It was our first ryokan experience and it was absolutely stunning. There are a few rooms in ryokan and we were the only guests for that night. The room was very spacious and had tiny cute details. Onsen and kaiseki dinner became absolute favorites. The dinner and breakfast were served in our room that added intimacy to the process. Everything was delicious.
The ryokan team was super friendly and ready to help with all the questions we had. As we were the only guests, we were allowed to use the onsen together as the private one — wow!
It was truly authentic experience — we would definitely recommend to visit this place.

Guest UserWe booked this place on a whim and I couldn't be happier. The service was top notch, located close to transit but the hotel also provides a shuttle service. The breakfast included was delicious and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. The star of the show were the private baths. As foreigners with tattoos we knew we wouldn't be able to use the public baths, and we're amazed by the quality and experience of the private baths that Tsukie no Fune offered. Would happily go back!

The hotel's location is excellent, right on a shopping street. There's a 7-11 to the left downstairs, and plenty of drugstores nearby. It's very close to Shin-Kobe and Sannomiya stations. If you want to go to Kobe Port, it's just over a kilometer's walk. The value for money is superb. Next time I come to Kobe directly from Shanghai, I'll definitely stay here. The front desk service was also great. I traveled alone in Japan, and Kobe was my last stop and also where I found the most satisfying hotel. The room facilities were complete, and overall cleanliness was quite satisfactory.

Guest UserThe double room was quite a bit more expensive than the king room, but it was very spacious and clean inside, truly comfortable 👍 The front desk is on the second floor, and there's a lounge next to it. It seems like they offer free snacks in the afternoon, but we didn't get to try them.
The location isn't far from Sannomiya Station, but it felt like a maze around there 😵💫 Plus, with the skybridge under construction, several directions were blocked, so it took us ages to find our way in and out every time 🙃 And we had to go up and down that complicated skybridge—maybe I'm just bad with directions… It's about a 10-minute walk to the airport bus stop, which isn't super convenient if you're hauling luggage.

Not sure what has happened to Japan standard in the past couple of years but had called the hotel to confirm that linens are scent free (standard in Japan before) and was told yes. Unfortunately they are not, this new laundry detergent that is slowly spreading throughout Japan is absolutely horrible causing all sorts of allergic reactions (not only to me.) I start having rashes, compromised breathing, and inflammation issues. If it’s the same detergent used back in America, then it might be eco-friendly, but definitely not human friendly. I truly hope that Japan goes back to the way it was before the introduction of some western products filled with harmful chemicals to humans. It is not because you don’t react to it that it is not harming your body, it’s only a question of time and when it does, you won’t know why and there is no turning back. Take it from an Asian American born who was the biggest fan of American marketed products. We do have good products like ECOLAB, which is both, sustainable for the environment without compromising human health. Maybe laundry company should look into that company or simply return to Japanese products before. Good thing thing their pyjama are still scent free so I had to wrap the bed and cover with their pyjama to get through the night.

Guest UserThe room facilities were decent, and the front desk service was very warm and welcoming. However, there was a noticeable 'newly renovated' smell in the room. The hotel's location is excellent, very close to the subway station with a shopping street nearby, though I didn't get a chance to explore the area during my stay.

스마 해변과 가까워서 매우 좋은 호텔입니다. 서비스가 아주 좋았고 시설도 매우 만족스럽습다만 호텔의 특성(?)상 가족보다는 커플이 방문하기에 좋습니다.

Guest UserThis is a well-established local hotel that's remarkably well-maintained and spotlessly clean. They offer both Japanese-style and Western-style rooms, both excellent choices. The spacious public bath on the 5th floor is very comfortable; as the hotel wasn't crowded during our stay, we practically had it to ourselves every day. Just under a kilometer behind the hotel, there's a cable car station providing direct access to Mount Rokko, which is incredibly convenient for sightseeing. In the evenings, a delightful summer festival was also held nearby.

Location a bit far from Sannomiya station, it's on a uphill so quite hectic for travelers with large luggage. But there's a Matsuya and a few conbini around, and it's near to Ijinkan, so good overall.
