Modern business emphasizes ”replicability” as the best business model, but I believe that sometimes the irreplicable aspects are the most valuable and the core reason why a company or shop can operate for a long time. For example, the unique ”human touch” of the ”Several Mountain Retreats” where we stayed this time. This trip to Qingcheng Mountain was an ”escape” from the hustle and bustle of the city and work. We chose to come to the mountains on a weekday to avoid being disturbed, but we were also worried about being bored or lonely. ”Several Mountain Retreats” dispelled all our concerns, allowing us to truly experience the peaceful and leisurely life in the mountains. Upon arriving at the guesthouse, the two owners, Colin and Xiaoxiao, welcomed and treated us like old friends, with just the right amount of courtesy. They responded promptly to our small needs. The guesthouse has free self-service laundry; on the first night, my boyfriend forgot to take his clothes to the dryer, and when he came downstairs, he found they were already dried. They remembered our details and prepared extra towels and cups for us. In the evenings, sitting in the courtyard enjoying the breeze and rain, they kindly asked if we wanted some fruit. When we couldn't get a taxi back after eating nearby, they even came to pick us up and ”take us home.” And so on. Every day, the owner's handmade steamed buns and coffee were served for brunch. As a steamed bun and coffee lover, I was ecstatic!!! I usually eat steamed buns and coffee for lunch at home every day, and I never thought I could maintain my old habits even in Qingcheng Mountain. This is truly wonderful! The cat ”Little Tiger” greeted us every day and wanted to be petted. The other cat, ”Little Tabby,” was a bit cautious, but I managed to pet him a few days later (hahaha). I'm a seasoned cat lover, so having cats makes me especially happy. And I'll always remember that night listening to the rain in the courtyard with the two cats. The overall decor of the guesthouse was clearly thoughtful, like a secluded paradise (I even saw a blue dragonfly!). The rooms were very clean, with harmonious colors, and fresh flowers, greenery, and bergamot potted plants everywhere. Every time I stepped into a room, I quickly felt relaxed. The layout was very convenient; for example, the light switches were placed very logically, so I didn't have to walk extra distances to turn the lights on or off. Everything was disposable, so hygiene wasn't a concern. They even thoughtfully provided makeup remover wipes. This is the longest review I've ever written—it's all about love and gratitude!! Qingcheng Mountain Girls' Trip🍃 I'd repeatedly book this healing B&B! Escaping the bustling city of Chengdu with my bestie for a weekend, we came to Qingcheng Mountain to breathe in the fresh air and unwind – it was incredibly therapeutic! We stumbled upon the hidden gem, Hegushanju, which offers an all-inclusive experience for dining, accommodation, and activities, meaning absolutely no planning was needed.✨ The B&B is nestled in a tranquil mountain forest and bamboo sea, fully immersing you in a Zen atmosphere! Besides the private hot tub on each room's super private balcony ♨️, there's also a stunning outdoor mountain pool. The water is crystal clear, surrounded by lush greenery, making it perfect for photoshoots. Playing in the water and strolling with my bestie was incredibly enjoyable! The evening healing experience was a huge plus! Every night at 8 PM, there's a singing bowl and candlelit meditation, offering an immersive way to de-stress and calm the mind. It truly healed all my work-related anxieties; the experience was fantastic. The second day's itinerary was relaxed yet fulfilling! From 8:30 to 10:00 AM, there's an incredibly rich buffet breakfast with everything from *chaoshou* (wontons), noodles, to whole grain porridges. We ate until we were full and energized. During the day, you can join a group hike in the mountain forest to embrace nature, or quietly copy scriptures and paint mandalas at the Suwen Academy, slowly savoring the holiday time. The location is excellent, especially waking up to a view of lush greenery from bed. I have to particularly highlight their Chinese food, which was delicious. We ate three dinners in the ancient town. Our first was here. For our second, my husband insisted on trying a highly-rated place he found online, but... not a single dish was good. So, for our third dinner, we came back here. We had the cured meat platter three times, it was especially good here, and the 'fish擺擺' (a local fish dish) was also tasty. We just didn't get around to trying the hot pot, so we'll have to come back for that next time. **Facilities:** Pretty good, with smart toilets and a separate wet and dry area in the bathroom. **Hygiene:** Considered quite good for a guesthouse. **Environment:** The location is superb, and the atmosphere both upstairs and downstairs is great. Kids can play in the small river, and if adults don't want to be in the sun, they can have tea at the bar on the ground floor. Sitting at the bar in the evening is very pleasant, and the prices are reasonable. **Service:** Excellent! The owner contacted us in advance. When we arrived, someone specially helped park our car, and when it was time to leave, we just let them know and they brought the car back out. It's perfect for lazy people, haha, no need to walk far for parking or be out in the sun.

