I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. I've always wanted to try this Hotel since i was a child, because i once sent my mom for course. The staffs were all so friendly, i've got a free upgraded room. They have an amazing breakfast spread (better come down early because the foods are plenty!). My kids (and myself) enjoyed the pool. Definitely a worth visit. They have decorated a beautiful kolam too!

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at PARKROYAL Penang! From the moment we arrived, everything was smooth and welcoming. The service was excellent, and the entire team—from the front desk to housekeeping was professional, warm, and attentive. I surprised my husband with a birthday treat during our stay, and the hotel team made it extra special by sending the birthday surprise after we returned from the pool, which was such a thoughtful touch. My husband also planned to surprise me for our anniversary, and although the swan decoration on the bed was set up after we arrived, I truly appreciated the effort it was romantic and made the moment unforgettable. The dinner and breakfast were absolutely delicious great variety, fresh ingredients, and beautifully presented. The dining experience at Cinnamon Restaurant was made even better by the warm hospitality from Nadia, Hidayah, and the entire team. Special thanks to Zeyati, our room service staff, for her kindness and attention to detail, and to the bellman who helped us with our bags so efficiently. A big shoutout to the two amazing crew members at the Kids Club (sorry forget their name but i have picture of them) they were so attentive and caring with the children. My kids absolutely loved them, and their warmth made a big difference in our stay. We truly appreciate their effort and energy! The room was clean and spacious, the facilities were top-notch, and the beach access was perfect for a relaxing getaway. The hospitality shown by the crew and team was beyond expectations. Everything was excellent, and I truly appreciate the care and attention from everyone at PARKROYAL Penang. We’ll definitely come back again! Please give best recognition to all your team! they are superb amazing.

I had a great stay at this hotel! The room was quite spacious and clean. The hotel had a pleasant scent throughout, which made it feel very fresh and welcoming. The facilities were great, and the gym is well-equipped. The staff were friendly and helpful. Definitely a comfortable and pleasant experience — would stay again!

Staff gave us a free upgraded from Executive to Premium Pool Suite : ). The room is excellent with private pool, sauna and full sea view! The bedroom is very clean with separated bath tub and toilet. My girl enjoyed it very much! Best staycation in Penang.

Everything is excellent , except the location , it is abit far away from the town, and the parking lot is hidden. I took some time to find the entrance. Hope it will improve soon. Overall I like the room , I enjoying to stay there, cozy and comfortable

A bit of a let down for a 5 ⭐ facilities. Breakfast : 3/5 Bed : 1/5 (Very hard, had to ask the housekeeping to add on a topper) Facilities : 3/5 (a bit disappointed on the creaking sound of the door) Parking : 2/5 (basement parking is not stroller friendly) Kids room : 0/5 (there’s a smoking odour in the room maybe from the ventilation) Front desk : 1/5 (lack of professionalism, complain from 7am, attended at 8pm,the staff that help me checked in couldn’t speak in English properly and not even in Malay, very let down for a 5 ⭐) I will rate it as good value for money if it wasn’t a 5 star hotel for the overall amenities which are much more available than a normal boutique hotel. But overall not worth the price paid. Background, I am a heavy traveler and had more than 20 trips per year on hotel alone so I believe my opinion is justified knowing the differences. We even extend the trip by booking at their partner hotel (boutique) and had better experience in fact. Hope they can look into this😌 but I thanked the housekeeping and maintenance for attending to our needs 🩷

Hard Rock - Pleasant stay. Getting a superb experience from the Lagoon room. It is an amazing experience with the pool just in front of your room deck. Head into the pool for a swim anytime and back to the deck to chill on the bench. The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful, on the contrary, it is a bit disappointing on the concierge side as there is a contrast if comparing the two. Breakfast is great. A lot of selection and food is holding up its quality. However, the decorations and renovations seem to be a bit ‘outdated’, but not sure if this is intentional. The pool and surrounding facility are great as well, with the beach feel with sand on the floor surrounding the pool. There are sections of the pool which have sand as well. One thing to take note of is they have lifeguards on duty.

I rarely write reviews, but my recent stay in Penang with my son was absolutely fantastic. Every aspect exceeded our expectations, from the service and room facilities to the swimming pool. The breakfast, in particular, deserves a special mention. The food quality was, without a doubt, the best I've encountered in any hotel I've stayed at in Malaysia so far. While it wasn't a traditional buffet, each dish was thoughtfully prepared with great care.

The hotel is located in Teluk Bahang, furthest away from Batu Ferringhi Beach, offering excellent privacy and a peaceful environment. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the two swimming pools were great for relaxing. Although the beach area is small, it was still pleasant, and the breakfast variety was acceptable. However, the hospitality could be improved. I arrived at 1:30 PM and was informed that the room was not yet ready, and the receptionist would call once it was. Unfortunately, when I returned after 2:30 PM, the receptionist was missing, and I later found out that the room had already been ready for some time. Additionally, no welcome drink was offered upon arrival or during check-in. Overall, while the stay was comfortable and the facilities were good, the service experience was disappointing.

Let me tell you about this hotel I just stayed at! We arrived at midnight, and even though we were half-asleep, the friendly and professional staff at check-in were like a warm cup of cocoa on a winter day—totally comforting! They offered genuine help, and trust me, we were pretty clueless about everything when we got there. Now, the pool? Wowza! It’s an absolute icon! And the building itself keeps that charming colonial style, perfectly placed in a heritage area. If you’re tired of the same old tall buildings and flashy designs, this hotel is like a refreshing glass of lemonade after a long hike—just what you need! I stayed in a corner room, which was fantastic. I had this little nook that was perfect for relaxing and, believe it or not, for my packing and unpacking circus act. You know how it goes—shoving everything into the suitcase and then desperately trying to coax it all back out like it’s a game of Tetris! 😂 Now, here’s a hidden gem: the restaurant on the ground floor. We ended up dining there because, let’s be honest, who wants to trek around in the heat, right? But let me tell you, it was like finding gold at the end of a rainbow! The dishes were super impressive—totally elevated my expectations! To sum it all up, if you want a charming hotel experience with a touch of history, a great pool, and delicious food, this is the place. I can’t recommend it enough. Go ahead and book it—you won’t regret it! ❤️
