MmindyTThis hotel is an absolute hidden gem. From the moment we arrived, we felt so well taken care of. It feels like a Ritz-Carlton but with even warmer, more personal service. The corridors are lined with plush carpets, the materials and finishes are all rich and top-notch, and my child immediately described it as “posh” — I’d add that it’s also very zen, peaceful and quiet. The room is generously sized, quiet and very zen. The hotel is new, modern and “smart”: when you get out of bed in the morning, a soft foot light comes on automatically so you don’t have to scramble for switches. The kids loved pressing buttons to close the curtains, and I liked being able to choose between work lighting and cosy ambience at a single touch. Service here is outstanding. Everyone is fully dedicated, responsible, warm and kind — and very prompt. Nothing is ever too much trouble; everything is handled politely, respectfully and thoughtfully, so you really feel safe and well looked after. The team also has a lovely sense of humour, which adds to the comfort and makes the stay feel relaxed and friendly rather than stiff. On top of that, they even helped me plan safe and cost-effective travel options — such amazing, value-added service. Special thanks to Xiaoyu and Xiaoliu, who were excellent throughout. Xiaoyu especially made the extra effort to be promptly on hand via WeChat, helping with any queries even after hours — it honestly felt like having a friend there with us. The rest of the team were equally attentive and caring, and I noticed everyone would greet the guests, including the cleaners. It is a very well-run hotel: not just following instructions but offering real service from the heart. When we checked out, they even surprised us with bags of lovely snacks, which was such a sweet and thoughtful gesture. Breakfast was wonderful. The spread has everything one could ever need: noodles and omelettes cooked on the spot with a rich meat stew, a choice of porridges (I especially liked the millet), plus Western and kid-friendly options, and many different drinks to choose from. Insider tip: don’t miss the croissant — it has egg custard inside as a filling! The toiletries, like the shampoo and soap, are specially made and feel high quality — another small touch that shows how much care has gone into the details. The location is incredibly convenient. Huge malls and a hypermart are literally at the doorstep, and the MRT/subway is linked directly to the hotel. The nearby malls and eateries are massive and have everything you could possibly want. There’s an outlet mall about 15 minutes away, so shopping is definitely covered. Practical bonuses: major banks are right downstairs, and if you need to change RMB, the exchange rate is very good and the fees are reasonable. There’s even a salon if you feel like getting a new haircut during your stay. Through the connected mall, you can find food of every kind, including Michelin-starred options — including a restaurant that serves crab cooked in liquor and delicious braised radish. Although the hotel is luxurious, modern and packed with smart features, what I treasure most is the dedication, warmth and sincerity of the staff. I’ve stayed at many other hotel chains, but this experience is way beyond anything I’ve had before. This stay has now set a very high bar for other hotels to match. Highly, highly recommended.

HHaipixiaowen🌟 **Incredibly Safe** This area is constantly patrolled and checked by police (I was lucky enough to have my ID checked, and they almost wanted to check my luggage too!). It's Tiananmen Square after all, truly the heart of Beijing! 🌟 **Incredibly Reassuring** For frequent hotel guests like me, a shower with a rain head, a mirror not facing the bed, and a separate wet/dry bathroom are all incredibly important – no need to elaborate on why! 🌟 **Incredibly Immersive** The hotel's design, from the rooms to the furnishings, the incense, tea appreciation, and cloisonné craftsmanship, all perfectly capture the unique culture and atmosphere of the Forbidden City. In the morning, the moment I drew back the curtains after a sip of water, I was absolutely stunned!

GGuest UserOverall, a good hotel when it comes to location, general cleanliness, and soundproofing, but not really friendly towards foreigners. The staff at the front desk really need to improve their service and attitude, they were quite unapproachable and unfriendly. They also didn’t provide clear instructions during check-in. Nothing on how to access amenities for example. Also, when I tried getting the late-night snack, they were just ignoring me on their phones. It’s only when another local guest indicated they should serve me first that they finally took notice. I felt uncomfortable approaching them with questions after my first encounter with them. The only time they suddenly cared was during check-out when they tried to pressure me into leaving a 5 star review on the spot while they watched. It would be better if they just gently remind people to leave a review if they wish to. For breakfast, there were lots of options but they should really label things and clearly indicate dietary restrictions like meat or allergens. It seems like this is not a thing in China but if you are catering towards foreigners, not everyone can just eat anything. Lastly, for anyone who is really sensitive to smoke, I asked for a smoke-free room but could still smell it, especially in the shower. Not sure if the smell is coming through from other rooms, but either way you will catch a whiff.

