AAnonymous UserThe B&B was super clean and comfortable, the room was spacious, and it felt just like home – so cozy! The owner was also incredibly warm and attentive. They even showed us how to rent an electric scooter to explore the ancient city, which was super convenient. Dali Ancient City is right across the street. We also found lots of local snacks at Sanyue Street. There's even a washing machine available upstairs for laundry. And the best part? We had a view of the snowy mountains from our room. Basically, if you're not planning on going to the eastern route, you don't need to hire a private car; an electric scooter is enough. If you're planning on driving yourself, remember to apply for an international driving permit in advance.

GGuest UserThis guesthouse is located in Dali Old Town, offering a peaceful retreat despite being close to all the action. It's also super convenient for getting to other attractions by taxi. The owner seems to be a local, and since it was my parents' first time in Dali, they gave us tons of really helpful travel tips. My parents and I felt very comfortable and at ease staying here. I highly recommend it to everyone!

GGuest UserI had an absolutely incredible stay here, it was easily the best hotel experience I've ever had. From the moment we arrived, we received such a warm and genuine welcome from the host and his family, making us feel right at home immediately. Our bedroom was impressively spacious and kept perfectly clean throughout our visit. The highlight, however, was the spectacular view; waking up to a panoramic vista of both the city and the lake was truly unforgettable. What really set this place apart was the exceptional hospitality. The host took care of us from the beginning until the very end of our stay, going above and beyond by even personally taking us to the bus stop when it was time to leave. GGuest UserTaking my family for a Mother's Day getaway for two days was absolutely the right choice! The butler service was exceptional and incredibly enthusiastic. When we accidentally took the wrong taxi, they immediately came to pick us up in their little tricycle, and helped us with our luggage as soon as we got out, which was really heartwarming. The guesthouse made a great first impression too – it was clean, the environment was beautiful with all the flowers and plants, and Erhai Lake was right in front of the door. We had a very comfortable stay for three days and two nights. The butler was incredibly responsive and helpful with all our requests. A huge thank you! We'll definitely choose 'Spirited Away' again next time.

GGuest UserI booked two nights next to the ancient city of Dali. After staying there for one night, my kids said it was not fun just to walk around. I canceled the reservation at midnight and booked a hotel at Time Inn next to the ancient city. After arriving, I felt that both kids were very satisfied. The courtyard is very beautiful and warm, and the boss sister is very enthusiastic (their family came here from their hometown in Chongqing to play here before, but they couldn't take care of it and so they ended up living here permanently). We originally only booked it for one night, but the kids didn't have enough fun and stayed here for two days in a row. ! The eldest brother likes to eat the dinner cooked by the boss very much, it is delicious! (He had a bit of a problem with his mouth, but he said it tasted delicious. It must be better than what I made😋) About 100 meters away is Erhai Lake. We went cycling as soon as we arrived. I accidentally broke my knee, and the boss bought me iodine and povidone. He took anti-inflammatory ***** and enthusiastically took my two children to play on the beach. I was very touched! On the third day today, after having dinner with my sister's family, we rode the boss's tricycle to go for a walk on the Erhai Lake. Bashi's board! In the future, when we come to Erhai Lake, we will still book at my sister’s house. It’s very comfortable! (The tricycle is owned by the owner, so you don’t need to pay for it.) All kinds of travel ladies will arrange a comfortable one for us. We must give it a big thumbs up 👍

RRubyT.nzsgI booked this place after reading the reviews about the above and beyond service, and the connection that guests were able to make with the owner of the accommodation. When there are hundreds of hotels to choose from, I value getting to know the humans behind a business. Unfortunately during my stay the main owner whom the reviews refer to, was away. The staff that was in place was helpful, but I felt gave me the one simplest solution to any question I had, rather than the best possible solution, or even options, for what I needed help with. I probably had an anomaly of an experience. The room was spacious and fairly clean. There was a bathroom window in the room that had no blinds or curtains, and the courtyard lights would stream into the room past 10pm, which meant that the room was not completely dark. I included a photo - the light is a lot more obvious and pervasive in a dark room. I had to sleep with an eye mask on, which thankfully, I had. I would suggest to the owners to put a curtain or some blinds up in the bathroom window. I would still recommend this hotel for its quiet location and proximity to the ancient city (8-10yuan Didi ride). Hopefully you'll have the lady boss around during your stay.

--atahuolan-Had a wonderful week in Dali. The hostel had such a great vibe, and the courtyard was so cozy. There were so many adorable cats – I absolutely loved them! Now I have to head back, and I'm so reluctant to leave. I've practically been crying all day 😭. I also made some friends and created so many wonderful memories... Wandering around Dali with my roommates, and even celebrated a birthday with a foreign friend I met. Saying goodbye was also very emotional 😢. Until we meet again, my friends! I hope we can all live our lives the way we truly love. I'll definitely be back.

GGuest UserIt was a very pleasant stay! Research from beginning of 2025 until recently on jan 2026 we finally stayed in the inn. The staff very helpful and assisting us with our heavy bag until level 2&3. The location of this inn was strategic as the old town is within 15-20minute walking distance and as it was cold its kind of hard but better. The only time we book didi is only to go to erhai lake. Love the ambiance this inn provide. Just a heads up to others, this inn located next to a busy road, if your didi drop you at sidewalk better to do it fast as it will make other car behind wait. Overall, very satisfied and will probably book again if going to yunnan again

MM2cfmi0xv****The room was absolutely gorgeous! I booked a high-floor ocean view room with unobstructed views. The room was very comfortable. I booked this place because I needed to catch the high-speed train. It's less than 2 kilometers from the train station, so taxis are very convenient. There are also many places to eat; a food street is just 400 meters away with a wide variety of choices. The receptionist was incredibly welcoming and gave us complimentary welcome snacks and Dali-style flower cakes. The breakfast rice noodles were also excellent and tasted delicious. There's a viewing platform upstairs with stunning views. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and I would definitely stay here again next time.
