exceptional; for accommodation in Hong Kong, look no further than Royal Plaza Hotel.

First, the taxi pulled up. The staff member who came to greet us was extremely polite and proactive in helping with our luggage – excellent service. The check-in process was also very fast. Once we got to the room, it was smaller than I imagined. Perhaps the hotel's photography makes the rooms look bigger, especially the bed, as I specifically booked a king-size bed, but it was smaller than expected. 😅 The room was generally clean, but I noticed streaks on the glass tumblers, like they had just been wiped with a cloth, and some watermarks. I don't think this should happen 🥲 because normally, glasses should be washed, not just wiped. There was also a strange, sour, stale odor in the room that lasted all night 🥲 It seemed to be coming from the air conditioning vent. 😳 The bedding looked tidy, but I felt like I was being bitten by fleas all night. However, this isn't a major issue, as I might just be overly sensitive; the two children with me didn't feel anything 😄 The hotel's dinner buffet was very generous ☺️ but the breakfast buffet was quite average with not many food choices 😄 If you're going for a day trip to the water park, this hotel is very convenient ☺️ Perhaps it was just my room with the strange odor, which made me quite uncomfortable 😳 Maybe the air conditioning needs cleaning.

Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong

A perfect experience! We originally booked a Deluxe Seaview King Room, but the hotel upgraded us to an Executive Seaview Suite and, as per our request, provided a twin-bedded suite. The lady who checked us in was very gentle, and the check-in process was incredibly smooth. I can't sleep on soft pillows, and the Four Seasons has always remembered this, providing me with a firm pillow and proactively asking if I wanted to switch to a harder mattress – very thoughtful. The welcome amenities from the hotel were also very generous, including pineapple cake, pineapple buns, and milk tea cookies. My friend and I both agreed they were delicious. The welcome fruit was incredibly fresh, and the grapes had just the right amount of sweetness; even as someone who doesn't like sweets, I ate a lot. The mini-bar in the suite was also complimentary, and my favorites were the chips and coconut juice. We also visited the Argo bar. Even on a Saturday night, it wasn't overly crowded, and the Hong Kong Punch was impressive. Our booking included breakfast, and we chose the à la carte restaurant. I loved the waffles and bircher muesli, and my friend highly praised the Japanese set meal she ordered. All in all, a perfect hotel and a perfect experience.

The room was spacious and comfortable, a real luxury given its prime location in Central. Hong Kong Park is right downstairs, perfect for an evening stroll to catch the sunset, which was incredibly pleasant. What truly stood out was the Executive Lounge access; they offered meals and snacks throughout the day that were practically full meals themselves. For someone with a busy schedule, this provided a dining experience far superior to eating at home – I was incredibly impressed! The exquisite breakfast at Café on the 56th floor and the drinks, snacks, soups, salads, dim sum, and dishes at the 7th-floor lounge were all so refined and thoughtful. Not to mention the grand and abundant breakfast, which was the perfect start to my relaxed, leisurely time after a demanding work period. Thank you, I will definitely be back.

Hopewell Hotel

The front desk kindly upgraded us to a suite for free, which even came with a separate bedroom and living room! Both rooms had their own TVs, and the air conditioning could be adjusted independently. It was a fantastic room! Very spacious and clean, with two bathrooms. The washer/dryer combo was in the bathroom, but you need to bring your own detergent, which you can buy at a small shop on Chun Yuen Street downstairs. The mini-fridge and microwave in the room were also very useful. You can ask the front desk for Hong Kong adapter plugs; just return them at check-out. The hotel also offers different pillow options. Both the gym and outdoor pool are quite large. During our stay, on Thursday, the pool and exterior windows were being cleaned, which shows how much the hotel values hygiene. We could also store our luggage for free on the day of check-out. There are plenty of restaurants, 'bing sutt' (local diners), and 'cha chaan teng' (Hong Kong-style cafes) inside and around the Hopewell Centre, offering options for every budget. There are also several brand stores for shopping. 'My Cup of Tea' and 'Beef King' are both on Chun Yuen Street. During our stay, the staff at Sasa in the building even proactively gave us discounts when we shopped there. The lobby is on the 19th floor. We entered through the Hopewell Gourmet Street and just had to go to the 3rd floor, then transfer to the elevator for the 19th floor. It was a bit confusing the first time because of the split-flow elevators, but just follow the clear and prominent signs when looking for the elevator, and once you get your bearings, it's very convenient. The hotel is close to Wan Chai MTR station, making transportation very easy. You can walk all the way to Causeway Bay in just 20-30 minutes, or take the 'ding ding' tram back and forth.

