Decided to treat myself to a relaxing weekend getaway and headed to Jiaoweichang to enjoy the sea views 🌊. Waking up to a full panoramic view of the ocean right from my bed was incredibly soothing and therapeutic. 🏠 I chose this beachfront villa, located right on the first row of Jiaoweichang. It offered unobstructed sea views, meaning I could watch the ocean and sunrise 🌊 without even leaving my room. Perfect for a lazy summer escape! It's also super convenient, with the beach right outside and plenty of dining options nearby. 🛋️ The suite itself was very spacious, featuring two floor-to-ceiling windows. From one window, I could enjoy the sea view directly from my bed, and there's also a private hot spring tub 🛁 where I could soak while gazing at the ocean – truly delightful. The other window overlooked a beautiful view of the mountains and city, with a tatami area perfect for enjoying tea 🖼️, which offered a unique charm. The room facilities and cleanliness were top-notch. They even provided a coffee bar, snacks, drinks, and a sleep kit with a steam eye mask, making for a very comfortable stay. Every spot here is picture-perfect 🖼️, from the 'Sky Mirror' to the private ocean-view hot spring and the swimming pool... every corner feels designed for photography, and any shot you take turns out amazing. It's ideal for family trips, couples, or solo travelers looking to unwind. Plus, the guesthouse offers a travel photography service, so even if you're traveling alone, you don't have to worry about getting great photos. 1. **Value for Money**: For a Futian location, the room rate is genuinely affordable, significantly cheaper than hotels of a similar standard. 2. **Location**: Right in the heart of Huaqiangbei, just a few steps from the subway entrance, making it convenient to go anywhere. 3. **Hygiene**: Bedding was clean and odorless, and even the hidden corners of the bathroom were sparkling clean. 4. **Bedding**: Two pillow options, one high and one low, and the mattress was just the right firmness – I fell asleep instantly. 5. **Hot Water**: Water pressure was excellent, and hot water came out instantly, making for a wonderfully refreshing shower. 6. **Soundproofing**: Close the windows, and the bustling city transforms into a peaceful haven; I slept soundly all night. 7. **Service**: The front desk staff were efficient and responsive to all requests; check-in and check-out were both super fast. 8. **Facilities**: Has everything you need, practical and sufficient, without any unnecessary expenses. 9. **Surroundings**: Plenty of convenience stores downstairs, and endless fast food and snack options. 10. **Overall**: Save money and enjoy a comfortable stay. I originally booked a regular business suite but was upgraded to a large business suite on the 28th floor, which looked to be about 100 square meters. The business suite I booked the day before came with five meals for two at the executive lounge on the 26th floor. Since there were three of us, Manager Mandy called a day in advance and even arranged an extra meal for my child. The best part of this stay was definitely the service at the executive lounge. Seriously, five meals a day, and each one was different. In the evening, there was authentic Spanish ham, smoked salmon, and aged pork neck. The sommelier mixed two whiskies for us, and the accompanying wines were abundant, featuring well-known red and white brands. After dinner, when we returned to our room, Manager Mandy was very warm and attentive. During lunch, I mentioned that my child was allergic to eggs, and they specially prepared a portion of plain white rice for my child. For dinner and the next day, they remembered and prepared white rice for my child. It's the little details that make all the difference; I was truly touched by the service staff at the executive lounge. After our meal, Manager Mandy even gave my child a Ritz-Carlton lion plushie, which my child absolutely loved. The dining environment was private and quieter than the restaurant on the second floor, with excellent views overlooking the entire CBD. Breakfast was incredibly rich. Lunch was very substantial. Although there weren't many meat dishes, the three meat options – curry shrimp balls, pan-fried sea bass, and stir-fried beef – were all authentic and delicious. It was definitely enough to fill us up (I probably gained back all the weight I lost during my week in Hong Kong!). I didn't take many photos, but they wouldn't do justice to the wonderful memories I have of the hotel. I will definitely choose The Ritz-Carlton Shenzhen again next time I visit.

The hotel environment is clean and elegant, with a very comfortable overall atmosphere. The room facilities are complete and new, the bedding is comfortable, and the bathroom configuration is very comprehensive. All public areas are very tidy, and the breakfast is abundant, a self-service breakfast combining Chinese and Western styles. There's also free late-night supper with a wide variety, including sweet soups. The stay experience was excellent, and Evelyn's service was satisfying. I will choose this place again for my next trip.

The need for a short break away, could not have come better than a few days in Dameisha, east of Shenzhen. From door to door, metro, train and metro, the travvel time was an easy 4 hours, arriving just 400 meters from the hotel, which unfortunately, due to some street work, was hidden behind work bollards. However, when accessed, the check was quick and easy, the room was close to the lift and the room, small, two beds, a small balcony, gave a pleasant view of the main town, with the hillside covering the background. The room provided a remote controlled environment, curtains, lights, AC and so on, and the mini bar was free too. Supplies and ammunities were provided and the shower was equal to the natural condition of your personal needs. At the end of the day, the time spent there was fun and enjoybale, with good multinational breaskfasts, and a quiet atmosphere, surrounded by bridges, that led to outlet shops and stores, the beach not 5 minutes walk, with beautiful views to supply a meditational feeling, and a good coastal man made walking path, provided greater photographic opportunities. The hotel and the surroundings, were great for the personal relaxing ease, with a beautifully clean, bright shiny sandy beach and eassy chance to swim and play, with children activities provided close by and a subway, accessible to both hotels one side and the beach the other. Recommended environmentally restful place to go.

