4-Star Hotels in Amsterdam

The room layout is excellent, and the furniture is high-quality. The only drawback is that even with two layers of curtains, light still sees through, and the sofa bed being close to the window might be a bit of a nuisance. Overall, it's great, and it's also welcoming little biscuits.

The hotel's exterior is very stylish, with glass walls, and it's just a few steps from the bay, offering great views. The room is new, but the decor inside feels a bit too simple, not particularly high-end. There was dust on the tables, making it seem like no one had stayed there for a long time. Overall, the room didn't quite match the very high price.

The room was spacious and comfortable, the bed was cozy, and the view was great, ensuring a good night's sleep. The staff were warm and attentive, providing excellent service. The hotel's location is superb, offering convenient transportation, and the breakfast selection was extensive.

The hotel isn't too far from the station, about a 6-minute walk, but be aware that the road narrows if you're carrying luggage. There's a bus stop nearby (though it doesn't seem to go to the city center), and the metro and tram line 19 can take you downtown (convenient for the Van Gogh Museum). However, taking the train one stop to Amsterdam Centraal Station is easier (though it costs 3 Euros per trip). Overall, the hotel is quite good and clean, and the kitchen facilities are decent. We stayed for 7 nights during a heatwave, and thankfully, the room had central air conditioning (but the elevator doesn't). The check-in counter has a five-step design which is very inconvenient when dragging luggage. If you're in an inner room near the counter, it can be a bit noisy due to the metro!

The hotel receptionist was incredibly friendly and kind. We arrived early, before 9 AM, expecting to just store our luggage, but to our surprise, the receptionist informed us that our room was already ready for check-in. The room was very clean and tidy, and the king-size bed was super comfortable. All the amenities were readily available, though the only minor flaw was the low water pressure in the shower. The location is fantastic, very close to the Central Station, making it extremely convenient. There are also plenty of convenience stores, pharmacies, department stores, and restaurants nearby.

I only stayed for one night, but the view from the window was beautiful, and the bathroom, toilet, and guest room were all very clean. The front desk staff were also incredibly kind. I'd love to stay again when I have more time in my schedule! My room this time was on the 16th floor.

We arrived and were told we could check in at 2 PM. We went into town, and when we returned around 3:30 PM, the room still hadn't been cleaned. Luckily, we received two complimentary drinks as compensation. Once in the room, we found the curtain was broken, leaving a gap where light streamed in. The TV by the bathtub wasn't working, and the shower kept fluctuating between hot and cold. We reported these issues in the late afternoon, and someone was supposedly coming to fix them. We went out again and returned after a couple of hours, only to find the curtain still broken. We went back to reception, but the maintenance team had already left. Since we didn't want to be woken up by light, a staff member eventually went to try and fix it themselves, but unfortunately, they couldn't. Despite these unpleasant circumstances, I would still recommend the hotel. It's a nice hotel, but the staff aren't always as efficient as they could be.

This is a pretty standard luxury hotel, with no major issues. There's a mini-fridge, but it's not cold enough and doesn't come stocked with anything. However, the umbrella is a high-end carbon fiber one, which is quite rare and a nice touch. The bathroom drain had a bit of a problem, probably a clog from hair that needs to be cleaned promptly. My biggest issue, though, was the front desk – they were incredibly slow! Especially during check-out. I've never seen a hotel where you have to wait in line one by one; usually, you just leave your room card and go.

The hotel was really nice and clean. The area isn’t touristy, so it’s fairly quiet and nice, but very well reachable by metro: only 13 min subway ride to central station , and the station is a short walk away. Amstel train station is also nearby, which is very convenient. The bed is very comfortable, I loved the towels, which were very soft and fluffy. I found the motion activated light in the bathroom a little annoying, especially since it often went off while I was showering, because no movement could be detected, so I had to open the shower cabine to set the light back on. We did not try breakfast as 23 euro per person seemed a little overpriced. Overall, I found the value good for money. The stay was very comfortable and enjoyable, and I’d definitely recommend the hotel.

We just spent three nights at Chasse Residency Hotel as a family with three children, and we were very pleased with our stay. The hotel was clean and well-maintained, the staff were friendly and helpful, and we felt welcome from arrival to departure. The location was really good with easy access to public transport, making it simple to get around Amsterdam. The room had plenty of space for us, and the small kitchen facilities were a huge advantage when traveling with children. All in all, we had a really great stay and would definitely recommend Chasse Residency Hotel to other families looking for a quiet and comfortable base for a visit to Amsterdam.
