GGuest UserI usually don't write reviews, but my stay here was exceptional. First off, the owner was incredibly thoughtful. They checked in with us beforehand about everything. Knowing we were driving an electric car, they even parked their own car in a charging spot to reserve it for us, ensuring we had immediate parking despite the tight parking situation in the area. Secondly, the room was fantastic. We booked a suite, and from the pictures, I thought one of the rooms would be small, but both were spacious. The cleanliness, facilities, and overall environment were truly impeccable. 90% of the time, hotel room pictures don't match reality, but theirs were spot on. Finally, let's talk about the location and service. Right outside, there's a whole street of street food, so you can find anything you want to eat. It's also very close to the South Gate. And again, the owner was wonderful and very attentive. We had a great chat, and after learning about my hobby, they even gave me a gift that's very precious to me. The two little cats are also super cuddly. All in all, I'm completely sold on this place. Couldn't ask for more.

GGuest UserI've lost count of how many times I've stayed at Meishan Inn. It's truly my favorite inn in Dali Ancient City! The location is superb, extremely close to all the fun spots around Renmin Road and the ancient city, yet it's incredibly quiet at night, not noisy at all. The owner's service is incredibly thoughtful and meticulous; any questions or requests are handled perfectly. The inn itself is beautifully decorated, making it a perfect place to unwind and relax. I could easily spend an entire afternoon doing nothing but sitting in the courtyard. I genuinely recommend everyone to stay here!

ZZhongxiazhihua-xiangyangershengThey contacted us in advance and even provided the items we requested on arrival day. It's a small detail, but it shows they care about their guests' needs. When we got to the parking lot, a young man picked us up in a golf cart. The guesthouse environment is great, right by Erhai Lake, and very close to popular cafes, yet still incredibly quiet. The only downside might be the breakfast counter – it's a bit small. They upgraded our room, but unfortunately, we didn't get to see the sunrise. Overall, it was excellent, highly recommended!

GGuest UserIdeally located just a 6-7 minute drive from Shuanglang Ancient Town, and facing Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake, this guesthouse perfectly blends nature, art, and lifestyle aesthetics. From the interior furnishings to the courtyard layout, and even the coffee bar and viewing area, every detail reveals meticulous attention to detail. The courtyard is surrounded by greenery, with banana leaves and loquat trees arranged in a harmonious arrangement. Stone paths and water features complement each other beautifully, and the exposed wooden beams not only preserve the building's original texture but also give the space a sense of timeless quality. The rooms are fully equipped with toiletries, and the beds are of high quality. The owner is attentive and considerate, proactively helping us with our luggage and always ready to assist us. Before we left, he even took photos of our family, bringing a perfect end to our trip. (Photos of the room interior taken before check-out)

NNaxikeguoziyiThis guesthouse in Dali was an absolute highlight of my trip! Stepping onto the balcony, I was greeted by stunning views of Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake. Waking up to sunshine and birdsong in the morning, and watching the sunset paint the sky from the terrace in the evening was simply magical. The room itself was cozy and tastefully decorated, blending local touches seamlessly with modern design. The owner was incredibly warm and welcoming, and their recommendations for local food and hidden gems were unforgettable. Time seemed to slow down here, making every moment truly restorative. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next visit to Dali!

GGuest UserI've had Inkstone Mountain House on my radar for a while, and it definitely didn't disappoint! It truly lives up to its reputation as an aesthetic designer B&B, and the experience was absolutely fantastic. The location is a huge plus – just a ten-minute walk to Dali Ancient City, offering a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle. The B&B has a Zen modern style, with white walls, wooden trellises, and a lush green courtyard, creating an incredible play of light and shadow. Every photo you take here looks like it belongs in a magazine 📸. The room was bright and spacious, with floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows that offered stunning views of the misty Cangshan Mountains and distant Erhai Lake as soon as I opened my eyes. I could even watch the sunrise from bed, and the bathtub view was incredibly therapeutic. The entire room was spotless, the bedding was soft and comfortable, the bathroom facilities were comprehensive, and there were thoughtful smart devices, making for a truly comfortable stay. Both the owner and staff were gentle and attentive, providing warm service without being intrusive. They even shared their secret recommendations for off-the-beaten-path activities and must-try local food, and treated us to a lovely afternoon tea. Breakfast was authentic Dali-style rice noodles, both comforting and delicious. The courtyard is tranquil and elegant; sitting there, sipping tea and enjoying the breeze, everything felt poetic. It truly allowed me to experience the beauty of Dali's slow-paced life 🌿. From its aesthetics and cleanliness to the service and views, everything was top-notch. Staying here in Dali was such a smart choice! I've already recommended it to my friends, and I'll definitely be staying at Inkstone Mountain House again next time I visit~

