This hotel deserves all the praise! The moment we stepped into the parking lot, we were greeted by that signature scent of a five-star hotel. As soon as we entered, the authentic ******* decor immediately immersed us in a wonderful atmosphere. The front desk staff were incredibly efficient with check-in, and they even upgraded our room for free! While we waited, we sipped on rhodiola tea and enjoyed a welcome dance – it was an amazing experience. The room design was thoughtful, the amenities were high-end, and every little detail exuded quality. This is the first hidden gem of a hotel that has made us fall in love with an entire city just because of our stay there!

Facilities: The room type was very spacious, I booked a two-bed room this time. The cleanliness was acceptable, but the facilities were a bit old, and there was some water leakage. Room service was prompt. Minibar: Good. 24-hour oxygen supply service: This was very important, especially the 24-hour medical room. Due to severe altitude sickness for the first few days, I spent most of my time in the medical room. Only after taking medication and receiving oxygen could I manage to walk around a bit outside. Cleanliness: Acceptable, and the turndown service was also good. Environment: This is arguably the best in Lhasa. After staying one day elsewhere, I spent the remaining days at The St. Regis. During my stay in Lhasa, I mostly dined and engaged in activities at the hotel. The room layout was very well-proportioned, and maintenance was decent. Afternoon tea was just okay, but the Western restaurant had excellent food, and the sweet tea was the best. Service: The butler, Tina, was excellent. Her service was attentive throughout, and I was very satisfied. Next time I visit Lhasa, I definitely won't choose any other hotel. She even proactively checked in on my well-being.

The hotel environment is excellent, and it's very clean and comfortable. I'd definitely have stayed a few more days if I hadn't already booked my flight. The hotel activities are also great. However, I was quite disappointed with the front desk service. We had two rooms in our party, and one of them was upgraded, but we weren't informed. When I called the front desk, the first time they said they were busy with check-ins. The second time I called, they told me the room card was incorrect. A little later, they said it was an upgrade. I'm not sure how credible the front desk's statements are. Then, the next day, when I inquired about the deposit refund, they initially told me the deposit for room 501 had been returned. I told them I paid 1000 for both rooms together, and then they said room 507 hadn't been inspected yet. I'm not sure if the hotel front desk has proper systematic training. I booked for one night, and both explanations from the front desk felt deceptive. I hope the hotel can provide more training for their front desk staff. Although the front desk's actions made me uncomfortable, I'm very satisfied with how the hotel manager handled the situation. He went back and forth several times to resolve it for me and kept apologizing. I would definitely stay at this hotel again when I visit Lhasa next time, but I sincerely hope they can thoroughly and systematically train their front desk staff. After all, it's a high-end hotel, but the front desk's communication style doesn't seem to match that standard.

On the evening of April 30th, after completing the Kora and on my way back, I stayed at the Hilton Shigatse once again. Manager Wangjiu Basang warmly and efficiently handled my check-in. The next morning, I flew from Shigatse Heping Airport to Shenzhen, with a layover in Chengdu. It wasn't until I was unpacking my luggage at home that I realized I had left my phone charger in the hotel room. With a 'nothing to lose' attitude, I contacted Manager Wangjiu Basang. He immediately assured me not to worry and said he would look for it right away. Soon enough, the charger was found, and it has already been returned to me via SF Express. Although it's a small matter, Manager Wangjiu Basang's professional and responsible work attitude is truly commendable!

The hotel offers both diffuse oxygen supply and nasal cannula oxygen in the rooms. The staff are very welcoming and attentive. On the first night, the room temperature wouldn't go down, but after discussing it with the front desk the next day, they promptly moved us to a different room. The butler was also very enthusiastic, showing us to the new room and explaining all the features and how to use them. They were also very responsive whenever we had questions. The hotel is conveniently located, not far from Potala Palace and Jokhang Temple; a 20-minute walk is quite manageable. However, the hotel itself is located down an alley, which made it a bit difficult to find and a tiring walk. Also, the breakfast was just average.

My stay in Lhasa was excellent this time. A special thanks to Xizhu from the front desk for her efficient and kind check-in process. She patiently explained precautions for high altitude and showed genuine care for altitude sickness. Her service was meticulous throughout. Thanks to Dawa Tsering and Tenzin Thongyul from the concierge team for proactively helping with luggage and enthusiastically guiding us with directions. Their service was professional and reliable. The warm service includes an in-house medical room. If guests feel unwell, they can pay for oxygen or an IV drip, which is quite convenient and helps alleviate travel fatigue and altitude sickness.

