The mountain surroundings were absolutely breathtaking, with fresh crisp air that immediately washed away all our city stress. The room was cozy and well-designed, featuring traditional Chinese elements blended with modern amenities. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and accommodating, always ready to help with any requests. The location was perfect for exploring the Wuling Mountain area, and we loved waking up to the sound of birds and seeing the misty mountain views every morning. The hiking trails nearby were well-maintained and offered stunning views of the landscape. Although it was a bit remote, that was exactly what we were looking for - a true escape from urban life. The local breakfast was delicious and featured fresh, organic ingredients from the area. We particularly enjoyed the evening stargazing, as the night sky was crystal clear away from city lights. This place is absolutely perfect for couples seeking a romantic getaway or anyone looking to reconnect with nature. We would definitely recommend this hidden gem to all our friends and family, and we plan to return again in the different seasons to experience the changing beauty of the mountains. IIrina. AA great guesthouse near the Jingshanglin section of the Great Wall of China. The rooms are very spacious and clean. There's plenty of hot water. The hosts are very friendly and provided us with a complimentary excellent breakfast. The lunches were also delicious and very affordable. The hotel is a 5-minute walk from the park entrance, making it convenient for morning and evening photo shoots. We loved everything. If we come back, we'll stay here again.

GGuest UserStayed here for my hike from jinshanling to gubeikou. The location itself is great for visiting this section of the great wall. With just a short hike up the street you will reach the ticket office. Alternatively a driver could also be arranged.
After arriving the host immediately welcomed me. He also speaks english and was very helpful in planning my hike and sunrise photography. Overall a really nice and welcoming service.
The room itself was very modern and comfortable. Nothing really to complain about.
A huge plus was also the restaurant next door. Really great food with local ingredients.

CCocodaiTraveling with both the elderly and young kids, we made a spur-of-the-moment decision to get away for the weekend. I had already set my sights on this hotel, and the drive here was smooth. The hotel grounds are lovely, very peaceful and comfortable. No TV is actually a genius move, really good! It really helped my family focus on relaxation and the outdoors.
The kids absolutely loved the private hot spring. They were a bit disappointed they couldn't go into the public one, so for 468 for 2 hours, we booked a private one for them to enjoy. It was fantastic, especially the little milk bath – so refreshing and cool.

GGuest UserAfter checking in, every detail in the room was fantastic. The bed linen was pristine white, and the room was bright, well-lit, and spotlessly clean. The front desk staff proactively upgraded my room and helped with my luggage. The Wi-Fi signal was strong, and the wet/dry separation in the bathroom was very practical. The 'Xiaodu' smart assistant was incredibly responsive. I felt right at home. This is definitely my top choice for accommodation and highly recommended – excellent value for money!

GGuest UserWe stayed one night at Jinshanling Hanting B&B, and the location couldn’t be better—just a short walk from the Great Wall. It’s the perfect spot to catch both sunrise and sunset; the wall opened at 5 a.m. when we visited in early November. Breakfast was included, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We’d definitely recommend staying overnight for the better light and calmer atmosphere instead of doing a day trip. There’s also a great café nearby. To find the place: walk to the entrance gate, turn right, and it’s on the right side after about 30–50 meters.

Service was good they told us about some tours they offer discounts on and a cool show about an emperor that has like 300 actors in it. Was cheaper than just buying it at the location
I booked this because my wife said it was more “central” it was not. Kind of in the middle of nowhere tho near a temple we did visit. The other hotels are near the river and you can walk and see some real nice bridges and lighted up streets.
The photos make the building look really cool. While the photos aren’t fake it’s way smaller than I thought it would be.
The room itself was kind of small. Like half the size of the phoenix hotel and is only 4 floors so not much of a view. Mine was of a parking lot.
Bathroom was nice the toilet was automatic and had a heated seat.
No breakfast. Bed wasn’t all that comfortable and not much of a view. Did have a shopping center next door and taxis stopped near it.
Kind of pricey but that was because of the 7 day holiday they had. I stayed at phoenix the week before and it was 200 rnb cheaper, nicer, more modern, twice the size, nicer shampoo/soap and had free breakfast.

GGuest UserLocation: Relatively superior. There is a river in front of the hotel, which is said to be the mother river of Chengde. It is very beautiful to take a walk at night and enjoy the night view. It's easy to walk to the summer resort. There is a supermarket next to it and a restaurant in the hotel. I eat three meals a day in the hotel. The dishes are rich and the prices are acceptable. I highly recommend it.
Service: The smiling service at the front desk was very friendly and enthusiastic. The Chengde travel guide was clearly explained. If you don’t know the guide, just ask them directly. I told them the wifi password and phone number, and if I have anything to talk to the front desk.
Room: Very clean, the quilt smells like sunshine, the bed is comfortable, I slept until dawn
Parking: There is a parking lot and a responsible security guard.
Environment: The hall is very elegant, beautiful, quiet and comfortable. It is really good to listen to piano music in the lounge hall.
Overall: I am very satisfied with my stay. I will stay here again next time. I recommend it.

IIkkyuSojunThe hotel's location is pretty good, and the surroundings are very quiet. It's only about a 19-minute drive to Jinshanling Great Wall. However, the Jinshanling exit on the G45 Beijing-Chengde Expressway is closed, so you have to take a detour.
When there are fewer guests, breakfast is served individually with generous portions. When it's busy, they open a buffet with a wider variety of options.
The room was spacious, great for families. But there were a lot of ladybugs (or 'stink bugs' as some call them) that somehow got into the room; we had to clear them out as soon as we checked in.
The bathroom drain was clogged, so the facilities definitely need some maintenance. It's probably okay for a 1-2 night stay.

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is excellent, and the rooms are comfortable. We had both breakfast and dinner at the hotel, and they were quite good. After checking in and resting up, we hiked the Great Wall after 3 PM. We didn't take the cable car at all. It's about a 20-minute walk from the hotel to Zhuanduokou, and we took our time enjoying the scenery. The path down from Houchuankou has stairs. We'll definitely stay here again next time we visit Jinshanling!
