I can’t recommend this hotel enough – it was one of the highlights of our Hokkaido trip!
The free shuttle bus service to and from Sapporo Station (both ways) made everything so convenient. No need to worry about taxis or public transport after a long day – just hop on and relax. Super thoughtful and saved us a lot of hassle.
The decoration is beautifully traditional Japanese style – think elegant tatami rooms, shoji screens, and that authentic ryokan vibe. It felt very calming and immersive right from check-in.
The onsen is absolutely superb! The water quality is excellent, the facilities are clean and well-maintained, and the views (especially the outdoor bath) are stunning – so relaxing after exploring Sapporo or Jozankei area. One of the best onsen experiences I’ve had.
Breakfast buffet was a real treat: fresh Hokkaido ingredients shine through, with amazing seafood (uni, salmon roe, sashimi-grade fish), local veggies, and high-quality dishes. Everything tasted super fresh and delicious – perfect way to start the day.
They even offer free hot wine and sparkling wine service in the evenings – such a nice touch! We really enjoyed sipping while unwinding.
Honestly, I can’t say enough good things. Great value, authentic atmosphere, top-notch onsen, and thoughtful extras. Highly recommended! 🌸♨️

Shin AlterAs with the other reviews here. Their location is everything. The airport limousine bus stops extremely close by this hotel. Just few mins walk to reach. Further, this hotel connects directly underground to Pole Town shopping and the subway (Namboku line), traveling around is extremely convenient; few hotels that are so strategically located as this one! Plenty of food and konbini options (Seicomart right next door) around as well because this hotel is right outside Tanukikoji shopping street. There are also McD and MOS burgers nearby.
Something I don't like is the room they gave me is on the lowest floor, even when I requested a high floor very early on. The walking traffic light chirping sound outside is very loud and I can hear it in the room (thankfully it was off during sleeping time). As for the staff, there is a mix of foreigners (some Nepalese and Thai) and Japanese local, all of which are very helpful.
Although they said housekeeping only every 7 days, but they collected the trash and change towels daily; even made up our bed, i think the only thing they didn't do is change your bedsheets everyday. Twin room is quite spacious for 2 person, we can open up our luggage no problem.
Express check out available just drop your key inside the lift.
Overall I'm very happy and it's a pleasant experience! (except for the loud traffic bird sound)

Guest UserThe hotel was in a good location near subway Toho line exit 21 or opposite street exit 24 with elevator access.
Check in process really simple using the machine with passport scanner and room card issued for each person. Staff greeted us nicely and explained the room cleaning schedule (once every 3 day is must and optional (eco cleaning) for other days.). You can get all amenity from the front desk including pajamas.
Hotel was standard chain hotel with normal size Japanese Room fit enough with 2 people with limited space for luggage repack. Luggage can be stored under bed so no worries about luggage space. There is a lack of a small table for the bed side but we just slightly pull out the mini
fridge as a small table. Bed was hard but we prefer that way.
Free breakfast provided everyday during the stay on lobby from 0630 to 0930. Menu slightly change daily but consistently with rice, bread, yogurt and tea rice. Breakfast drink have hot tea, yogurt drink (Hokkaido milk yogurt drink. Highly recommend) and fruit drink. Coffee machine served from 0600 to 0000 daily.
Vending machine for drink available at lobby but we prefer go to nearby seicomart to buy stuff. Microwave also available on lobby.
Overall I will rate as 7/10 , better than average and best cost per stay if you use city subway alot

Glee_JoyI had a great stay in Koko Hotel. It is near Odori Park and besides the hotel is a 7/11 Convenience Store, and a few meters away are the different konbini: Family Mart and Lawson! I love that it is near Susukino Street as well. If I’ll be back in Sapporo, I would love to stay here again. Thank You!

I originally planned to book Toyoko Inn, but then I saw that this hotel was even cheaper for those two days, so I booked it instead. At just over 400 RMB a night, the value for money was pretty good.
The location is excellent, right next to Odori Park. The closest subway station is Nishi 11-chome, and it's not far from Odori Station either. It's also quite close to Sapporo Station, Susukino, and the Sapporo TV Tower. Sapporo's city center isn't very large, so transportation is quite convenient.
The room itself was on par with an upper-mid-range budget hotel – nothing spectacular, but perfectly decent. It was quiet and comfortable for sleeping.

