"The hotel staff were incredibly attentive and warmly introduced us to the nearby attractions. The hotel felt very secure, and the high-floor views were good. The rooms were very clean. Although the breakfast selection wasn't extensive, we thoroughly enjoyed it, especially the Western options which were quite tasty. Having to switch elevators in the middle was a bit inconvenient. It's really close to the Ancestral Temple; we got there quickly by taxi and it's also walkable to the attractions."

"The hotel is right next to 'The Romantic Show of Foshan' and within walking distance to Tingyin Lake. The hotel environment is quite good, with some recreational facilities. However, I really can't understand why a resort hotel would charge guests for using the rooftop swimming pool. The room was new and very clean, and I enjoyed a beautiful sunset from there. I only found out after eating out that evening that the hotel offers a buffet, but the front desk didn't mention it during check-in, which was a pity. The staff training definitely needs improvement."

"On Children's Day holiday, I was wondering where to take my kids when I saw this place on a video and it looked pretty good. It's quite convenient to get here by subway. From the city center, take Metro Line 2 to Guangzhou South Station, then transfer to Foshan Line 2. Get off at Shiliang B exit, go through the tunnel, and you're there. Very convenient. As soon as I entered, I was captivated by the magnificent fish tank. It was stunning. The service was excellent. Although we had to wait a bit to check in, we were allowed to go up to the 3rd floor and play in the ball pit, which was great. The dinner buffet was very rich. I had all the salmon sashimi I wanted. You could take several oysters at once, which was a nice touch! There was also white and red wine available. Overall, I was very satisfied. Highly recommend! The breakfast buffet was also very generous, with a wide variety of fruits."

"The Intercontinental Foshan Poly Hotel truly stands out. The decor is grand and luxurious, exuding a great sense of style. Its location is excellent, making transportation incredibly convenient. The rooms are spacious and elegant, offering a very comfortable and pleasant stay. A special shout-out to Andy and Nicole at the Executive Lounge; they thoughtfully called me to ask about my post-check-in experience! The hotel also has a kids' play area, perfect for families traveling with children. The staff provided professional and attentive service throughout, making the entire experience fantastic. Our whole family was very happy and we highly recommend it."

"Facilities: The decor is a bit dated but has an antique, traditional Chinese garden style. There are restaurants on floors 2-4, and the food is quite good. Hygiene: The bedding, towels, and carpets were all spotless. Environment: The hotel's internal environment is quite pleasant, with a subtle incense aroma. It's next to Qinghui Garden and Huagai Road Pedestrian Street, though the external access roads are a bit narrow and prone to traffic jams. Service: The service was good; all our requests were handled promptly."

"Loved my stay here! The lake-view room offered stunning views of Yayee Park and a distant glimpse of Foshan TV Tower. The room was spacious and bright, with smart controls that were easy to use. It was impeccably clean and tidy, and the hot water was plentiful and consistent. Plus, the minibar drinks were complimentary! The hotel is very thoughtful; on the 13th floor, next to the laundry room, there's a scenic corridor where you can relax and enjoy the view while waiting for your clothes. Breakfast was also high-quality, a great blend of Western and Chinese options. They even had local Foshan specialties like Chen Cun noodles and Lun Jiao cakes, alongside toast and salad. I didn't have time to try the gym or the infinity pool this time, but I'll definitely make sure to next visit. The front desk staff and the manager in black were incredibly genuine and attentive, patiently answering my questions with a smile. They even recommended Qixiangji, a local chicken restaurant, which turned out to be fantastic!"

"I've stayed at this hotel several times and have always enjoyed it, so I was surprised and disappointed when a staff member recently ruined my experience. Thankfully the manager intervened and promptly moved me to the room I had originally requested. The hotel is in an excellent location and, aside from that incident, remains a great choice for visitors."

First off, the lounge environment is superb – elegant and modern decor, with comfortable and private seating arrangements. Whether you're there for a business meeting, a casual get-together with friends, or like us, just want to quietly enjoy your vacation, you'll find the perfect spot. A special shout-out goes to the lounge team: Candy, Tiki, Amy, and Sunny for their exceptional service. From the exquisite pastries during afternoon tea to the generous selection of snacks and drinks during the evening cocktail hour, every staff member was smiling, attentive, and perfectly discreet. They consistently remembered our drink preferences and proactively introduced seasonal specials. The Happy Hour offerings were incredibly impressive, almost a fine dining experience in itself, with a full spread of hot dishes, cold cuts, cheeses, and fresh fruits. As for other aspects, the guest rooms lived up to the usual InterContinental standard – comfortable bedding and brand-new facilities. Breakfast offered a wide variety, including authentic Foshan local delicacies. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a high-quality experience."

Environment: Construction work outside the entrance, but it didn't significantly affect getting around. Underground parking is on B3, a bit convoluted to navigate. The surrounding area offers convenient dining and exercise options. Service: Check-in was quick, and the service was delivered with a smile."

"This is a classic, old-school five-star hotel that exudes a timeless elegance. While the rooms may not be as spacious as those in newer hotels, my stay was comfortable, and I would definitely return. The facilities are comprehensive, and the service is excellent. Overall, its minor flaws are easily outweighed by its many positives. 1. The lifeguard was incredibly responsible. My child stumbled slightly and swallowed some water in the children's pool, and the lifeguard immediately, without a moment's hesitation, sprinted over. 2. The young lady at the front desk who checked me in went out of her way to call and confirm details when I casually asked, 'Is this a non-smoking room, and can the twin beds be pushed together?' 3. We decided last minute to have the buffet dinner at the hotel. The manager, dressed in a suit, proactively offered discount options. Plates were cleared very promptly during the meal, and the clown server was practically worried he hadn't given the children enough balloons. 4. A new self-service laundry room has been installed on the 4th floor of the Biyun Building, featuring four washing machines and four dryers, all commercial-grade. Thumbs up! Just three small suggestions: 1. As I booked at the last minute, the hotel's order processing was a bit slow. The front desk couldn't find my reservation during check-in. The initial receptionist was quite unhelpful; she didn't say how long I'd have to wait, just that the order was being processed, and she wouldn't even look at the hotel confirmation I proactively showed her, leaving me stranded at the front desk. 2. Many of the staff seemed unsure about the location of the laundry room and provided me with incorrect information. 3. It would be great if there was a service to return washed clothes to the room or a wash-to-dry transfer service. After all, hotels like [brand A] and [brand B] allow guests to just drop off their laundry and not worry about it, with staff delivering the clothes to the room later. Here, when I asked guest services if there was a clothes delivery service, the staff member 'educated' me by saying, 'Here, everything is self-service.' So, I set an alarm to move the laundry to the dryer after 30 minutes, and then returned two hours and two minutes later to pick up the dry clothes. (I fully understand that five-star hotels typically only offer dry cleaning services, but since they've provided new self-service facilities, perhaps the service could be upgraded to match.)"
