Guest UserThe second time I came, I came here in October last year and I liked this small courtyard. The entrance is the scenic area of the Erhai Sea. I am here again. This time I am going to stay for a long time. Every morning I get up and see the sunrise in the ecological corridor of the seaside. Super beautiful! I also met new friends, and it was fun to cook and eat together, and it was a worthwhile trip. I went to ride 🚴♀️ with my peers to take pictures. It was too comfortable to go to the windy courtyard to drink coffee and chat. Recently, the room was not nervous. The boss upgraded the room type. You can see the scenery on the bed. The blue sky and white clouds are too healing. This has become our fixed position every time we come to Dali, every year, Dali is so beautiful!

Guest UserWe chose this hotel after seeing photos of the amazing views from its rooms - and we were not disappointed. The hotel is located in a high rise residential apartment complex, and situated in between the east and west banks of Erhai lake. You could see both banks clearly from the balcony, with Cangshan serving as the backdrop.
Service was personal and wonderful too. We had our rooms upgraded for free to a bigger one, and the staff gave many useful recommendations of local restaurants, attractions and bike rental - very very handy for cycling Erhai lake (the bike shop she recommended was professional and provided high quality bikes which enabled us to go halfway around the lake, and could be returned at a different location). She also made us tea personally upon request, and offered to teach us teamaking.
Overall, a very pleasant stay with nothing to complain about. Will recommend this hotel to fellow travellers who are looking to stay in a less touristy part of Dali, away from the ancient town area, with amazing views from the hotel itself.

Guest UserService: The service was absolutely superb! They'd ask for your estimated arrival time and even come out to greet you and help with luggage. Both the staff, the young ladies and gentlemen, were incredibly kind and responsive to any questions. They were also very thoughtful; there was afternoon tea upon check-in, and the breakfast was prepared with great care, offering rice noodles, congee, and even options with dietary fiber and protein. Oh, and there's an adorable little cat at the guesthouse!
Environment: The environment was beyond words! I was immediately stunned by the view from the front desk area where we checked in. The view from the room was also exceptional, with floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows, allowing you to enjoy the scenery right from your bed. The surroundings are very quiet and secluded, making for a truly comfortable stay.
The hygiene was also excellent – very clean and tidy. The bedding was soft and comfortable, and the latex pillow was a lifesaver for my neck issues. The amenities were also quite comprehensive! I usually stay in hotels a lot, but this guesthouse experience was exceptionally nice.

We initially only had 3 days visiting Dali, but rarely does a hotel ever influence me in staying longer in a particular city. Dont get me wrong, Dali is VERY BEAUTIFUL. Its got enough offerings for it to convince me to stay longer. But since this is a review of this hotel, I will keep it that way.
For starters, the staff: there are 3 whom we've had the pleasure of meeting
1.) The front desk/lobby gentleman who is very accommodating and knowledgeable. He made sure we were happy with everything and even offered to give my party of 5 credits for our ”didi” rides, one of China's largest ride share.
2.) The young lady housekeeper/tea/greeter/everything, she will provide you with all the necessities you may require. Disposable towels it works, give it a shot before knocking it, bottled water, soap, laundry detergent, anything. She also has the sweetest personality and although I didn't speak Mandarin all too well, we somehow understood each other. Shes simply amazing.
3.) The owner, she is a person of faith. If she senses anything wrong with you, she wont hesitate to offer medicine and food free of charge to make you feel better.
All of the above 3 staff rescued my mom in law when she felt unwell due to altitude sickness. Oxygen bottles were ready at 18rmb each, they even offered to try it first to see if it works before paying. It just goes to show the lengths they are willing to go to ensure their guests are well taken care of.
Now for the hotel: I might have to copy and paste this review because I actually booked 2 rooms. One for my family and another for my inlaws.
I booked the largest two bedroom with bunk bed and really tall ceilings equipped with a living room, and another was a panoramic view of both Cangshan mountain and Erhai lake on the 3rd floor corner. I forgot what it was called but the place was dreamy and well equipped. Not to mention all rooms were decked out with ZEN like decorations beyond compare.
How can I say this in the best way possible...
The location isnt the closest to the ancient city, meaning you cant walk it, but didi is quite affordable that this did not matter to us. The school bells and songs that play during specific hours are oddly satisfying and did not cause any disturbance. Cars will be cars, especially in China, so wherever you stay, hearing horns here and there is inevitable. But the windows, curtains and walls are great for sound absorption.
Combined with the beauty and serene touches this place had to offer like the koi pond, zen garden, traditional pagoda and courtyard aesthetics, along with the decor of each room that surpassed my expectations, I cancelled a more expensive hotel to stay here with the intent of trying only for a night and moving to another. With the cherry on top being served by the most humble staff, our 3 nights in Dali became 5 nights.
The distance to each attraction was never an issue thanks to the affordability of ride share programs in China. Being slightly away from the busy areas, we were welcomed with peace, quiet, and a community like vibe. We walked the back streets, visited a Buddhist temple about 5 minutes away, and dined at actual local restaurants.
The vacation became an eye opener, especially for a westerner like myself.
My family and I, even though we still have 2 nights left, already look forward to our next trip to Dali. And when that time comes, this place will be where we stay without hesitation.
I cancel a lot of hotel bookings because they rarely match what is shown on the app. You know that feeling. But this place, we were brought here for a reason.
My family loves this place. And to the staff, thank you for welcoming us and making us feel comfortable.
Dali, into the awakening place. What a beautiful and appropriate name for such a place of tranquility and hospitality.

