GGuest UserModern business emphasizes ”replicability” as the best business model, but I believe that sometimes the irreplicable aspects are the most valuable and the core reason why a company or shop can operate for a long time. For example, the unique ”human touch” of the ”Several Mountain Retreats” where we stayed this time. This trip to Qingcheng Mountain was an ”escape” from the hustle and bustle of the city and work. We chose to come to the mountains on a weekday to avoid being disturbed, but we were also worried about being bored or lonely. ”Several Mountain Retreats” dispelled all our concerns, allowing us to truly experience the peaceful and leisurely life in the mountains. Upon arriving at the guesthouse, the two owners, Colin and Xiaoxiao, welcomed and treated us like old friends, with just the right amount of courtesy. They responded promptly to our small needs. The guesthouse has free self-service laundry; on the first night, my boyfriend forgot to take his clothes to the dryer, and when he came downstairs, he found they were already dried. They remembered our details and prepared extra towels and cups for us. In the evenings, sitting in the courtyard enjoying the breeze and rain, they kindly asked if we wanted some fruit. When we couldn't get a taxi back after eating nearby, they even came to pick us up and ”take us home.” And so on. Every day, the owner's handmade steamed buns and coffee were served for brunch. As a steamed bun and coffee lover, I was ecstatic!!! I usually eat steamed buns and coffee for lunch at home every day, and I never thought I could maintain my old habits even in Qingcheng Mountain. This is truly wonderful! The cat ”Little Tiger” greeted us every day and wanted to be petted. The other cat, ”Little Tabby,” was a bit cautious, but I managed to pet him a few days later (hahaha). I'm a seasoned cat lover, so having cats makes me especially happy. And I'll always remember that night listening to the rain in the courtyard with the two cats. The overall decor of the guesthouse was clearly thoughtful, like a secluded paradise (I even saw a blue dragonfly!). The rooms were very clean, with harmonious colors, and fresh flowers, greenery, and bergamot potted plants everywhere. Every time I stepped into a room, I quickly felt relaxed. The layout was very convenient; for example, the light switches were placed very logically, so I didn't have to walk extra distances to turn the lights on or off. Everything was disposable, so hygiene wasn't a concern. They even thoughtfully provided makeup remover wipes. This is the longest review I've ever written—it's all about love and gratitude!! Fully charged back to work now, thanks Colin and Xiaoxiao!!!

AakihoThe hotel environment is excellent, very quiet, and perfect for relaxing and unwinding. They offer activities like scripture copying, mandala drawing, Baduanjin exercises, and meditation, so you won't get bored even if you stay in. The cleaning was meticulous, making for a comfortable and pleasant stay. The concierge team was very professional, responsive, and incredibly warm and thoughtful. While the breakfast didn't have a huge variety, it was perfectly sufficient. The only minor drawback was that the restaurant's dishes could use some improvement in taste. However, the Shangpin Restaurant directly across from the hotel had great ambiance and delicious food, which more than made up for it. I'll definitely be back.

GGuest UserThe room was spotless, and the view was absolutely stunning. Through the floor-to-ceiling windows, we could see Mount Qingcheng shrouded in rain, and at night, we drifted off to sleep listening to the sound of flowing water. The restaurant downstairs was also incredibly delicious! The bamboo shoots this season were so tender and had a milky flavor. Every staff member at the guesthouse was exceptionally kind and helpful. A special shoutout to the owner who even helped us find a car down the mountain 🥹! The service was incredibly thoughtful and attentive, including afternoon tea and a sweet dessert soup before bed. Finally, a big thank you to all the staff for their hard work. We loved it and will definitely be back next time! Wishing the owner great success in business~

The hot spring tub in the hot spring room was on a small balcony, complete with a platform and a curtain. It had a structure that allowed for ventilation and natural light while still feeling private and enclosed. They provided disposable bath covers and bath salts, making the hot spring experience incredibly relaxing and enjoyable! Just as pictured. Service: It happened to be my birthday during my stay, and the front desk proactively asked if I'd like any complimentary offerings. I mentioned I only wanted longevity noodles, and to my delight, the kitchen prepared a super delicious bowl of clear longevity noodles for me – I was so happy! There were also cake shops nearby that offered delivery for birthday cakes. Sichuanese people are truly so warm and welcoming; when the cake shop delivered the cake, they even wished me a happy birthday, right to my room, and it was incredibly affordable... much cheaper than in Beijing, I felt. The staff in the kitchen and restaurant were also exceptionally attentive and kind. They helped me put the unfinished cake in the fridge so I could enjoy it after coming down from the mountain the next day. Environment: Upon check-in, you can walk along the sightseeing car path for about 10 to 15 minutes to reach a plaza in Qingcheng Mountain. The sunset views from there are stunning, and there's a large lawn perfect for a post-dinner stroll (P4). The hotel is conveniently located right next to the starting station of the sightseeing car. The next day, for hiking, the first sightseeing car at 8:30 AM takes you directly to the entrance of Qingcheng Mountain. I highly recommend taking this sightseeing car because the distance is genuinely very, very far. The day I hiked Qingcheng Mountain, I took the sightseeing car, and on the mountain, I visited Zushi Temple and pretty much all the Taoist temples. I hiked all the way up and took the cable car down, walking 26,000 steps (all stairs, no flat paths). Without the sightseeing car, it would probably be 35,000 steps or more. Alternatively, you could walk further in on the first day and stay on Qingcheng Mountain or very close to it, but the hotels in those areas probably wouldn't be as new and nice as this one. Drawbacks: Breakfast wasn't a buffet. I suspect this is because it was off-peak season (early June), and there were only about three or four tables of guests for breakfast, so they might have opted not to offer a buffet, possibly serving pre-packaged hot meals. I wasn't entirely satisfied with this, but since everything else was so excellent, I can overlook the breakfast issue. Plus, right across from the hotel, there's a KFC, Ba Wang Cha Ji (a popular tea shop), and all sorts of other places, including 'laozao' (fermented glutinous rice). Overall, I had a truly wonderful stay.

