šŸØ Fairfield by Marriott Busan 314 Haeundaehaebyeon-ro, Haeundae-gu, Busan, South Korea, 48099 Stayed two nights in Fairfield by Marriott Busan to be close to Marina City for an event in mid October 2024. šŸ“Location: Fairfield by Marriott Busan is located in a less eventful part of Busan. Not the best pick if you want to be where the action is. I have stayed near the Busan train station and in Nampo previously and enjoyed those parts of Busan more. šŸš• Accessibility: it takes about 15 minutes' walk to the hotel (with luggage on uneven roads) from the drop off point at What The Burger which is where the Haeundae Intercity Bus alighted customers from Incheon Airport. The bus journey takes close to 5.5 hours with two rest stops and a stop at Nopo Terminal. Kakao Taxi fare from Fairfield by Marriott Hotel to Haeundae Intercity Bus Terminal costs about KRW5000-6000. šŸ›ŒšŸ½ Room: No complaints for the price point and what you see is what you get as befitting a Marriott property. There is construction opposite the hotel so paying for the city view on a high floor will avoid that if you are bothered by a construction view. The sea is not nearby so look for another option if that is important. šŸ‘£ Amenities: I did read another review about the paper thin room slippers and wisely packed a pair from home. šŸ² Food Options: I arrived at night and didn't find too many food options in the evening as everything seems to be closed early. There are convenience shops nearby and a Paris Baguette a few blocks away. Hotel breakfast is available at Bistro 314 on Level 2 of the hotel at a discounted rate of 16,500KRW for hotel guests if you book in advance. šŸ‹ļø There is a fitness centre on Basement 1 next to the self service coin laundry. Rating: 3⭐ Stay here if you have business nearby and want to save time travelling but not as a tourist with limited time wanting to explore the best of what Busan has to offer.

Stayed for 2 nights. The hotel was just across the Busan Station 1 and walking distance to most establishments. Though the room including the toilet&bath is small, it is complete with amenities (like Japanese style). Hot and cold showers, bathtub, hair blower, water heater for coffee and tea, slippers, small vault for valuables. They provided toiletries and pajamas (just collect at the lobby area). Note: toothbrush and toothpaste not included. No cabinet but can place your luggage under the bed. Free breakfast. No microwave inside the room but at the lobby area where you can have water, coffee and tea from the vending machine. They have a laundry area too so you cannot bring much clothes. The only downside for me is that, check-in time is at 4pm and check-out at 10am, so better adjust and manage your timing. You can leave your luggage at the reception area if you arrive so early. So far, I had a comfortable, peaceful and relaxing sleep during my stay. Cleanliness was never questionable. I look forward to staying here again.

Honest review: Lobby area is messy and that staff lady is not really helpful. I needed to wait from 7am-1pm, before I know to check in at 1pm, and I only know at 1pm that need to pay extra 30,000kw to check in at 1pm, cause check in timing is 4pm. Toilet door and room door is not clean. Bed, pillow and towels are ok, room is spacious and it’s near to a train station, but still quite far from Busan train station and shopping areas. Only 2 bottles of water for me, although I’ve stayed for 5days. Overall the place is ok, it looks more like apartment than a hotel. I also bought breakfast for my stays, but only ate on day 1, as they Mop the floor when people are taking food and having breakfast and I was holding a miso soup and I fell down. Hence quite a disappointment.

Used for a trip with my mother I booked this hotel for my mother, who loves the sea and night views, and she was very happy with it, so I was right to choose this place 🄹 It's a fishing town, so you can see the boats going out and coming back, and of course the sea, but you can also see the lit-up bridge, so you can enjoy the scenery from morning to night 🌟 Korean hotels do not provide amenities to protect the environment, and this hotel was no different. Shampoo, conditioner, and body soap were providedā—Ž Towels and bath mats were provided, but bath towels were not provided, and when I inquired, they were brought the next morning, but I felt that it was inconvenient that they were not provided unless you requested them. I had a hard time finding the hotel entrance, but the location was good and it was close to BIFF Street ♪

The customer service was friendly, the location was good, and everything was good, but I was really surprised by the doorbell in the bathroom before checking out, and they came at 10:40 to clean, and I came out in a hurry without throwing away the recycling, I'm sorry, so other than that, everything was good~ I was a little worried because the door to the terrace didn't lock, but I think it'll be okay if you check in and fix it^^ It wasn't a high floor, but I liked it~ The kids were a little disappointed because it wasn't a high floor, but the kids liked the room condition too. Of all the places I've traveled to, I think the sofa was the cleanest~ I had a great time~

The hotel is really located very well. The main street has everything and more. Close to subway, buses, subway exit (which is the closest to the hotel) with elevator. The minus of the hotel is the absence of breakfasts, the hotel does not have any arrangements even with nearby restaurants. Reception will not advise anything, in fact there is just for check in and check out. Rooms are large with good bed, a small view of the beach. Windows are opening. Air conditioning works. the corridors carpeted (you won't hear suitcases), soundproofing is good (I have a sensitive sleep). Cleaned well. Shampoo, shower gel and soap is there, but the quality is so so. Just 3 stars hotel.

