Scenic Hotels in Madrid

"The hotel is conveniently located, with a train station within easy walking distance within 10 mins, making it very accessible for travel. The reception staff provided good service and were helpful throughout the stay. The air conditioning worked well and kept the room comfortably cool, and the shower had a reliable supply of hot water. However, the room itself felt a bit small, and the television was positioned very close to the bathroom area, which made the layout slightly awkward and easy to bump into if not careful."

"The location is superb, right next to Plaza de España, and you can spot the hotel as soon as you exit the subway station. It's just a few minutes' walk to the Temple of Debod and the Royal Palace of Madrid, and about a 15-minute walk to Plaza Mayor. The hotel's Sky bar offers great views, but it gets very crowded. You can't reserve tables; you have to queue like tourists who buy tickets to enter (though you can go anytime just to enjoy the view and take photos). The glass-bottom bridge is a popular spot for Instagram-worthy photos, and it's most beautiful around dusk. The rooms are decent, more on the upscale side than luxurious. The outdoor pool on the 21st floor is fantastic, but its opening hours are quite short (10 AM to 7 PM). Breakfast is varied and tasty. Overall, highly recommended. The only downside was that the Euro exchange rate was high when I booked, and I later realized the real-time price was actually several hundred cheaper when I arrived at the hotel."

"The industrial-style decor was as basic as it gets, which was fine since I only needed to sleep for five hours before catching my flight. There was no view from the window, it was completely blocked. It's a convenient ten-minute drive to the airport, and there's also a shuttle bus available."

"Took the metro from the airport and arrive at Oprera station directly outside the front of the hotel. Checked in no with no issues. Room was a very good standard and clean, location of the hotel was very central easy access to all city land marks. Staff friendly the hotel has a Michelin star restaurant, food was amazing. A very pleasant 2 night 3 day staycation."

"This hotel has a lot of character, though the winding hallways felt a bit like a maze. We also had to get our key cards reprogrammed three times at the front desk before both room keys worked. But aside from that, everything else was great! The hallways are clean and modern, and there are three elevators, so you don't have to navigate the 'maze' much (except for walking to the very end for breakfast). The location is excellent; it's just a few steps to Puerta del Sol, making it easy to reach any major attraction in the city center. There are also plenty of supermarkets and restaurants nearby. The staff were very enthusiastic and helpful, and they always greeted us warmly when we returned. The breakfast selection was incredibly diverse – one of the most extensive we've seen across the 7-8 countries we've visited. The buffet had rows and rows of food! Our room wasn't huge, but it was perfectly adequate, very tidy, and everything worked well. Overall, this was one of the most comfortable hotels we stayed at during our trip, apart from the initial hassle with the key cards on the first day. It would be even better if they could fix those faulty key cards!"

"Interesting hotel, but there were some surprises. The place looks rundown from the street, but inside it is in good condition. It must have the smallest elevator that I've ever seen, but it works! We were allocated room 105, above the entrance. It has interesting decor, but to be honest we would have preferred functionality over funky. The curtains wouldn't close completely, so there was a shaft of light in our eyes while trying to sleep, and there was a lot of street noise too. Getting allocated a room higher up and/or located on the back of the hotel would have been better."

"Hotel room decent size, but it was twin beds pushed together.The hotel was quiet and bed decent. I didn't get breakfast So I can't comment on that. I had to go out and buy toothpaste and shampoo (but later realised that the mostly empty body wash was hair and body combined. Room was warm with Air com. Decent hotel. My only complaint was that when I went to book more nights, compared to online, they were going to charge me a lot more, So I chose to go elsewhere."

"I booked this hotel mainly for its location. It's close to Atocha train station, about a 12-minute walk, and you can take the 203 bus to the airport! Almost all of Madrid's attractions are within a 2km radius, and you can even take bus 27 to Bernabéu! However... the room was so noisy, constantly with subway sounds!! There are about 20 rooms on one floor, from 01 to 22. I was initially given room 222. I don't usually mind end rooms, but this one was not only an end room, it was at the very end of the hallway, directly facing the corridor instead of being on either side! That wouldn't have bothered me if it weren't for the constant train track noise I heard when I came back to rest at night. I realized the subway station was right outside. This end room must have been the closest to the subway. I even recorded the noise on my phone and went to the front desk to discuss changing rooms! The front desk clearly knew about the problem. Her attitude was very poor. She first said, 'We're fully booked tonight!' I asked, 'When does the subway stop running?' She said 1:30 AM! I told her I couldn't sleep with that noise and couldn't accept it, hoping she'd change my room. She very reluctantly changed me to 401, and whereas I was initially given two key cards, she grudgingly gave me only one after the room change! Note that 01 is also an end room, and the elevator and fire escape are right outside the door!! As long as there's no noise, I can accept it! That night, as I was browsing on my phone in bed in 401, there was a huge vibration from the headboard. I thought there was an earthquake in Madrid!!! It turned out to be the fire escape door slamming shut really hard!!!! A hotel costing over 3500 for three nights, which is considered cheap locally, but the noise level is just unacceptable!! I can't give a good review!! Do Trip.com users not deserve to have rooms in the middle?"

"This hotel is absolutely fantastic! It's located right in the heart of the city, offering a peaceful retreat amidst the bustling center. You can take the metro directly from the airport, and within a few minutes' walk from the hotel, you'll reach Plaza Mayor, Puerta del Sol, and the Royal Palace of Madrid! Staying here completely eliminates the hassle of transferring metros. The hotel has a beautiful garden design with lots of greenery, making it very comfortable. And the breakfast is delicious too!"
