XXinghebuerThe location is superb! Even though it's on the Bund, it's surprisingly quiet and peaceful. The night view from the sixth-floor terrace is absolutely stunning, I'd say it's even more impressive and upscale than the Lujiazui skyline seen from Nanjing Road.
The hotel's overall design is very tasteful, and the welcome fruit wasn't just an afterthought – it was genuinely nice. While the breakfast selection wasn't huge, everything was exquisite.
A special shout-out goes to the cleaning lady. My child had a nosebleed at night, and she not only helped clean it up but thoughtfully brought extra bottles of water. The front desk staff were also very kind, and I'm very grateful.
I'll definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Shanghai ❤️

SShazia Casoojee My second time staying at this hotel and yet another wonderful, comfortable experience! The room was big, bed was super comfortable. It's also equipped with a beautiful bathroom that has a lovely sized bath tub. The front desk staff are incredibly professional and friendly. I paid extra for the breakfast buffet which is well worth it. A nice variety of food, fruits and breads. They also provided free shuttle service to and from the MXGP track which was super helpful and convenient. Really enjoy staying at this hotel and I enjoy the peaceful feeling I get when I visit Fengxian. A cute, quaint little town.

Cynthia was incredibly warm and helpful, assisting us with a speedy check-out and asking about our stay. The baby absolutely adored the pool! The Bund's 'Three-Piece Set' view is absolutely stunning, such a wonderful surprise. The hotel is very quiet. I've already recommended it to several friends, and even my local Shanghai friends are planning to go experience it – it's that amazing. Choosing this high-end hotel when traveling with kids was definitely the right decision.

The room facilities weren't outdated either, feeling quite high-quality. The service was excellent, with staff from the front desk to housekeeping being warm and attentive.
The surrounding area has plenty of businesses, with a rich variety of Chinese and international restaurants and snacks. The hotel entrance is right at People's Square subway station, making it incredibly convenient for getting around.
The only minor regret is that the classic red roses were replaced with pink ones. Personally, I think the red ones were more elegant and timeless.

However, the service quality did not match the standard expected from such a well-appointed hotel. Upon arrival, the front desk staff mistakenly assigned me a children’s room, which required me to return to reception and resolve the issue—a rather inconvenient start to my stay.
While the room I was eventually given was comfortable and spacious, cleanliness left much to be desired. The bathtub, in particular, had two dead flies and a hardened stain on its surface, which was quite disappointing.
I did encounter staff members who demonstrated professionalism—for example, the gentleman managing the breakfast check-in was courteous and efficient. Nonetheless, such instances were the exception rather than the rule.
On one occasion, I decided to book a massage at the hotel spa to relieve some back pain. The treatment, which cost approximately $50, was average and initially unproblematic. Unfortunately, at the end of the session, the masseuse offered me an additional service, the nature of which I will refrain from describing here, but I trust it is not difficult to imagine. I declined immediately. Regardless of the hotel's level of control over this matter, given that the spa operates within the premises, I found this situation deeply inappropriate and upsetting.

I stayed here for two nights with a friend on this trip, and overall, I'd definitely recommend it! I think it's very suitable for female friends traveling together because the room is spacious enough, and there's a large table, which is super convenient whether you're doing your makeup or ordering takeout to eat in the room. My friend said the lights were beautiful and she liked the green.
Secondly, the service was very thoughtful. We didn't bring swimsuits, but when we went to the 41st-floor pool to see the Oriental Pearl Tower, they still let us visit and check it out. The night view was stunning. When we mentioned that some items were missing from the mini-bar, the attendant was very sincere and immediately arranged for housekeeping to bring replacements, also explaining the reason.