AAnonymous User1. **Check-in Area:** The check-in counter, or front desk, was quite shabby. The computer keyboard was practically caked in grime, and don't even get me started on the sofa next to it – it looked very unhygienic. 2. **Dining:** The breakfast area was a bit cramped, with just four small tables by the street. If you're a party of more than two, you'd have to sit separately, or you might even have to stand and wait for a table. The coffee, however, was good. I only had breakfast once: a cold quinoa salad (see Photo 6) served with bread that had an overpowering artificial creamer flavor. I had been looking forward to the rice noodles for the next day, but serving didn't start until 8:30 AM, which was far too late for my rumbling stomach. Early risers and those who prefer hot meals should seriously consider other options or make alternative arrangements. 3. **Room (2nd floor) - Noise Issues:** Don't even think about getting any sleep at night. After 11 PM, there was still noise along the street, along with the clanging of the garbage truck. (Seriously, I'd strongly advise against staying in the Old Town.) The next day, it started pouring before dawn, and the sound of the heavy rain kept me awake as well. 4. **Room - Facility Issues:** The room I stayed in was supposedly the quietest in the entire hotel. It featured a large bathtub and a bathroom where the toilet and shower area lacked wet/dry separation. Unable to deal with the wet floor, I decided to shower in the bathtub. That's when I discovered Problem #1: the glass partition was completely transparent, with no curtain or frosted glass. The staff member claimed this was 'design.' Then came Fatal Problem #2: the bathtub had no running water, haha! 😄 5. **Room - Odor Issues:** Upon entering, there was a strong musty smell. The staff claimed it was due to 'raw wood,' but it's been 8 years and it still smells like that? Quite amusing. 6. **Staff (Pre-Check-in):** Before I even checked in, they asked me to cancel my booking on the platform and pay them privately for a discounted rate. I have this in writing. This is definitely a huge red flag, and I'm surprised they even dared to suggest it. 7. **Staff (General):** The individuals themselves were nice enough, but I was surprised to find that all the 'Jixiashan' staff were quite young, without uniforms, and seemingly without direct supervision, which gave a very disorganized and casual impression. 8. **Housekeeping:** I was quite satisfied with the housekeeping. Seeing the clean duvet and towels gave me peace of mind (P.S. the pillows were also comfortable). The hotel's facilities are very old; no matter how clean the bathroom tiles were, they still looked run-down, compounded by the dim lighting. Therefore, I feel the housekeeping staff here really have a tough job. 9. **Building Structure:** One morning, during a heavy downpour, when I opened my 2nd-floor room door, the entrance was essentially flooded up to my heels. It was quite a feat that the water didn't spread into the room. At night, there were no lights, so I had to grope my way back to the room along the dark corridor. It would be quite difficult for someone who doesn't remember their way (see Photos 1-2). 10. **Hotel Amenities:** One night, I heard the guest next door return, unable to open their door with the key, and had to call a staff member for help. They chatted for a bit outside the door before the staff member finally told the guest a 'trick': 'The key needs to be inserted a certain way, and the lock has a particular mechanism...' That's quite a struggle – needing a special technique just to get back to your room! 11. **Minor Details:** The room key had a very large, bulky leather tag attached to it. Absolutely no consideration for travelers on long journeys with limited luggage space. Who would want to carry such a bulky thing around? I originally had high hopes for the 'Jixiashan' brand. When I was in Shangri-La, I heard their Meili store had a collaboration with Kolon, which made me think they had good taste. This Dali Ancient City location is their first store, but it turned out to be such a low standard. Given the daily rate, I guess I understand why. This particular store cannot be found on 'Jixiashan's' mini-program; it's categorized under 'Wang Shenme Chuan Qu Le'.

FForeverzhuThe guesthouse itself is quite new, and all the facilities are well-equipped, fitting a modern aesthetic. The owner is very welcoming and even helped with our luggage. The breakfast provided was also great! It's incredibly convenient for exploring the area too. The location is easy to find, and you can get to Dali Ancient City in just a few minutes. There are also many food options nearby, so you'll be spoiled for choice within a short walk. Renting an electric scooter makes it easy to get anywhere! That's a huge plus! Erhai Lake is simply beautiful! I'll definitely be back again!

GGuest UserThis guesthouse is nestled within the ancient city, making it incredibly convenient for getting around, especially with its proximity to Renmin Road. There are also plenty of shops and businesses nearby. The room was clean and tidy, and I had a very comfortable stay. The lobby on the ground floor has sofas where you can relax and also store your luggage. There's even a fish pond in the courtyard and a washing machine available, which is a great touch. The price is really affordable too – excellent value for money!

GGuest UserThe location is fantastic, with an ecological corridor right outside the door, making it so convenient for morning and evening walks! The room was very quiet, and the breakfast rice noodles were freshly cooked daily. The breakfast they provided was delicious, much better than what you'd get outside. The coffee served with afternoon tea was also fragrant. The front desk guy enthusiastically recommended some off-the-beaten-path trails in Sea Tongue Park and even helped borrow an umbrella on rainy days. Perfect attention to detail!
