Guests may glide along Pingjiang River by gondola, listening to the soft melodies of Pingtan, and experience firsthand the living waterside elegance of a Jiangnan where "upon arriving in Suzhou, you find homes reclining against the tranquil shores."

"I'm always touched by the genuine warmth and enthusiasm of Atour's front desk staff, even strangers. Today, while checking in for my trip to Suzhou, I couldn't hold back my tears at the front desk. Afraid of being heard or seen, I pulled my cap down low. When I looked up, I saw a face that looked like Luhan. He silently handed me tissues. Once I composed myself, he gave me a bottle of water and a piece of candy. I can't quite describe the feeling, but thank you, Luhan-lookalike stranger (Huahai) at the front desk. You brought warmth to my particularly sad and helpless day. I hope you, too, are treated with kindness."

Great artistry can appear simple and unassuming; it was a pleasure to visit Suzhou. Upon encountering Jiangnan, year after year. Hidden in a secluded corner of Jiangnan on Qianqian Street, amidst the hustle and bustle, there is tranquility. Step through the door to find the gentle charm of whitewashed walls and tiled roofs. Take a step further to experience Qianqian Street, the vibrant atmosphere of Pingjiang Road, the pavilions and towers of Zhuozheng Garden, and the elegance of the Suzhou Museum. There’s no need to rush; simply enjoy a leisurely journey. This place is devoid of pretension; it adheres to its true essence. The wooden structures, infused with the soft breezes and starlit skies of Jiangnan, combine the convenience of smart bathroom fixtures with the poetic charm of traditional soft furnishings. Large latex mattresses and comfortable pillows ensure a restful sleep, with the soft tones of Wu dialect echoing during wakefulness and the scent of alleyway tea lingering in the air. Fully automated guest control, large screen displays, tranquility amidst the chaos—we welcome guests with simplicity and sincerity. 24-hour butler service, handwritten guides to Suzhou, authentic Suzhou ambiance prepared for each stay—every moment spent here is a beautiful encounter with Jiangnan. Come to Zhuozheng, meet Suzhou, find companions, and discover your heart’s destination in Jiangnan.

"We booked Jouyu last minute for a two-day trip to Suzhou, mainly to visit the Lotus Market. Our main criteria were convenient parking, a location near the commercial district, and a relatively new property. To our pleasant surprise, from the moment we checked in, we could feel the owner's meticulous management. After checking in, a staff member personally escorted us to our room. In the elevator, they informed us about the locations of the washing machine/dryer, refrigerator, and terrace. They even thoughtfully provided ice to help guests cool down in the summer. The room was fully smart, compact, clean, and well-maintained, with all amenities provided. The bedding was comfortable and spotless, the air conditioning was powerful, and the projector screen was massive. Since it was raining today, we decided to stay in and comfortably watch movies instead of going out to tourist spots. The inn is surrounded by Suzhou's busiest commercial street, making it incredibly convenient for exploring. They even contacted us in advance to ask about our travel arrangements and thoughtfully advised us on parking. They offer 24/7 assistance for any questions. The stay was comfortable, the service was excellent, and the location was superb!"

"Every detail at this hotel was meticulously thought out, and my overall experience during this stay was incredibly satisfying! The location is superb, within walking distance to many attractions, and there are subway entrances right outside both to the left and right, making getting around and shopping very convenient. The hotel boasts a high-end design, the rooms are clean and tidy, the bedding is comfortable, and there's a good variety of pillows. The front desk staff were prompt in their service. The breakfast spread was extensive, and the food tasted great – the fact that the tea-boiled eggs were dried off was a pleasant surprise. The facilities are well-maintained, making for a very comfortable stay overall. This is my top choice when visiting Suzhou, highly recommended!"

"Booked a family room, the mattress was very comfortable – just the right firmness. The location is excellent, right on Guanqian Street, and the subway entrance is just outside. My only minor complaint was that the watermelon at breakfast had some small fruit flies on it, probably due to the hot weather. This should definitely be improved. Since it was so hot, I didn't feel like going out, so I ordered various takeaways to the room, and the robot delivery was super convenient."

