Sijishan Resort

A 10-minute drive from Jinshanling Great Wall. It was a bit dark on the way there at night, but the road conditions were fine. The room was great, and the ground floor had a lot of character. There's a small courtyard outside the door and free parking.

The wooden chairs were uncomfortable and Chinese-style, covered with bamboo mats. The area under the mats was very dirty and didn't match the room's aesthetic. Overall, the hotel room was still good. You can see the mountains right outside. The amenities are also great, and it's very close to Jinshanling, where you can watch stunning sunrises and sunsets.

This is my second time staying at this hotel, and the environment is as quiet and beautiful as ever. The facilities are complete, the rooms are clean and hygienic, and the breakfast offers a rich and delicious variety. The staff are also incredibly warm and attentive. The surrounding scenery is breathtaking, and you can even spot many cute little animals. I'll most likely be back to stay again~!

The hotel's location is pretty good, and the surroundings are very quiet. It's only about a 19-minute drive to Jinshanling Great Wall. However, the Jinshanling exit on the G45 Beijing-Chengde Expressway is closed, so you have to take a detour. When there are fewer guests, breakfast is served individually with generous portions. When it's busy, they open a buffet with a wider variety of options. The room was spacious, great for families. But there were a lot of ladybugs (or 'stink bugs' as some call them) that somehow got into the room; we had to clear them out as soon as we checked in. The bathroom drain was clogged, so the facilities definitely need some maintenance. It's probably okay for a 1-2 night stay.

The room was okay, and the environment was nice, but the service was really poor. Each room only had one toothbrush, and there was no phone in the room, so I couldn't contact the front desk. The staff member collecting tickets at the buffet breakfast entrance was rude and unpleasant. Plus, the breakfast selection was limited and the taste was just average.

The light in the bedroom was broken, and the showerhead in the bathroom was leaking. One room also didn't have a clothes rack. Overall, it was an average experience. I hope the hotel can improve, and I look forward to a perfect stay next time.