We went to MGM SZ for weekend getaway, with my wifey and daughter to celebrate wedding anniversary. Right when we arrived at MGM Shenzhen, our experience was amazing!!! The checkin went very smooth and we were given an upgrade of our suite on 9/F with 270 degrees panoramic view of the sea! The room was a majestically large, with a huge balcony for us to do yoga the next morning. The interior design was nature themed and felt so relaxing. The circular tub was huge! and had a clear view out to the sky past the balcony. The hotel staff went out of their way to celebrate our anniversary by giving cake, chocolates in our room, decorating our dining table with rose petals and a flower when we went to FIAMMA, and free family photo session! The staff service, food quality and presentation of the dishes was top notch black pearl level! There was so much to do at the hotel and at the huge beach right out front. The hotel outdoor environment is definitely very unique w a beautiful unobstructed view of the sea and a 2km long beach that managed veryvwell! Lots to play there including water sports, swimming in sea and eateries.! Not least is the outdoor swimming pool, kids play facilities in hotel! I also booked a space on 3F of hotel podium to hold a celebration event with a flower backdrop installation for my wife. Karen Chen and Lisa 宝儿, of sales/events planning department, did a super splendid work, professional and accommodating in facilitating the process and ensuring our stay and celebration was excellent! Lisa was very on top of the event and answered all my queries instantly, and coordinated with the vendor to set up. Still lots great things to say, but getting to long, so in sum we will be definitely going back to MGM SZ, with friends an family, and to enjoy the many attactions and facilities that we havent done yet!!!

My stay here was fantastic! The hotel's location is super convenient for getting around. The room was clean and tidy, and the bedding was really comfortable, so I slept great. The front desk staff were incredibly warm and helpful, and check-in and check-out were very efficient. Housekeeping did a thorough job, and the facilities are well-maintained and comprehensive. The overall environment is quiet, and it offers great value for money. I had a very pleasant stay. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in town, and I highly recommend it to everyone.

Mandarin Oriental Shenzhen truly lives up to its reputation as a service supreme hotel. Not only is it the highest Mandarin Oriental in Shenzhen, but the service throughout my stay was impeccable. I was thrilled to find out on this business trip that I was staying at the same hotel as my idol, Mr. Andy Lau! Enjoying breakfast on the soaring 78th floor felt like being in a fairyland. The hotel staff were incredibly accommodating, and the turndown service was as thoughtful as ever. Room service was very responsive. The welcome fruit was fresh and seasonal, and knowing my child enjoyed it, they sent another portion early the next morning. The family-friendly setup was warm and appropriate, and the kids' activities were a lot of fun. Finally, the checkout staff were very polite, escorted me all the way downstairs, and had a record of all my previous requests. I'm sorry I didn't catch their name, but I want to give them a big thumbs up here! It truly is my favorite hotel. While there are many luxury hotels, I particularly adore this one with its oriental charm. Mandarin Oriental will always be my first choice from now on! My only regret this time was that due to limited availability, I couldn't get an upgrade, and also, the welcome music was no longer ”Kangding Love Song.”

Finally checked into the highly anticipated Orange Sea B&B! We originally booked the 'Yulin' room, but after seeing it in person, we felt it was a bit too small. The hotel staff quickly and graciously upgraded us to a larger room for free. The natural light was excellent, and the room was meticulously clean. Lying on the balcony's lounge chair, you can gaze out at the sea, which was incredibly relaxing. The butler service was exceptionally warm and attentive; our entire stay was comfortable, and any requests were promptly addressed with great attention to detail. The beach is within walking distance. Since we stayed in building 40, it felt a little circuitous if you're not familiar with the layout. However, sitting by the sea, enjoying the breeze, and watching the sunset, shedding the city's fatigue, was also very pleasant. The 'Fisherman's Lights' restaurant was quite good; you can enjoy delicious food while admiring the sea view. The weather this summer has been unpredictable, so be sure to check the forecast before heading out, or your experience might not be as good as expected. Wishing everyone a pleasant journey!

Pros: -The management team was polite, helpful, and always greeted us. -We were eventually moved to a higher floor where the cigarette smell was less intense. Cons: -Severe Smoke Odor: This was the worst part of our stay, especially since we were traveling with a toddler. The rooms smelled heavily of cigarette smoke, which blew directly out of the air conditioning unit. Smoke was a constant issue throughout the hotel: guests smoked in the hallways, near the elevators (where an ashtray is placed right next to a ”no smoking” sign), and even a guest lit up right in front of the reception desk while getting into the elevator, without staff saying a word -Poor Room Cleanliness: The housekeeping was very sloppy. The floors and nightstands were extremely dusty. Coffee and tea cups were not properly washed, but merely rinsed out and left in the sink twice. Furthermore, we had to ask twice ourselves for toilet paper and facial tissues. When guests are practically forced to clean things themselves, you would expect cleaning supplies to be provided, but there was no soap or sponge available. -Hygiene Issues at Breakfast: There were many fruit flies around the food. When we reported this twice, staff simply waved the flies away from the food and let guests continue eating from the buffet. Coincidentally, a hygiene inspection took place shortly after, resulting in no breakfast buffet the next day. The fruit fly problem persisted for another two days. -Poor Service: Staff cleared plates away while we were still eating. Additionally, most staff members failed to greet guests back. -Unhelpful Room Change Process: When we complained about the smoke in our first room, we were offered a cancellation or another room—which also smelled like smoke when the AC was turned on. Staff claimed they ”couldn't smell it.” Only after stating we would check out and find another hotel did they finally offer us a room on a higher floor. -Undeclared Pool Restrictions: We discovered upon arrival that children are only allowed in the swimming pool from the age of 5, and swim caps are mandatory. This crucial information was not mentioned anywhere during the booking process, which was very disappointing for our toddler. Conclusion: We cannot recommend this hotel, particularly for families with young children. Between the persistent cigarette smoke throughout the building, sloppy room cleaning, hygiene concerns at breakfast, and lack of enforcement of hotel rules, our stay was very stressful.
