Guest UserThe hotel decor is quite new; there was a slight smell on the first day, but it was acceptable. We booked a standard room, but the front desk upgraded us to a deluxe twin room. The breakfast selection was quite extensive, and my child loved it. Additionally, the hotel has a laundry room and a gym. There are many residential areas around the hotel with plenty of food options; the Shuangheyuan restaurant nearby was particularly good. The only downside is that it's not a sea view room. If this room were beachfront, it would easily cost 1500+ yuan during peak season. The staff inside were also very good, especially the auntie in the laundry room, who was very diligent.

Guest UserThe interior design is beautiful, with lush greenery and lighting that create a relaxing atmosphere. The staff were exceptionally friendly; they greeted us with a smile and guided us in, and were patient when taking our order. Their quick responses throughout made us feel valued. The overall experience was much more comfortable than many other places in the same price range.

Overall, my experience wasn't great. I had booked a Business King Room for two nights. When I arrived at the hotel in the early hours, the front desk told me there was one last 'side sea view' room with a nice view, and asked if I wanted to upgrade for an extra fee. I agreed. As soon as I entered the room, I noticed a faint, mixed smell of what seemed like smoke and air freshener, which immediately made me uncomfortable. There was also an open bottle of drinking water on the TV cabinet, which gave me the impression that the hotel's cleaning was subpar, as they hadn't even replaced the previous guest's unfinished water. Normally, I would have asked for a room change, but I was exhausted from traveling and it was very late, so I just wanted to get some rest and didn't bother. The next morning, when I woke up and looked out the window, the weather was beautiful and the view was indeed stunning, which somewhat offset the discomfort I felt the day before. It wasn't until the second night that I discovered how poor the soundproofing was. I could clearly hear the sound of water running from the taps in the adjacent room. Later that night, I was already asleep but was woken up by loud arguments from what sounded like guests in either the room above or to the side. There also seemed to be some intense running and jumping. In short, I could clearly hear the arguments, and felt the bed and floor vibrating. This brand is considered a mid-to-high-end hotel within the HUAZHU Group, and I noticed it was renovated in 2022 (two years ago). The room rate wasn't cheap either, so this level of soundproofing is truly disappointing. The most important thing a hotel should provide guests is a good quality of rest, after all.

From a SingaporeanThe positive attitude and service performance of the staff ranging from front desk, concierge/security to breakfast restaurant and house keeping is excellent. The classic hotel personal service with a modern twist makes the stay a memorable experience. On my check-in, Ms Xiao Jiao and Ms Xiao Cong gave me and explained briefly the leaflet on the hotel’s suggested tourist attractions in Yantai. They also enthusiastically exchanged small RMB notes with me. They also gave me a piece of mooncake of my choice (and during my check-out too). The restaurant staff is attentive, replenishing food and drinks and attending to requests promptly. Due to my lack of command of Mandarin and accent, the chef cooked the wanton instead of the mackerel dumplings for me, he immediately served me the dumplings when he realised the miscommunication. The next morning, after serving me the mackerel dumplings, he, I think, recognised me, suggested I could add soup and condiments to the dumplings. I find their fleshly cooked dumplings are even better than the dumplings from the most famous dumplings restaurant in Yantai. The concierge staff on 2 days helped me book taxi using her phone app, paying in advance on my behalf as booking via internet cannot be settled in cash. The concierge/front desk lent me umbrella without question.
After a delayed and tiring flight, Mr Xiao Gao brought me to my room and explained the mechanics of the switches in the room. There was a hand-written welcome note from Ms Liu, with 2 cups of white fungus/goji drink beside it. The drink together with the note and fruits in the room, not only soothed my dry throat but also lifted the mood. House keeping provided fruits, white fungus/goji drink and dried chrysanthemum/rose flowers (to prepare for drinking) and 4 bottles (500 ml) of water daily, with up to 14 bottles at the lift lobby on my floor, and guests can also request house keeping for more bottles. On my check out day, during my breakfast, they left at the door handle, a bag of goodies, fruits and bottles of water and souvenirs (4 key chains with various types of sea shells), together with a hand-written farewell/bon voyage note from Ms Liu. Well done The Center Hotel staff, you are a pride to the hotel, the hospitality industry and Yantai!

