I had a wonderful stay at Starway Hotel Dujiangyan and would happily stay here again.
The location was excellent. It was within easy walking distance of Guanxian Ancient Town, the South Bridge (Nanqiao), the Dujiangyan Irrigation System, and the lively streets filled with local restaurants, cafés, and shops. There were also convenience stores nearby, making it a perfect base for exploring Dujiangyan on foot.
The ladies at the front desk were exceptional. Although we didn’t speak the same language, they were incredibly patient and friendly, using a translation app to communicate with me and always making sure I had everything I needed.
The room was clean, tidy, and comfortable. After spending the day sightseeing in the summer heat, it was such a relief to return to a room with excellent air conditioning that kept it nice and cool.
Unfortunately, I had to leave early and missed breakfast, but the staff kindly offered to prepare a takeaway breakfast for me, which was a thoughtful gesture and very much appreciated. They also looked after my luggage for the entire day after I checked out, allowing me to enjoy more sightseeing before my train without having to carry my bags.
The genuine kindness and hospitality of the staff made my stay even more enjoyable. I highly recommend Starway Hotel Dujiangyan to anyone visiting this beautiful city.