"Great hotel! The location is perfect, right on Guanqian Street and within walking distance to many attractions like Pingjiang Road. We even biked back from Shantang Street in about 15-16 minutes, which was very convenient as taking a taxi can get stuck in traffic. The hotel environment is also very good. We didn't book breakfast initially, but the staff gave us a discount, making it a great deal. We added breakfast for three days, and it was quite good – perfect for fueling up before a day of sightseeing. In the evenings, they offer late-night congee, and having some congee with osmanthus cakes and mini buns was very comforting. The hotel service was excellent too. If I get the chance to visit again, I'll definitely book here!"

Suzhou is a city shaped by serene gardens and earthly alley charm. Nestled on the fifth floor of No.1543 Renmin Road in Gusu District, Yueting Hotel sits at the heart of the ancient city, secluded yet accessible amid bustling streets, embracing a tranquil elegance of its own. Bordering the lively Guanqian Street and standing close to the Humble Administrator’s Garden, it places the bluestone alleys of Pingjiang Road and the minimalist aesthetics of Suzhou Museum within easy walking distance, wrapping guests in an endless realm of Jiangnan poetry. Inheriting grace from the jade moon and repose from the waterside pavilion, the hotel embodies the exclusive tenderness of Jiangnan. Stripping away the noise of urban triviality, its space blends traditional Suzhou gentleness with modern subtle elegance. Soft light lingers across delicate textures, free of redundant ornamentation, only leaving a peaceful and soothing dwelling atmosphere. One may embrace the mortal warmth of the ancient city by the window, or immerse oneself in pure tranquility indoors, harboring the mild charm of Suzhou in every corner of the space. Come to pursue a dream of old Suzhou, and dwell in a tender stretch of time. Wander through limpid garden waters and admire layered pavilions by day; stroll amid twinkling street lights and listen to the gentle night breeze of the ancient town after dusk. With elegance as its pillow and tenderness as its tone, Yueting Hotel offers travelers a soothing poetic residence hidden in the bustling heart of Jiangnan.

"Here's an objective and factual review: First, the pros: 1. Staying in Suzhou's old town for just over 200 RMB a night on a weekend is incredibly good value. The hotel is very close to Chayuanchang Metro and bus stations. It's a 10-minute metro ride to Suzhou Railway Station, and you can take bus 262 directly to Humble Administrator's Garden and Suzhou Museum in about 10 minutes. The location is a huge advantage. 2. Being a newly renovated hotel, the room facilities are very new and equipped with smart technology. You can control things with Xiao Du voice commands, which is a great experience. 3. The mattress and pillows are very comfortable – a blessing for anyone with neck or back issues. Now, the cons: 1. At first glance, the room looks cozy and pretty, but on closer inspection, it's full of hygiene blind spots. An unused disposable paper cup had an eyelash in it, and the paper cup cover was stained, likely not changed in a long time. Even after we asked for new cups the next day, the cup cover remained the old, stained one. The first tissue pulled from the tissue box had a stain on it. The towels also had some small yellow stains, I'm not sure if they were inherent or if the towels weren't washed properly. There was a lot of dust on the floor and in the crevices of the cabinets, indicating it wasn't cleaned thoroughly. 2. The hotel is located behind a wet market, which felt a bit intimidating when arriving late at night. Three hotels share two elevators, and there's no key card access, making the environment feel a bit chaotic and unsafe. Initially, I thought about changing hotels, but after looking at reviews for other higher-end hotels in Suzhou, it seemed the hygiene situation might be similar, with common issues across the board. For this price, it's somewhat acceptable. If you're traveling with children, I'd recommend booking something a bit nicer."

"Coming from Suzhou Railway Station, we took a boat directly to Beimatou (North Pier). The hotel was just a few minutes' walk from where we disembarked. It's located right by the river, offering beautiful views. The room was clean and tidy, and the staff, especially a young lady, was incredibly warm and kind. The recommended car rental service worked out perfectly. The hotel is very close to Shantang Street, just a ten-minute walk away, and also near Taohuawu. The room had a fridge with complimentary cold drinks, a freshly ground coffee machine, and snacks, plus a washing machine and an iron – absolutely perfect! They even gave us a fridge magnet when we checked out. Our stay was fantastic, and we'd definitely come back here if we have the chance."