The hotel was absolutely amazing. I arrived around 8 PM, and they immediately offered me sweet tea and asked me to sit down and rest. The hotel staff had already checked me in. The air conditioning and oxygen generator were already on in the room, and the white fungus porridge on the table was at the perfect temperature. The overall facilities were excellent, the shower gel smelled wonderful, and the room was very clean. The kettle boiled water quickly, and the service was great. The only downside was the TV; it could be upgraded. The breakfast was delicious, especially the rice noodles—I ate two bowls! The chicken sausage was also excellent; many dishes featured beef and chicken, which are suitable for ethnic minorities, which was a big plus. The stir-fried ******* noodles were delicious, and the yogurt was also very good. However, the toppings were just average, and the honey was a little too sweet. But overall, it was fantastic. They first poured me a cup of tea, then I asked for hot milk, and they even prepared hot coffee for me – very thoughtful. The next morning, I had to catch a flight at 7 am, so I asked the hotel if they could prepare breakfast, and they thoughtfully provided bread, water, and milk. The hotel offered a choice between afternoon tea and evening drinks; I chose the drinks because I was busy in the afternoon and didn't go for the afternoon tea, but the drinks were truly amazing and delicious. Just look at the pictures! They gave me a gin and tonic, the orange one was Blood and Sand, the one with cucumber was Moscow Mule, and the red wine was Sangria. That was my order. The Blood and Sand and Sangria were very good (I recommend drinking the Sangria last). I also left an unused oxygen cylinder for you.

I came to Lhasa backpacking alone, initially planning to rough it in a hostel for a few nights. But then a friend practically forced me to try this Hilton, saying 'you'll know once you stay here.' And okay, I admit, I'm completely hooked! The service was incredibly good. They proactively said, 'Let me arrange a comfortable yet affordable room for you,' and even hand-wrote a 'Lhasa guide' – telling me where to find the cheapest sweet tea, which monasteries have free entry, and which bus routes offer the best scenic views. The most touching moment was when I came back drenched from the rain one day. Immediately, someone brought me a bowl of hot herbal tea and a blanket, saying, 'Don't catch a cold, getting sick at high altitude is a hassle.' This kind of genuine care is something you might not even find in a five-star hotel. The value for money was surprisingly good. Honestly, I expected a Hilton to cost at least several hundred, but the price I booked was much lower than I anticipated, even more cost-effective than some private rooms in hostels. The room was clean and spacious, with oxygen supply and a humidifier, ensuring a really sound sleep at night. While breakfast wasn't a lavish buffet, it offered plenty of tsampa, butter tea, and boiled eggs, enough to keep me full until the afternoon, saving me lunch money. There's a bus stop right outside the hotel, and getting to the Potala Palace or Jokhang Temple costs just one yuan, making transportation costs almost negligible. After this stay, I feel like I hit the jackpot. Not just because it was affordable, but because of the unreserved kindness from the ******* people. Next time I visit Tibet, I won't hesitate – I'm definitely staying here again! 🙏🎒

To the west of Tibet, all the way to Ngari, and from Zhongba to Ngari, the average altitude is more than 4,000, which is indeed a bit overwhelming. In comparison, the altitude of Burang County is very good, more than 3,000. For people who have traveled all the way to Tibet to adapt to the high altitude, this altitude can be easily handled, which is considered very low. It’s not too far away from Mount Kailash, and it’s only about an hour’s drive away. Better than living at high altitude. The hotel is newly opened. I heard from the owner that it has been renovated for more than a year. Needless to say, it is safe. The building is home-made and the equipment is safe to use. It will be more convenient to travel after the airport opens. The hotel environment is very quiet and the bedding is comfortable, which is helpful for sleeping and ensures a good rest for the next day's itinerary. Breakfast is a buffet with many varieties. The steamed buns and steamed buns are all handmade. This is really nice, especially in such a remote county where supplies are not abundant in the mainland. You can tell that the hotel is in Put a lot of effort into improving and doing a great job. Needless to say, service. The service at Phuntsok Kangsang Hotel has always been very good. It is not easy to be very humble and enthusiastic in a small place. It is a joy to have friends from far away, which is fully demonstrated in the Pulan store. If I come to Ali again in the future, I will definitely choose here again.