Anonymous UserI forgot to take pictures of the room, but aside from being a bit small, everything else felt pretty good. The lobby has self-service toiletries, tea bags, coffee, etc., and complimentary drinking water is available in the afternoon, limited to one bottle per person. The breakfast selection is quite extensive for a business hotel, and it tastes great, even offering Sapporo ramen.

I recently stayed at Hotel Mystays Sapporo Susukino and overall had a comfortable and convenient experience that suited my travel style perfectly. The hotel is located in the heart of Susukino, Sapporo’s most vibrant entertainment and dining district, which makes it an excellent base for exploring the city. It is about a five to seven minute walk from Susukino Subway Station, giving easy access to other parts of Sapporo, including Odori Park and Sapporo Station. The surrounding area is filled with restaurants, ramen shops, convenience stores, cafes, and nightlife spots, so finding something to eat at any hour is never a problem. Despite being in a lively neighborhood, the hotel itself feels calm and secure once inside.
The room was compact, as expected for a Japanese city hotel, but it was thoughtfully designed to maximize space. I stayed in a standard room, which had a comfortable bed, a small desk, a flat-screen television, a refrigerator, an electric kettle, and air conditioning. There was enough space to open a medium-sized suitcase, although travelers with very large luggage might find it slightly tight. The bathroom was clean and functional, with a combined bathtub and shower unit, along with basic toiletries provided. Water pressure was good, and hot water was consistent, which was especially appreciated during the colder Hokkaido weather.
Cleanliness throughout the hotel was satisfactory. Housekeeping maintained the room well, and the common areas such as the lobby and hallways were tidy. The staff members were polite and professional, and while not all were fluent in English, communication was smooth and efficient. Check-in and check-out processes were straightforward and quick.
One highlight of the stay was the breakfast buffet, which featured a mix of Japanese and Western options. There were rice dishes, miso soup, grilled fish, salads, bread, eggs, and several local Hokkaido ingredients. It was a convenient way to start the day, especially before heading out for sightseeing.
The hotel also offers practical amenities such as free Wi-Fi, coin-operated laundry machines, vending machines, and luggage storage services. These facilities make it especially suitable for mid-length stays or travelers moving between cities.
Overall, Hotel Mystays Sapporo Susukino delivers solid value for money. While it is not a luxury property, it provides comfort, cleanliness, and a prime location at a reasonable price. I would recommend it to solo travelers, couples, or friends looking for an affordable and well-located hotel in Sapporo.

Anonymous UserThe room this time was the highlight of my trip.
**Ambience:** My impression of this hotel is how incredibly quiet it is. Initially, I thought staying next to the elevator would be noisy, but the soundproofing is excellent – it's really peaceful. There were a lot of Korean and Western tourists, and they were all very considerate; there was no loud chatter. Even with our average sleep quality, being by the elevator didn't bother us at all.
**Cleanliness:** If I had to pick a tiny flaw, it might be that the duvet cover wasn't zipped up, and I noticed the inner duvet looked a bit yellowed. I didn't inspect it closely, though.
**Location:** Extremely convenient. It's only about 50 meters to the subway station. I thought I'd be trekking miles this trip, but it turned out to be just 50 meters, haha! It's quite close to Odori Park and about two stops from Sapporo Station. While it's not right in the absolute city center, overall, it's very convenient.
**Facilities:** There's a small fridge, which was great for sorting out breakfast every day and also perfect for storing some drinks. The facilities feel relatively new and I was quite satisfied.

Guest UserThe hotel was close to both Susukino Station and Hosui-Susukino Station. The lobby was clean, and while the room was a bit small, it wasn't uncomfortable. I saw some mixed reviews about the public bath in Korean, but I didn't use it. What I really loved was that there were so many types of bath salts in the lobby that you could take as many as you wanted, so I got to use a different one in my room's bathtub every day. It was also super convenient to have self-storage available before and after check-in, so I didn't have to ask them to hold my luggage. If the price is as good as it was this time, I'll definitely rebook without hesitation when I visit Sapporo again! ^o^