Outstanding
PPxyyI had a wonderful stay at Ocean to Heaven Hotel & Spa, which is just a short walk from Jagalchi Market, one of Busan's most famous landmarks. The hotel’s location is perfect if you're interested in exploring the bustling fish market and nearby attractions like BIFF Square and Gukje Market. + Proximity to Attractions: It's in a prime location for anyone wanting to immerse themselves in the local culture, especially the seafood scene. Jagalchi Market is right nearby, and you can easily access other spots in the Nampo-dong area. + Ocean Views: Even though it’s close to the market, the hotel offers stunning views of the harbor and the surrounding coastline. The sea-facing rooms are a highlight — waking up to the view of the port was such a relaxing experience. + Modern Spa Facilities: The spa services are one of the key draws for this hotel. After a day of exploring the city, I loved indulging in the wellness treatments, which were perfect for unwinding. The atmosphere inside the hotel feels luxurious and calm, a contrast to the hustle and bustle outside. + Comfortable Rooms: The rooms are spacious and well-appointed with modern dĆ©cor. I found the bed very comfortable, and the bathroom had high-end fixtures, making it a very pleasant stay overall. + Service: The staff were very welcoming and attentive, always ready to assist with directions or recommendations. They made me feel right at home, and the level of service really enhanced the experience. - Price: Like many upscale hotels in the area, the rates can be on the higher side, especially during peak seasons. However, considering the location and quality of the facilities, it felt like good value for money.

Check-in and check-out were seamless, and the free parking service was a great bonus. The staff provided excellent support before and during our stay, ensuring a smooth experience. A special shout-out to Mr. Kim Kyu Sung, who went above and beyond when our rental car had an issue late at night even though it’s out of the scope of the hotel service . His quick response and genuine assistance saved us from a stressful situation, especially as first-time visitors to Busan. His hospitality was truly remarkable and greatly appreciated!! GGuest UserThis room was perfect for me as a solo female traveller. I reach Busan at about 9pm by bus and it was easy to find/get to on my own. Also a 2 minute walk from BIFF Square where you can find street food + it's really easy to get to other tourist attractions (Huinnyeoul, Gamcheon) from here using public transportation. The toilet was clean and the room was spacious. There was also a washing machine and the room provided liquid detergent which was very convenient. The check-in process is fully online and instructions (your room number, room password, directions to the hotel, etc) will be sent to you on the afternoon (~1pm) of the day you're meant to check-in.

EEdwardI recently had the opportunity to stay at Hotel Elephant in Busan, and overall, it was a memorable experience. Located conveniently within the city, the hotel serves as a great base for travelers looking to explore Busan’s vibrant neighborhoods, beaches, and culinary spots. From check-in to check-out, my stay was smooth, and I found the hotel to be a solid mix of comfort, cleanliness, and character. Check-in & First Impressions: Upon arrival, I was greeted by courteous front desk staff who spoke basic English and were very accommodating. The check-in process was fast and efficient, with minimal hassle. The lobby itself was tastefully decorated—nothing extravagant, but definitely welcoming. It had a quirky charm that felt a bit more boutique than your average budget hotel. Room: I stayed in a standard double room, which was surprisingly spacious. The decor was modern and minimalist, with a few unique touches that gave it personality. The bed was large and comfortable, with clean, crisp linens. I appreciated the small details like a well-lit vanity area, USB charging ports, and a mini-fridge. The room also had good soundproofing, which meant I could rest peacefully even though the hotel is near a busy area. The bathroom was spotless, equipped with a full set of toiletries, and had a surprisingly luxurious rainfall shower. Water pressure was excellent, and hot water was consistent throughout my stay. Some rooms also offer jacuzzis or bathtubs, depending on the tier you book, which I thought was a great value. Amenities & Services: While Hotel Elephant isn’t a full-service luxury property, it offers everything you’d need for a comfortable stay. There’s a vending machine area, complimentary bottled water, and in-room amenities like a kettle, coffee, and tea. Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, even during peak hours. The hotel doesn’t have a restaurant or gym, but there are plenty of cafes and convenience stores nearby to make up for it. Housekeeping was thorough and respectful. My room was cleaned daily, and towels and toiletries were replenished without needing to request anything. Location: This is arguably one of the hotel’s strongest points. It’s just a short walk from a nearby subway station, which made commuting to places like Haeundae Beach, Jagalchi Market, and Gwangalli very easy. There are also tons of restaurants, bars, and local shops within walking distance. Whether you’re into street food or want to try Busan’s famous seafood, you’ll find great options nearby. If you’re into nightlife, there’s also plenty happening in the area, but thankfully, the hotel itself remains peaceful at night. Staff & Hospitality: Every staff member I interacted with was polite and eager to help. While not everyone was fluent in English, they made an effort to assist with directions, transportation tips, and even helping me book a cab using local apps. Their hospitality made the stay feel much warmer and more personal than I expected. Overall Impression: Hotel Elephant may not be a five-star hotel, but it delivers more than what you’d expect from its price point. It’s clean, cozy, and well-located—perfect for solo travelers, couples, or even friends on a budget-friendly getaway. If you’re visiting Busan and want a reliable place to stay that offers good value without compromising on comfort, this hotel is a solid pick. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit to Busan.