The room was very tidy; it's a shame I didn't get any photos because my little one immediately ran to the tent ⛺️. There's a buffet breakfast every morning, which I think ends before 10 AM – not very friendly for late risers like me! 🥳 There's also afternoon tea 🫖 every day. (Just a side note: since our child is quite young, we had both lunch and dinner at the hotel restaurant every day), and the food was really delicious. There's also a play area for children on the first floor, and you can even get game tokens from the front desk! (Our child was too young, so mom and dad played for him). On the day we checked in, the lady at the front desk gave our baby a mosquito repellent bracelet, which we absolutely loved. All I can say is: we'll meet again soon! (literally: 'Mountains and rivers will meet, we'll see each other again.')

The room environment is excellent, comparable to chain hotels in every aspect. It's very close to the Dujiangyan scenic area and the South Bridge, making transportation convenient. The room has a voice assistant (Xiaodu), and the toilet even provides disposable seat covers. On the fifth floor, there's a terrace, a washing machine and dryer, and a gym. The restaurant breakfast is also rich and delicious. I highly recommend it! 👍 This is the best value-for-money hotel I've ever stayed in, no wonder it has such a high rating. There were no unpleasant surprises at all. I highly recommend everyone to stay here. (Genuine review)

The hosts were incredibly kind and even gave us a ride to the Qingcheng Mountain entrance and the Qingcheng Railway Station. If you’re planning to hike up Qingcheng Mountain, I totally recommend staying here. 1.The room was super spacious and looked just like the pictures. Everything felt fresh, clean, and super comfy. 2.The bed was really soft, and all the amenities were modern and well thought out. 3.The staff were friendly, helpful, and just really lovely overall. 4.Great location – close to Qingcheng Station and the mountain. 5.Breakfast is included, but sadly we woke up too late to try ๆit. Next time for sure! We did have lunch there though, and it was delicious. 6.Honestly, everything was great. Totally worth every penny.

Very warm, friendly, and helpful reception. Room is extremely spacious. Thanks to a complimentary upgrade, we’ve enjoyed the private hot spring (tub). The host also helped us with booking of tickets to Panda Valley. We left our luggage to visit Qingcheng Shan, and when we returned to pick them up before heading to Chengdu, we were gifted oranges and water for the ride. Breakfast is very food - the widest spread of selection amongst the many hotels and guesthouses we have stayed in Sichuan. A good base to explore Qingcheng. Highly recommended.

Located between the front and back peaks of Qingcheng Mountain. This summer has been incredibly hot. Aside from the heat, there aren't any major issues. The chirping of cicadas fills the air from morning to night. The rooftop view is truly relaxing, far removed from the hustle and bustle of the city. It's a tranquil retreat.

The hotel environment is very nice, the room facilities are good, and the staff are very attentive and warm. The only downside is the location is a bit out of the way. Driving is fine, but there's a flight of stairs to the lobby from where you park, which can be inconvenient with luggage. However, the staff will help you with that once they realize it. It would be great if there were luggage carts available.

I liked the (Chinese-style) breakfast. The staff was helpful and they even took me down to the front of the mountain ticket office. The food at night (beef and bamboo shoots) was not bad. I stayed in the garden view room, with two single beds. The bed was comfortable. The tea in the room was really nice Maofeng tea. The style of the room didn’t scream luxury to me (not the quiet kind either). As for the location, I thought it would be nice to be in mountainous surroundings but it didn’t prove to be very convenient for my needs. I arrived on Friday and went to the front mountain on Saturday. Someone from the hotel very kindly dropped me off near the ticket office. A little aside: After visiting the mountain I decided on a spontaneous trip to Nanqiao (the south bridge) in Dujiangyan (I had not seen it at night on an earlier trip there). It was not that hard to find a taxi back, but keep in mind a small surcharge of 3.9% for taking you up the mountain). On Sunday I left the hotel too late as it was already very busy on the road to the back mountain ticket the taxi driver did not want to take me there (cause it would mean being stuck in traffic for hours either no compensation for all this waste of time) but offered to take me to The high speed railway station from which I could take a bus (passing hotel again!). Obviously the bus also ended up in a traffic jam, but in any case I did make it there in the end. Luckily I took my luggage and left it at a shop next to the foot passenger ticket office for 5 yuan. Unfortunately the hot water spring is only open in winter. They have a nice pool though. I enjoyed my stay but didn’t find it very luxurious although it is rare to have a hotel with a pool in China, so that was cool. At around 50 euros per night it was okay value for money.
