"This hotel's setting is truly one-of-a-kind! No other hotel in Chengde can compare, simply because it's part of the Mountain Resort itself. Staying in a royal garden is an absolutely special experience. There are several deer roaming freely on the hotel grounds, and they're very friendly. We visited during the off-season of the off-season, and there were no more than 5-6 guests in the entire hotel, yet the breakfast was still meticulously prepared. The ladies at the front desk were always smiling and ready to answer any questions. We even got a complimentary Qing Dynasty costume experience! Honestly, you could easily spend a whole day just enjoying the hotel itself. If I were to truly review it, I probably couldn't finish in 1000 words. Thanks again to all the staff for their warm hospitality! Oh, I almost forgot, the hotel has a tabby cat named 'Batia' who acts as a guide! It led us around to various photo spots. "The service here is excellent, and the staff are incredibly warm and attentive. Although some rooms are a bit small, they promptly helped us switch to a larger, more comfortable room after we spoke with customer service. When we mentioned the shower water temperature wasn't quite right, they immediately adjusted it for us and even proactively arranged an additional room, showing great efficiency in problem-solving. Given the price, the facilities are practical rather than luxurious, but the rooms are clean and tidy, making for a very pleasant stay overall. Any issues we had were resolved quickly, and the hotel's location is fantastic for easy travel. I'm very satisfied and would definitely recommend it!"

"The room was spacious and bright with a mountain view. The service attitude was exceptionally good. This is my second time staying at this hotel. I also stayed here in 2022 when I visited Chengde. Originally, I was just passing through and could have chosen accommodation in another city, but I remembered my previous positive experience here with the great service and room type, so I decided to stay again. It didn't disappoint me at all! The service was still as thoughtful as ever, and the staff's attitude still made me feel right at home!"

"Stayed over for one night at the Hilton Garden Inn hotel at Chengde. The entrance to the hotel was congested with cars. The parking attendance in front of the hotel wasn't really helpful when my driver dropped us off to check in to the hotel. What he cares was just faster unload and removed the car form that area. He offered no help at all. I was not sure if the parking attendance was employed by the Hilton hotel. If yes then the service was really not up par with the Hilton standard for customer service standard. We carried one large luggages and few smaller bags. We have to carry it over few flights of stairs to get in to the hotel entrance. The sliding path to get into the hotel entrance was not located in front of the hotel entrance but was hidden at the side that was obscured or partially blocked by the parking car at the front. The reception lady was very friendly though. We were given high floor and she scanned my WeChat to easy contact with the hotel later. The hotel room was very spacious and beautiful but the room was stuffy. Only one tiny small window was able to open a little bit to let the outside air go in. The afternoon temperature was as high as 25 degrees Celcius and rather HOT inside the room. We cannot adjust the aircon in the room as it is central setting! Called to the reception to ask why the room air con can't be adjusted and it seems not working but was told it is central setting. Well, you paid a lots to stay at the hotel without proper ventilation but to rely on the outside air to go in the tiny window. Despite the hotel facility was complete but we still cannot really enjoy and sleep comfortably as we felt HOT. The hotel separates the bathroom from toilet. The washing basin was outside of the bathroom. The breakfast was good with lots of variety. After checking out, I realised I might have left my traveller adaptor in the room. Immediately Isent a text to the hotel via WeChat but to my disappointment, it took two days for them to reply my message asking me to self contact the front desk counter to ask yourself?! What kind of service of that??? Asking hotel guest to add them on WeChat but still asking us to self call the front desk? Not all tourists will have local Sim card to make phone call. That is really a disappointment. They should have offered a better service by checking with the front desk counter and then get back to us via WeChat. This Hilton is definitely still a long way to go to achieve better rating. The hotel is closed to q night market that offers lots of street foods. There was one food stall that offer very palatable Chu Cheong fun. The experience was not pleasant for my one night stay."

"The hotel's location is superb, making it incredibly convenient to reach all attractions. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming! Breakfast offered a rich variety and superb quality. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was also fantastic; the food was wonderfully cooked and delicious. Even as a Southerner, I found the flavors perfectly to my liking! The cleanliness was also impeccable. This hotel is undoubtedly the top choice when visiting Chengde, and its number one ranking is absolutely justified!"

"My friends and I really enjoyed our stay here! The hotel was centrally located and nearby many restaurants, supermarkets, and stores. We had breakfast every morning at the 4th floor - no coffee but a fair amount of choices for food (all Chinese). The lady in charge of the breakfast area was also very helpful. We received a room upgrade which we really appreciated 😄 The room was very spacious with a separate toilet and shower, perfect for groups. Amenities include shampoo and shower gel, plus toothbrushes and disposable towels which were replenished every day. We found the place clean with no weird smells. Overall would highly recommend for travelers on a budget ☺️"

"Hotel is grand and new. Rooms are big and clean. Buffet breakfast has a lot of varieties and some menus change everyday. Staffs there are professional, nice and polite. Hotel also provide free entry couple to the spa wellness club adjoining to the hotel. We really enjoy the hotel services and facilities during the 4 days stay. We definitely will stay st this hotel if coming to chengde again. Strongly recommended!"

"Hotel reception is friendly.Room is spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast offer lot of variety. Do not have much time to enjoy the hotel facilities. Supposed to reach hotel by about 6pm by high speed train. Ticket fully sold out. End up have to travel from Beijing to home by taxi. Took almost 5 hrs to reach due to heavy rain."
