3-Star Hotels in Kobe

The hotel's location is excellent, very close to Sannomiya Station and the green Kobe Shimbun building. However, the hotel itself is a bit tucked away. I really struggle with Google Maps' walking directions; the arrows are often erratic, even when I try to 'realign' myself, and it frequently leads me on detours. It took me a while to find it, circling around. A tip for finding the hotel: first, look for Starbucks, then turn in from that intersection, find Yoshinoya, and once you see 7-Eleven, you should basically spot the hotel sign. The room has a standard Japanese layout; it's not large, and my 28-inch suitcase couldn't fully open, but it was perfectly fine for a one-night stay. The front desk staff were all very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. In the lobby on the first floor, there are complimentary skincare samples and other amenities. Breakfast was a bit basic, just a small counter, and you had to queue to get your food. One thing I definitely want to praise is the abundance of power outlets: several by the headboard, on the side panel, and underneath, which made charging devices incredibly convenient.

The room was quite spacious and comfortable for Japan standards, with enough room to open two large suitcases without feeling cramped. It's super convenient to get to: just take exit 12 from the JR station, turn left when you see the hotel sign, and take the elevator up. The only downside was the air conditioning only had three settings, and it was too cold. I ended up sleeping at the foot of the bed because the draft from the head of the bed was too strong.

This hotel pleasantly surprised me. I had initially expected it to be average due to the low price, but I was surprised by the elegant style and excellent service. The location is quiet in the heart of the city, and Kobe is not a big city, making it very convenient for getting around. Overall, I highly recommend it. The breakfast was very rich and delicious.

The location is super convenient, just a 2-minute walk from JR Sannomiya Station East Exit. Hankyu/Hanshin electric trains, city subway, and Port Liner are all within a 5-minute walk. The direct bus stop for Kansai Airport and Itami Airport is right across from the hotel, so you don't have to drag your luggage far after landing. It's a quick 20-minute ride to Osaka Umeda and 40 minutes to Kyoto, making day trips a breeze. The self-service breakfast offers both Japanese and Western options, including Kobe specialty bread, Japanese side dishes, and fresh fruit. Vegetarian and gluten-free meals are also available, offering great value for money. There's a Lawson convenience store right by the entrance on the ground floor and a large supermarket next door, making it super easy to buy water, snacks, simple meals, and even cosmetics morning and night. The room type is comfortable, clean, and well-organized. Compared to other business hotels in similar locations in Japan, the room space is quite generous. Overall, I'm very satisfied and will definitely stay here again.

The location is excellent, just a 10-minute walk from the JR subway station and less than a 5-minute walk from Hanamae Station. It's right across from the City Hall, making it easy to reach the City Hall observation deck for a panoramic view of Kobe. Self-service check-in and check-out were available. I booked different room types for two nights, and the receptionist helped me change them to the same room for consecutive nights, so I didn't have to change rooms or move my luggage – I was so happy! The breakfasts were different each day and very plentiful. There was no queue when I went to eat around 7 am, and they even offered food to take back to my room. Luggage can be stored at the front desk.

The hotel is located right next to the newly opened shopping street, very close to Hankyu Hanshin train station. I saw some reviews mentioning it's a bit far from the subway station. The room, although small, was well-equipped and very good.

I booked this place at the last minute as we wanted to extend our stay in Arima Onsen by one night and most hotels were fully-booked. I searched on *********** but couldn't find any suitable accomodation so thought to try Trip.com. This hotel came up only on this site and I was delighted to find it. At first I was concerned by the lack of reviews, but all the reviews were good and the room looked ideal for a family of four; 2 western beds and 2 tatami beds, with spacious living area and separate bathroom and toilet. It was really great value for money. The size of the room was very generous, and the facilities were great. We made use of the Onsen baths and the table tennis room during our stay. None of the staff spoke english but this wasn't an issue as they were all adept at using google translate. The location is also fine - it is situated between the town and the ropeway, so it is easy walking distance to each, which was very useful since they dont offer any shuttle service. All in all I would reccomend it for a short stay in Arima onsen as it is really good value for money.
