First impressions The lobby sets the tone immediately. It’s clean, well-presented and the staff are genuinely professional. As an English speaker with only basic Mandarin, I was a little nervous about communication, but the front desk team went above and beyond with translation and made me feel completely at ease. That kind of hospitality is hard to fake. The Room My room was impressively clean overall. The only thing I’d flag is the carpet, which felt like it could use a deeper steam clean. Nothing alarming, and perfectly fine with slippers, but worth mentioning. The air conditioning though? Absolutely elite. Strong, reliable and a lifesaver. Facilities The fifth floor amenities are a real highlight. The gym has brand new equipment, fresh towels and complimentary water ready to go. I spent some solid time on the cardio machines and had zero complaints. The laundry room is also genuinely impressive — four washers, four dryers, plenty of seating, steamers and a dedicated ironing area. Very thoughtfully set up. Food The hotel has several dining options on-site. I tried the dim sum and it was solid. Good variety, good quality and a nice atmosphere. The One Thing That Needs Work Wi-Fi. For younger travellers especially, reliable internet is non-negotiable. Whether it was for remote work or just streaming, the speeds were consistently disappointing. Upload and download were both underwhelming. My cellular signal wasn’t great either, but I’d expect the hotel Wi-Fi to compensate for that, not add to the frustration. Final Verdict This is a hotel that genuinely nails the hospitality side of things. It’s clean, the staff are warm and professional, and the facilities are well above average. Sort out the Wi-Fi and this is easily a five-star experience across the board. I’d absolutely come back next time I’m in Danzao.

My stay at Orange Hotel was truly exceptional! The hotel's location is fantastic, right near the Ferris wheel and with a subway station just outside, making transportation incredibly convenient. Parking was also a breeze. The room was well-equipped, the bedding was clean and fresh, and the shower had consistent, powerful water flow. The toiletries had a refreshing scent and felt moisturizing on the skin. Breakfast offered a great variety of delicious options. The front desk staff were attentive and friendly, always ready to help with any issues. The room itself was quiet and comfortable, perfect for both leisure and short trips. Its prime location made for an outstanding experience. I highly recommend it and will definitely prioritize booking here for my next trip.

The room was spacious, and the lady at the front desk was very efficient with check-in. She was also quick to help whenever I had an issue. Since we had a child with us, they even gave us a small gift, which made my kid very happy. Plus, they offered a car service to Guangzhou South Station, which was really great.

The hotel decor is nice, the facilities are good, and the cleanliness is acceptable. Overall, I'm quite satisfied. Now for the cons, mainly the service, which felt very unprofessional. The front desk always had a queue, and the staff seemed flustered, always busy but not sure what they were busy with. When checking in, staff member A asked for our ID. After finishing with the person in front, staff member B then asked for my ID again. I told her I had already given it to them. Staff member C then reminded B that it was right next to her, and B proceeded to complain to C for not reminding her earlier. When I returned to pick up my stored luggage after checking out, I handed the luggage tag to staff member B. B then asked me where the luggage was. I had given you the tag, and you're asking me where it is? You're the ones who put it away, how would I know? Now I finally understand why they're always busy; the efficiency is just too low.

I booked this hotel for my parents who were going furniture shopping. They told me the hotel environment was better than the one they stayed at the previous day near the flower market. There was also dinner in the evening, and the room was very clean. It's incredibly convenient to the furniture city, and they were also very satisfied with the breakfast. My first time staying at this Sheraton, and while it's not brand new, it offers great value for money. The room had a small balcony, and the location is excellent! From the hotel, a taxi to Fengjian Water Town was about 46 RMB (a bit far), to Fisherman's Wharf was about 17 RMB, and it took only 9 minutes to get to Daliang Shunde Fisherman's Village for dim sum... As a stopover and resupply point, it's more than sufficient. Big shout-out to Gavin Zhao Peilin at the front desk! He was incredibly helpful with his detailed recommendations; clearly, he's a local who knows all the best places to eat and drink.

It is a fantastic, high-value choice for both business travelers and weekend sightseers alike.

I took my child out for Children's Day. Facilities: To be honest, the play facilities are a bit old, but there are many food options inside, and the prices are cheaper than X-Long. We chose the stargazing room, and my child loved it, but I hope the cleanliness can be improved. Some hidden corners weren't cleaned properly, and there was a lot of dust in the room. The hotel package included access to the amusement park, but many facilities required additional payment, which felt a bit like a rip-off. What I did enjoy was the swimming and hot springs. It feels like Changlu really wants to be a resort, but perhaps due to the current economic downturn, it hasn't been able to maintain itself well. Overall, it was still an enjoyable trip. I hope Changlu improves!
