YayayouwanjiWe visited the newly opened International Art Museum in Guangming this time, and the Grand Mercure Hotel Guangming that we booked exceeded our expectations! The hotel is brand new and very clean.
The location is absolutely unbeatable. It's just a two to three-minute walk from Fenghuangcheng Station on Metro Line 6/13. Plus, it's directly connected to two large shopping malls downstairs – Wanda Plaza and Blue Whale World – making dining incredibly convenient.
We originally wanted to book the Forest Treehouse Family Room but it was fully booked. However, our child absolutely loved the Penguin Igloo Family Room we ended up getting. The room has a cute Antarctic igloo theme with penguin elements covering the walls. It comes with a dedicated children's bed and igloo play area, a complete set of kids' toiletries, a mini toilet step stool, and children's bathrobes and slippers – the details are incredibly thoughtful. The space is spacious with fantastic natural light, and the floor-to-ceiling windows offer expansive views. The bathroom, with its separate wet and dry areas, is huge and includes a large bathtub. They even provided complimentary mini-bar drinks, which was a very nice touch!
Check-in was also very quick, and they were responsive to our needs. We'll definitely be staying here again on our next visit to Guangming!

Extremely satisfied with this trip! My Shenzhen journey ended perfectly, thanks to such professional hotel management and service. Although it's a relatively new hotel, the service is already incredibly thoughtful and polished. From check-in at the front desk to breakfast and even the bar on the 51st floor, there was never any chaos, even during peak hours. Every staff member I encountered greeted me with a smile and provided meticulous and attentive service.
The St. Regis's signature butler service, provided by Hokie, Lula, and Rosa, made me feel pampered at all times. No matter which staff member I approached, they were always quick to assist with my needs. I would happily return to Shenzhen just to stay at this hotel again.

This hotel has become my go-to place; it's always my top choice whenever I'm on a business trip or vacation! Jennifer is always warm and friendly, and she consistently remembers my preferences, which is a truly thoughtful touch. The rooms are clean and tidy, the bedding is soft and ensures a good night's sleep, and the public areas are spotless. The facilities are comprehensive, and the location is convenient, offering excellent value for money. Every stay feels like coming home, and I'll keep coming back. Highly recommended for frequent travelers!

This place felt like the perfect escape! It only took an hour or two to drive here from Nanshan, Shenzhen, and it's like a resort paradise without even needing to fly. The chapel is incredibly photogenic, with a grand, almost Egyptian pyramid-like feel. The beach, though not huge, was fantastic and offered a real sense of private seclusion. When we were tired from playing, we just walked up to the Western or Chinese restaurants on the beach to eat. The best part? It was incredibly affordable! A freshly squeezed juice was only a few yuan – seriously, it would cost more to buy the fruit and make it at home! Both the Western and Chinese restaurants had really delicious food too, so the value for money was exceptional. Our stay also included a two-person yacht trip and a sound bowl healing session, which made the room rate feel incredibly reasonable – such a great deal. There were a few stairs, but honestly, isn't that part of the island getaway vibe? Many great resort hotels in Southeast Asia don't have elevators either, unless they're business hotels. All in all, I'm very satisfied and will definitely be coming back again and again!

The hotel's location is excellent, right next to UpperHills and Bijia Mountain Park. The room size is decent, and the floor-to-ceiling windows offer great views. Breakfast variety is acceptable, with most essentials covered. Overall, the hotel service is quite good, but the breakfast restaurant service is very average. The biggest rip-off, though, is the hotel's spa. It's overpriced and the massage technique is terrible. I'd say it's the worst spa experience I've had at a five-star hotel! I felt like I was completely ripped off! A total waste of time, I hope everyone avoids it.

Guest UserThis was my first stay at the Shenzhen Marriott Hotel, and honestly, it was a mixed bag – some good, some not so good. The staff at the front desk and in the restaurant were excellent, very friendly and helpful. However, the staff at the entrance and the bellhops were quite disappointing. They weren't proactive in assisting guests, and for a hotel, the first impression often comes from the entrance staff. This really detracted from my overall experience. The front desk staff were polite and said everything was fine, but the baggage handlers were truly awful. On the positive side, the dim sum at the restaurant was exceptional. So, if I ever consider staying here again, I'll definitely have to think long and hard about it. I honestly don't understand how a five-star hotel can have such a stark difference in service quality. For a first-time guest at the Marriott Shenzhen, it was certainly a memorable experience, but not entirely for the right reasons.

Guest UserHad a fantastic staycation! I didn't even leave the hotel once, completely immersed in the pink bubbly atmosphere. 🥰🥰 The elegant and grand rooms and lounge had an unbeatable, noble, and refined ambiance. My only slight disappointment was that the lounge quality seemed to have dipped a bit; they no longer had the chocolate buffet or latte art. However, I must commend the lounge staff for their proactive response when I raised the issue 👍. The freshly made ramen and rice rolls at breakfast were absolutely amazing!

Guest UserThis city hotel, with its views of the Shenzhen skyline from every angle, is my top pick for city views. The location, hotel amenities, surrounding facilities, and guest services are all exceptional.
Many online reviews mention that the hotel is a bit old and the facilities are dated, but after staying there, I disagree. When the hotel first opened, it was very well-equipped, from the bathrooms to the decor, and even had iPads, which are usually only found at The Peninsula, making it quite convenient. If you're concerned about outdated hardware, you can opt for a suite or higher-category room, as it seems these have all been updated.
I have two particularly strong impressions:
1) Due to a minor operational error by the hotel, I contacted the platform, and they connected me with the duty manager. The duty manager on the day of my check-in was very friendly, highly professional, and also quite personable and sincere. This was one of the best duty managers I've encountered at a St. Regis property.
2) When checking out, I left my luggage in the room, intending to have the concierge store it. However, after exchanging currency, I found it inconvenient to carry the cash and wanted to retrieve my wallet from my bag. The two concierges on the 1st floor responded quickly and were very professional.
3) When leaving the hotel and hailing a taxi, the driver didn't stop right at the entrance. The concierge helped find the car and opened the door for me. Highly commendable!
Finally, a big thank you to:
Duty Manager (DEPP YANG)
Concierge (SUNNY QIN, GAMELLIA GUO)

kawachenThis was my first stay at the Marriott, and I was really impressed. The hotel is just a short walk across a small road to the Bay Glory Ferris Wheel and a seaside park. Even though we were in the annex building, it wasn't an issue at all. The hotel was very clean, and parking was super convenient and free. What really stood out were the afternoon tea and breakfast – both incredibly generous and delicious. The executive lounge also had a great selection of beverages. And of course, from the lobby to the lounge to the breakfast area, every single staff member was incredibly polite and welcoming. Definitely a big thumbs up!