AAnonymous UserThe location of Songtsam is absolutely stunning, truly legendary. It directly occupies the prime viewing spot of Basongcuo Lake. The environment is serene and relaxing; I felt instantly refreshed upon entering. Every corner of the hotel is a picturesque scene. Whether you're in the restaurant, bar, or any public area, you can easily snap some fantastic photos, as the lake and mountain views are seamlessly integrated into every space. ✨ Service Experience Our butler proactively contacted us before arrival, and upon reaching the hotel, we were greeted with a warm highland barley wine welcome ceremony – a truly immersive experience. There's no elevator, so staff frequently deliver items back and forth, but they consistently do so with warmth and efficiency, their attitude is superb. My only minor regret: the underfloor heating in the room wasn't very effective, making the highland nights a bit chilly. I hope they optimize this in the future. Oh, and the room also had a coffee machine and incredibly delicious fruit! 🌿 Scenery & Activities The hotel's viewing platform offers unparalleled vistas, even more breathtaking than the 'Forgotten Corner' mentioned in travel guides – and it's easily accessible with a stroll along the river! If you rely on the viewing platform at the hotel for the 'Forgotten Corner', it truly might feel forgotten. Highly Recommended: • Cycling along Basongcuo Lake: A dozen kilometers of lake views, a truly therapeutic journey. • Cuogao Village: An authentic ******* village where the lake at the entrance is as blue as the ocean. A perfect blend of culture and nature! • Xinzuo Lake Hike: Easy and pleasant, with forests, meadows, rivers, and lakes all along the way – it feels like paradise on earth! Strongly recommend horseback riding here. The horses are very gentle, saving both effort and time! (Bring some chocolate for the horsemen to refuel; they'll happily take a few photos for you!🥳) ⚠️ Not recommended: All-terrain vehicle (ATV) riding. The roads are rough, and the experience is mediocre! 🛍️ Retail Shops The hotel has an Arc'teryx specialty store where you can even rent clothes with points, which is great for photography enthusiasts. The large artisan craft store offers quality products, and the local high-end yak cashmere brand Norlha is worth browsing. Aside from the higher price point, the quality and design are impeccable. There's currently some construction around the hotel, which might slightly delay entry, but it doesn't affect the overall experience at all. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied. This is my top choice in Basongcuo, and I will definitely return! Finally, special thanks again to our butler, Dingzhu. Tashi Delek!

HHuolieniaolierenThe reception, service, welcome sweet tea, snacks, and dinner are all very good. I still need to comment on the breakfast. It has been more than 8 years since I first stayed at the Songtsam Hotel. It is indeed gratifying to see the rise of self-branded hotels, especially in areas with difficult environments. However, if we want to continue to develop, we must not only increase various brand cooperation and cross-border publicity, but also return to the essence and make the service and management seamless. Look at the management and service of old five-star hotels. The key is that middle-level management is very necessary. I won’t elaborate here. For example, breakfast ended at 10:30, and I arrived at the restaurant at 10:20. They had already collected the food and started cleaning? You can compare it with the St. Regis next door. This kind of problem is far from happening in international brands. I hope that self-owned brands will get better and better.

GGuest UserThe InterContinental Lhasa Paradise is, without a doubt, one of the best luxury hotels I've ever stayed in – my entire experience was absolutely perfect! I especially want to commend our butler, Dekyi Nancy. Her service genuinely made me feel at home. She was attentive and professional throughout, offering care and assistance just like family. Whether it was various needs during our stay or small questions about our itinerary, she patiently and meticulously resolved every single one. This level of thoughtful service is something I’ve never experienced in other hotels, and it was incredibly heartwarming. The hotel itself also completely exceeded my expectations. It perfectly blends ******* and European styles; the exterior is grand and magnificent, and it looks particularly stunning at night bathed in light. The lobby is spacious and impressive, exuding an upscale ambiance. The beds in the room were incredibly comfortable, making for a truly peaceful stay. Dekyi Nancy also recommended the hotel's buffet, which was astounding! It's primarily seafood-focused, with premium ingredients like king crab all-you-can-eat. The variety of dishes was extensive, the taste was superb, and it offered excellent value for money. My entire stay was comfortable and enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel, and I want to once again thank Dekyi Nancy for her outstanding service. I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Lhasa!
