The Westin Shenzhen Nanshan

This is a long-standing five-star hotel that I always choose when I visit Shenzhen. The facilities are very well-maintained. They have a swimming pool with plenty of water activities, which my kids absolutely loved. I felt that the breakfast had improved this time, it was really good! However, it gets very crowded on holidays, so it's best to go early. Our butler, Alison, proactively checked in with us after we arrived to see if we needed anything, which was a very thoughtful touch.

Extremely disappointing hotel stay. The hotel feels very dated, like it's from 2016. The main issue is the poor soundproofing. The toiletries were also incomplete; there were no cotton swabs or razors provided, and I had to request them from room service. The hotel breakfast was also very mediocre. They provided breakfast on the first day, but surprisingly not on my second day of extended stay, even though the price was 200 more expensive than the first day. They also charged over 300 for breakfast. The lighting in both the lobby common areas and the rooms was quite dim. I usually stay at the Indigo across the street, and I tried this one out this time, but I was thoroughly disappointed.

The hotel is conveniently located right above a subway station. The rooms are well-equipped, and the express service by Lacey from Zhongxin was warm and patient. Highly recommended!

An established five-star hotel. While the facilities are a bit dated, they are well-maintained. The service process is standardized but lacks any 'wow' factor. The location is excellent, and the overall experience is decent, meeting the needs for business travel.

The hotel's location is excellent, right on the second floor of Holiday Plaza next to Window of the World Metro Station. It's super convenient to get here from the airport. It's a well-established five-star hotel with an accompanying swimming pool, and the breakfast is quite varied!

Great location, right across from Window of the World, with a view of the Eiffel Tower 🗼. It's seamlessly connected to Holiday Plaza, has a subway station nearby, and plenty of dining options. There's even a Pop Mart and an Apple Store.

The hotel is right opposite Window of the World and above Holiday Plaza. Downstairs, connected to the subway, there are all sorts of snacks available, which is really convenient. Our room was directly facing Window of the World, making it very easy to watch the light show. It's a shame there was no fireworks display that night. I'll definitely be back again.

My kid's on vacation, so I thought I'd give them a change of scenery for their homework, and I get a change of pace too! I debated booking this hotel for ages. It felt like it had been around forever, and I was worried the facilities and hardware might be outdated. In the end, poverty won out, and I booked it anyway (sorry, sorry, sorry, hahaha, saying it three times so no hard feelings!). I booked a Westin Suite, and the room was huge with a really smart layout. Plus, with the heavy rain in Shenzhen lately, wow! The vibe was absolutely incredible! This room has a dining table, a workspace, and a seating area – the separate zones are so well-designed, seriously! And two bathrooms! Next time, I might book two rooms, it felt like there might be a connecting door next to us. The view, honestly, was amazing. The lights at Window of the World at night were pretty good too! The bed and pillows were just right, very comfortable. I'd definitely come back again. Another super convenient thing is that the hotel connects directly to the mall, as shown in picture 10. For a rainy day, this hotel is an absolute lifesaver!