VVenus3.5/5 Stars - Mixed Experience at Busan Songjeong Sloth ā€We spent three nights at Busan Songjeong Sloth, and our stay was a mix of positives and negatives. Pros: • Stunning sea views, especially during sunrise • Convenient location near shops and eateries • Spacious room with Netflix • Warm flooring, perfect for winter • Early morning surfing views (as early as 6 am) Cons: • Hotel looks tired and needs renovation • Noisy surroundings, disturbing for light sleepers • Frequent, annoying announcements throughout the night • Poor housekeeping: room not cleaned during our 3-night stay (despite request on 2nd day) • Far from main town, requiring Uber rides to attractions The hotel's location by the sea is lovely, but the noise from the surrounding area and constant announcements were frustrating. While the room was spacious and comfortable, the lack of cleaning services was unacceptable. Tips for future guests: • Request a room facing the sea for the best views • Bring earplugs or use white noise apps to combat noise • Plan ahead for transportation to main attractions • Double-check room cleaning schedules Rating Breakdown: • Location: 4/5 • Room Comfort: 4/5 • Cleanliness: 2/5 • Service: 3/5 • Overall Experience: 3.5/5 Would I return? Maybe, but only after renovations and housekeeping improvements. Recommendation: For those prioritizing sea views and proximity to surfing spots, Busan Songjeong Sloth might be suitable. However, light sleepers and those seeking impeccable cleanliness may want to consider alternative options.

Aaehwa0613The Nampo Hound Hotel is a decent 3 star hotel with kind service at a decent price. The bathroom was on the 4 star side, with a nice rain shower and separate bath. The bed was comfortable to me, an American traveler. Being that I visited in winter, and have yet to go to a hotel in Asia where you can change the temperature, I liked the ability to open a window for fresh air and a break from constant heat. The housekeeper was quite nice, and gave me water, as I opted not to have my room cleaned during my three days there. If you are a light sleeper that goes to bed early, I did have a little trouble on my second night, but it was the last night of a holiday weekend. Mnet helped to drown it out. They do have Netflix, Disney+ and something else if you have your login…and can read Korean. There are amazing restaurants and shops, centrally located near BIFF square and Jagalchi market. Convenient to get to Gamcheon via short bus ride. I took both the subway and bus with luggage with no trouble (use Naver maps), other than overpacking. There are elevators for the subway, so that was the method I liked better for going to and from Busan Station. I didn’t eat the breakfast. Toiletries were decent quality, as was the hairdryer. My view of Busan Tower was decent. What I didn’t like: the room a little dusty, but only noticeable due to the sunlight, the slippers (for the bedroom and bathroom) aren’t disposable and there aren’t any USB outlets, which can be difficult depending on your converter situation. Oh! And the sink is quite big, so makeup application or needing to view your skin closely isn’t the easiest. I would recommend to friends.

QQasymWe loved the hotel, as a service, they upgraded the room with the balcony one. The quality is very worth it considering its price. Very clean, neat, comfortable, and location is quite good (near downtown part of the city šŸ™ļø). The view was astonishing to the sea šŸŒŠšŸ˜