Guest UserThe location is indeed quite convenient, and the environment is decent. As for the facilities, they're just okay – the first ten seconds of water from the bathtub faucet were rusty red. My biggest complaint, however, is about their 'free shuttle service.' If you don't offer it, don't advertise it. If you do, then actually provide it. I booked twice. The first time, they said the driver had finished for the day. The second time, they claimed they couldn't pick me up due to weather conditions. Is bad weather really an excuse? Do your drivers only operate electric vehicles or something?

QiuwufengseConveniently located with a bus stop right downstairs. The room was very spacious, and we even got an upgrade to a suite because we were traveling with a child. My kid absolutely loved the game console in the room. They also thoughtfully provided special toiletries and slippers for children, along with eye masks and small gifts, which was a really nice touch. The room was clean and tidy, and the bathroom had a great three-fixture separation. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in town.

Callum McNeill-KeayI recently completed a weekend stay at the Lanou International Hotel and would like to provide detailed and constructive feedback, particularly as I have stayed at this property several times in the past. While the hotel continues to benefit from an excellent location and a generally comfortable environment, several aspects of this visit fell considerably below the standard I previously experienced.
To begin with, the condition of the bathroom facilities has noticeably deteriorated. Fixtures that were once in good working order now appear significantly worn, with visible signs of ageing and inadequate maintenance. The shower fittings, tiling, and general bathroom infrastructure all seem overdue for refurbishment. This decline was unexpected, given the hotel’s formerly reliable standards.
Secondly, the professionalism and attentiveness of the staff—especially during the breakfast service—have diminished. Staff members frequently appeared disengaged, and the overall service felt disorganised. Routine tasks such as clearing tables promptly, maintaining a tidy service area, and interacting with guests courteously were not consistently met. This impacted the overall dining experience.
Additionally, the hotel appears increasingly ill-prepared to accommodate international guests. The breakfast selection is limited in terms of food variety typically expected by international travelers, and basic utensils such as knives and forks were often unavailable or had to be specifically requested. This lack of consideration for diverse guest needs detracts from the hotel’s appeal to a broader clientele.
I hope this feedback is taken constructively. The hotel has strong underlying strengths and has provided much better experiences in the past. With improved maintenance of facilities, enhanced staff training, and more thoughtful catering to international guests, the Lanou International Hotel could readily return to the higher standards it once offered.

ShuimuzhangI chose this Atour hotel for my trip, primarily because of the brand, but I ended up a bit disappointed. To be fair, the hotel's location is quite good, right by Fisherman's Wharf, making it convenient for exploring. However, I do have a few complaints: First, check-in time is at 4:00 PM, so guests should consider this carefully. Second, the hygiene here was quite frankly, speechless. When I entered the room, the slippers provided were wet and unusable. The front desk manager did handle it immediately, though. Third, when I was about to go to bed, I discovered the pillow was dirty. That was absolutely disgusting and, in my opinion, a fundamental issue for any hotel. After this happened, the hotel manager apologized via WeChat, but no further resolution was offered. Since I booked through Trip.com, their customer service was very proactive in addressing the situation.

Guest UserI highly recommend the Atour Hotel Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center Wusi Square! The location is truly unbeatable. It's just a few minutes' walk to the Olympic Sailing Center and Lover's Dam, and it's super convenient to stroll over to Wusi Square to catch the Fushan Bay light show. Getting to all the major attractions is a breeze.
The hotel itself is modern and clean, with tidy rooms and a great wet/dry bathroom separation. The Atour mattress lives up to its reputation for comfort, ensuring a good night's sleep. The front desk staff are warm and polite, making check-in efficient, and they're quick to respond to any needs. Amenities like the Zhuju bookstore, self-service laundry room, and gym are a huge plus, especially for travelers needing to do laundry.
The breakfast offers a rich variety of delicious local dishes. This hotel is perfect for both leisure and business travel. I'll definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Qingdao!

Guest UserI booked this place for the sea view, and the sea view room definitely didn't disappoint. The location is also very convenient; it's close to May Fourth Square, the subway station, and MixC shopping mall. Walking to the Olympic Sailing Center is also fine. The room is spacious and having a washing machine and refrigerator was very convenient. The only downside was a strange smell in the bedroom when the door was closed, but it was fine after airing it out. Breakfast was okay, though there wasn't a huge variety.