Perfect score, 100/100! The service was incredibly warm, and the design of the lobby, restaurant, pool, and guest rooms all exuded exceptional quality. I've stayed at four W hotels – Xiamen and Changsha (no views), and Shanghai and Hong Kong (with views) – and the Hong Kong W offered the best overall experience. We checked in upstairs, and after registering my Marriott Bonvoy Titanium Elite membership, the duty manager arranged for us to stay in a Fantastic Suite, for which I'm extremely grateful. The experience was truly superb. The evening turndown service included chocolates and bottled water. The buffet breakfast met W's signature standard of quality. While I personally felt the variety wasn't as extensive as the Changsha W, the quality was definitely on point. The excellent service from the concierge, front desk, and even the housekeeping staff left a deep impression on me. The sky pool and the gym's elevated sea views were an absolute treat. Whether in the living room, bedroom, or bathroom, the unobstructed sea views were constantly with us – a marvelous feeling that words can hardly describe.

I was really satisfied with my stay here in Africa. It's an easy 8-minute walk from Shimen MTR station, which is on the Tuen Ma line. This makes it super convenient for getting to concerts at Kai Tak and Hung Hom. You can also easily transfer to the East Rail Line at Tai Wai for trips across the harbor to Admiralty or even up to Lo Wu in Shenzhen. The hotel and rooms are both brand new and offer great value for money.

Regal Airport Hotel

The hotel's location is perfect, just a 3-minute walk from the T1 check-in counter, which was ideal for our early morning flight. The hotel itself is beautiful inside and very well-equipped. The room was spacious, much larger than typical airport hotel rooms. However, the facilities are a bit dated; the mini-fridge in our room was broken. The bathroom was just okay, with an older toilet and average waterproofing/non-slip features, so extra caution is needed if you're traveling with children or pregnant individuals. Despite these points, the overall value for money is quite good. Service, however, needs improvement. I particularly want to highlight the receptionist at the ground floor breakfast area. We had an international flight at 9 AM and went down for breakfast promptly at 6:30 AM. My child had just woken up and had no appetite at all, but we were very pressed for time and couldn't wait for them to feel better. So, we asked the receptionist if we could pack a small amount of food for our child to take to the airport – literally just a piece of bread and an egg. The receptionist's attitude was incredibly unfriendly, and she very sternly refused my request, acting extremely condescending. I believe that even if there's a hotel policy against taking food out, as a representative of the hotel, you can refuse, but please maintain basic politeness and professionalism. It's one thing not to be sympathetic, but a cold attitude really damages the hotel's overall image and our impression of Hong Kong.

Came with my parents, and the hotel was pretty good. We arrived a little after one and were told that there were no standard rooms available, and we'd have to wait until three. However, we could upgrade to a sea-view room. So, we upgraded for 700/night with a 20% discount, and the sea view was absolutely amazing! But breakfast was way too expensive. If you're going to buy it, make sure to do it at check-in for an extra discount... The Hung Hom ferry terminal downstairs also goes to Central, and it's much less crowded.

The room was very comfortable and spacious, exactly like the pictures online. A special shout-out to the bathroom and shower – the water pressure was amazing, perfect for washing away a day's fatigue! And for just a few hundred bucks, the price was really fair! Getting to Tsim Sha Tsui in Kowloon by MTR takes a bit longer, but a taxi is quick and convenient, about twenty minutes. Tseung Kwan O station is also close to North Point and the Hong Kong Island direction. The hotel is right above Tseung Kwan O MTR Exit C, on top of a shopping mall, which is super convenient. The 7-Eleven downstairs is open until midnight. The hotel service was good too, although the late-night supper options were just okay. If you're really hungry and order once, there's not much to choose from, and ordering delivery in HK isn't as easy as in mainland China, haha. Also, there's a free hotel shuttle bus back to the Kowloon High-Speed Rail Station. The driver uncle was incredibly patient answering all my questions about the journey. I mentioned I wanted to go shopping at Elements, and he patiently explained where to get off and how to get back to the high-speed rail station. He was very nice, even helped me with my luggage so I didn't have to lift a finger. The service was excellent, thank you, driver uncle! Thumbs up to him! I'll definitely come back next time.