This hotel experience was absolutely fantastic, five stars! It's very close to Erhai Airport and offers a free pick-up service, making transportation super convenient. The hotel boasts stunning views; you can admire the beautiful Erhai Lake right from your room. The service is incredibly attentive, with staff who are warm and thoughtful. The biggest surprise was the dining: the homemade breakfast was prepared with great care, the afternoon tea was exquisite, and they thoughtfully provided complimentary fruit and cake, all of which tasted excellent. Room service was also very prompt, making for a truly comfortable stay. In summary, the environment, service, and dining are all impeccable. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Dali, and I will definitely choose to stay here again next time!

Guest UserTraveling to Dali for its picturesque scenery, I went with three kids on a self-drive trip and chose this terrace twin room – absolutely no regrets! It's conveniently located right at the West Gate entrance of the ancient city, with plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby, making shopping and dining a breeze. It’s perfect for both short trips and relaxing getaways. The room is spacious, with soft and clean bedding. The two large beds are a good size, easily accommodating our family of five with three children. The private terrace is the biggest highlight – you can sit there, enjoy the breeze, and relax. Most importantly, we could air-dry our laundry safely on the private balcony. The in-room facilities are well-maintained, and the soundproofing is good, ensuring an undisturbed rest. The breakfast buffet was plentiful with a wide variety of choices; the kids especially loved all the fried dishes. The front desk service was gentle, friendly, and thoughtful. When checking out, the three children were so reluctant to leave, holding the proprietress's hand until she saw us off to the car, adding a lot of warmth to our Dali trip! Highly recommend this place for families traveling with children!

The hotel offers a fantastic view, especially from the rooftop common area where you can see the beautiful Erhai Lake – perfect for photos. The owner is incredibly thoughtful; they offer a pick-up service, and even reimbursed our taxi fare when we arrived. On the second morning, they brought breakfast directly to our room at 10 AM since we hadn't gotten up yet. We enjoyed breakfast in the room while watching squirrels hopping outside – the environment is truly wonderful. The owner also runs a tea business and even gave us some tea as a souvenir when we left. They truly made us feel at home.

WwwAppleMy stay here was absolutely fantastic. The room largely matched the pictures – it was clean, comfortable, and had a beautiful view. I could even watch the sunrise right from the balcony!
I contacted them via WeChat in advance, and communication was smooth both before and during my stay. We took a taxi to the 'Sunshine Convenience Store,' and a staff member met us there to walk us to the guesthouse, which was just a few minutes away.
Upon check-in, we were offered welcome fruit, breakfast, afternoon tea, and warm milk at night – you could really feel the thoughtfulness in every detail. There's also an adorable cat at the guesthouse that loves corn! The staff provided meticulous and attentive service, and the owner was very helpful in assisting foreign guests with their issues. Both check-in and check-out processes were efficient and convenient. After checking out, they even thoughtfully drove us back to the Sunshine Convenience Store.
Overall, the experience exceeded my expectations. I would definitely choose to stay here again if I have the chance, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Guest UserBy chance, I booked a stay at the Meishan Inn in Dali Ancient City and ended up staying for 4 days. The entire trip was incredibly comfortable and pleasant. The Bai minority-style courtyard is truly charming and unique. The inn manager was attentive and thoughtful, and the facilities were well-equipped. The room was clean and tidy, and the inn's breakfast was absolutely delicious. The courtyard boasts beautiful flowers and scenery, offering a peaceful retreat from the bustling surroundings, yet its excellent location makes getting around very convenient.

Rooms were spacious with expansive views, and the setting was private and tranquil. The courtyard design was exquisite, and the evening lighting was incredibly romantic. Service was incredibly attentive; from check-in to check-out, the staff were always smiling and ready to assist. They even helped us arrange transportation and book tickets. Cleanliness was exceptional; towels and bath towels were replaced daily, and everything was thoroughly sanitized, making our stay completely worry-free and reassuring. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Dali!