GGuest UserOur hotel room is really great! It's about a 500-meter walk from Beijing West Railway Station, making it super convenient. The room was very clean, and the mattress was incredibly comfortable. The central air conditioning worked perfectly. There was even a cute little kung fu tea set with loose leaf tea (not those flimsy tea bags!), which was perfect for unwinding after a long journey. When we ran out of the complimentary bottled water, a quick call had the delivery robot bringing more right to our door – so convenient! There's also a thoughtful full-length mirror. The bathroom has a separate wet and dry area, plenty of hot water, and a great hairdryer. All in all, fantastic value for money and a very pleasant stay!

GGuest UserI chose Mingzhu Hotel for my son's early morning flight from Daxing Airport for his overseas studies, mainly because of its affordable price and close proximity to the terminal. I was pleasantly surprised to learn it's actually a China Southern Airlines' own hotel. The facilities, cleanliness, and service all far exceeded my expectations. We were three people staying in a double room, and the hotel even provided an extra set of towels and toiletries. There was a minor incident during our stay, but considering it wasn't a big deal and I felt for the cleaning staff, I didn't report it to the hotel. To my surprise, the hotel staff somehow found out and proactively came to our room to apologize, even offering a set of branded toiletries. This level of service is truly commendable. It was a very pleasant stay, and I've decided that given the opportunity, we will definitely choose this hotel again in the future. Thumbs up to the Mingzhu Hotel staff! 👍

GGuest UserThis stay was truly excellent. The facilities were incredibly comprehensive, and the room itself was fantastic – very warm and spotlessly clean. The environment was great, very quiet, and the service was absolutely on point. The front desk staff were so welcoming and thoughtful, they even gave us little gifts! I really love this hotel and will definitely stay here again next time I'm in town.

RRosJohnstoneA great location right at the top of Quinman Street (not avenue as per the address). Use exit A when coming of the metro. It’s just a few meters away. Also the hotel has another name on the outside. Look out for the door number. The hotel room had everything you needed with good toiletries, water and tea. We had a room with a window which over looked the street. The best part was the free activities at its sister hotel down the road. Here you can do Chinese printing, calligraphy and dress up in traditional dress. This was on every week night from 6-8pm and was free of charge. The bed was really comfortable and there was a good shower in the bathroom. The hotel staff were pleasant and sent information using WeChat. There is a bar next door selling craft ales and a handy supermarket opposite.

2203968****This is my second stay here, and there will definitely be a third, fourth, and many more. I really love this hotel, even though it's a bit out of the way. But there's a fresh market, Daoxiangcun (a famous bakery), a supermarket, and the Dayang Seafood Market nearby. It's fantastic to buy some seafood and cook it yourself with the kitchenette! The hotel rooms are exceptionally spacious, and the heating works great. Everything is spotless, and I really like the simple European style. The staff are very attentive, from breakfast service to housekeeping, everyone is dedicated and professional. Every day when I return, my room is perfectly clean.

BBaluosidaoyueyunThis hotel is located on the east side of Beijing, right by the 3rd Ring Road. So, if you're arriving at Beijing South Station, it's quite a trek (which I experienced). The surrounding area has good amenities; downstairs, there's a noodle shop and a lamb soup restaurant, both with decent food. About 700 meters from the hotel, there are highly-rated Peking duck and hotpot restaurants, and they weren't crowded, so no waiting in line. The rooms are spacious enough for two adults and two children. The breakfast buffet is extensive, but the price is a bit high.

GGuest UserI stayed at the Grand Millennium Beijing for two weeks, and overall, it was decent. The only standout positive was the two housekeeping ladies; they were absolutely amazing. For the last eleven days of my stay, 'Zhao Juanjuan' was my attendant, and she was incredibly thorough and attentive. She folded my clothes neatly every time. She remembered all my habits and room preferences, diligently helping me each day with my requests. She even helped air out cigarette smells, opened and closed windows according to my schedule, dealt with strange odors from the bathroom drain, and scrubbed the bathtub daily. Basically, she was always responsive to my needs, incredibly kind, and always enthusiastic to help. If I ever return to the Grand Millennium Beijing, I'd specifically want to stay on the floor she services. However, the hotel's policy on food delivery was frustrating. They wouldn't allow any deliveries to be left at the concierge, not even non-food items. It was really annoying. They only permit deliveries to be left in outdoor lockers, which means in winter, all your food gets cold. What's more, they have staff dedicated solely to pressing elevator buttons, so why can't they assign someone to bring deliveries up? There are no robots either, which was a real pain. I put up with it because I could see the 'Big Trousers' (CCTV Headquarters) from the lobby downstairs. Also, there was a persistent cigarette smell throughout the room, even in the bathroom. Another issue is that the hotel's decor is quite dated. There was a sewage-like smell from the sink, which made me want to gag while brushing my teeth in the morning. Everything else was fine. If you're looking for a newer hotel at a similar price, you could try the NUO Hotel Beijing or the Jing Guang Centre Hotel. But if you want to stay near the 'Big Trousers,' then the Millennium or Rosewood are your best bets.
