HOTEL MYSTAYS Sapporo Susukino

The location is great, with a pleasant surrounding environment and convenient transportation. The room was generally clean, and while the facilities were a bit basic, they were sufficient for our needs. The service attitude was very good, leading to an overall pleasant experience and decent value for money.

I've stayed at Mystays in Tokyo before, so I chose this hotel again for my trip to Sapporo. While the room wasn't huge, it had all the necessary amenities.

The room isn't huge, but there's just enough space by the bathroom door for two suitcases. To fully open them and pack, you'll need to use the bed, which is typical for Japanese hotels, so it's acceptable. It's a bit of a walk to Susukino subway station, a few blocks away, and it's even harder in the snow. I had to go to the Susukino airport bus stop, which is only a few hundred meters away, but with snow and luggage, it would have taken about 40 minutes to walk. I ended up taking a taxi from the hotel entrance, costing less than 100 RMB, and got there in just a few minutes, which was very convenient. Overall, the price was reasonable, around 400+ RMB per night.

The room was a bit small and right across from the elevator lobby, but the service was decent. The location is excellent, right in Susukino, with a Lawson convenience store conveniently located right next to the side entrance. There's also a ramen shop across from Lawson that stays open quite late. However, walking from Susukino Station in heavy snow can feel a bit far. A taxi to JR Station would cost about 600-700 yen.