GGuest UserThe environment here is great, offering excellent value for money. Breakfast runs quite late, until noon, and the spread is incredibly rich and varied. There's a laundry room on the 5th floor, which is super convenient, and a gym on the 3rd floor. The hotel is very close to the scenic spots, making getting around a breeze. Plus, there are lots of great restaurants nearby. The pillows and mattress in the room are incredibly comfortable – I slept like a baby! I'll definitely be staying here again next time. Five stars, highly recommended!

GGuest UserBooked a family suite for a birthday celebration, and they even decorated it for us and provided a complimentary birthday cake – it was a really thoughtful touch. The butler service was impeccable and very prompt. My kids loved the activities, especially picking vegetables from the garden and exchanging eggs for ice cream. The hotel's overall environment is quiet and elegant, and the location is superb, right at the foot of Mount Qingcheng. Next time I'm back to seek enlightenment, I'll definitely stay at Six Senses again. Oh, and I really appreciate that Six Senses is so committed to environmental protection and public welfare! 👍

ZZembe🇹🇭🇹🇭ขอรีวิวเป็นภาษาอังกฤษนะคะ This place was exactly like the photos – super nice with amazing service. The hosts were incredibly kind and even gave us a ride to the Qingcheng Mountain entrance and the Qingcheng Railway Station. If you’re planning to hike up Qingcheng Mountain, I totally recommend staying here. 1.The room was super spacious and looked just like the pictures. Everything felt fresh, clean, and super comfy. 2.The bed was really soft, and all the amenities were modern and well thought out. 3.The staff were friendly, helpful, and just really lovely overall. 4.Great location – close to Qingcheng Station and the mountain. 5.Breakfast is included, but sadly we woke up too late to try ๆit. Next time for sure! We did have lunch there though, and it was delicious. 6.Honestly, everything was great. Totally worth every penny.

MmeestermodaoWent during a low season. The hotel was virtually empty except for us, but the staff remained professional. The rooms were a slight letdown on a few points - BUT overall it was extremely enjoyable and downright luxurious in other areas. Overall, a definite recommend. We had a great stay and a great time. Amazing - it's a working tea farm. We woke early to pluck tea leaves for the experience (free but worth 68 yuan) and if you collect enough you can take it to the tea master to then experience frying the tea in a wok to turn the fresh leaves into dry green tea. The tea sachets in the rooms are made by the hotel themselves and taste great. More free experiences are included with the stay, including tea brewing classes and wearing hanfu. I thought it to be incredibly value for money. The private onsen is great and came with a homemade herbal pouch to throw in for a medicinal bath. The rooms are spacious with an excellent view - and I MUST commend the incredible number of light switches which let you have any combination of light ambience. Minor letdowns - mosquitoes will come to you at the alfresco area during mealtimes, I would sit indoors next time. We also had to run the shower for a long while before hot water could come out. The charging sockets are a little iffy with lots of dust in the sockets and some outlets might not be working depending on your luck. The standard sockets mostly work but USB sockets might not. The smart W/C is also slightly malfunctioning but largely works as intended.

GGuest UserI liked the (Chinese-style) breakfast. The staff was helpful and they even took me down to the front of the mountain ticket office. The food at night (beef and bamboo shoots) was not bad. I stayed in the garden view room, with two single beds. The bed was comfortable. The tea in the room was really nice Maofeng tea. The style of the room didn’t scream luxury to me (not the quiet kind either). As for the location, I thought it would be nice to be in mountainous surroundings but it didn’t prove to be very convenient for my needs. I arrived on Friday and went to the front mountain on Saturday. Someone from the hotel very kindly dropped me off near the ticket office. A little aside: After visiting the mountain I decided on a spontaneous trip to Nanqiao (the south bridge) in Dujiangyan (I had not seen it at night on an earlier trip there). It was not that hard to find a taxi back, but keep in mind a small surcharge of 3.9% for taking you up the mountain). On Sunday I left the hotel too late as it was already very busy on the road to the back mountain ticket the taxi driver did not want to take me there (cause it would mean being stuck in traffic for hours either no compensation for all this waste of time) but offered to take me to The high speed railway station from which I could take a bus (passing hotel again!). Obviously the bus also ended up in a traffic jam, but in any case I did make it there in the end. Luckily I took my luggage and left it at a shop next to the foot passenger ticket office for 5 yuan. Unfortunately the hot water spring is only open in winter. They have a nice pool though. I enjoyed my stay but didn’t find it very luxurious although it is rare to have a hotel with a pool in China, so that was cool. At around 50 euros per night it was okay value for money.
