We had a wonderful 2 nights in this family-run hotel. The host was extremely kind, friendly and helpful; he made us feel completely at home, and even gave us two delicious homemade ‘lard cakes’ to take with us because we’d enjoyed them so much at breakfast one morning! The rooms are lovely - spacious, very light, bright and private. Really nice interior design. Ours was on the top floor with a roof top deck and great views over the lake and village. The bed was very comfortable with fresh, clean linen and towels. There’s a kettle on the room but you need to bring your own tea or coffee. That said, tea and hot water were available 24-hours a day downstairs. The meals in the hotel restaurant were delicious and fresh; they’re cooked onsite with ingredients that are caught or grown on the island, and are very good value. We ate breakfast (included) both mornings and dinner on our first night. We felt very welcome and would definitely stay here again if we came back. The main thing to note is that the host (and very few people on the island) speak English, so having some Chinese definitely helps! But we felt very welcome at all times, even when our language skills reached their limits!

Hidden away in the beautiful West Taihu Lake is a stunning guesthouse! Surrounded by the lake on three sides and backed by mountains, it's built right by the water, offering direct views of Taihu Lake. The overall design is bright and pristine white, blending diverse elements like Chinese and French styles, earning it the nickname ”Suzhou's Santorini.” The scenery is absolutely breathtaking, with gorgeous sunsets. The service is warm and friendly, and the facilities are top-notch. Each room boasts enormous 180-degree lake view floor-to-ceiling windows, electric blinds, electric screens, sound systems, private projection cinemas, smart toilets, lake-facing bathtubs, and high-quality toiletries. In summer, you can enjoy the outdoor pool, and there's even a 'Sky Realm' on the rooftop! Public facilities like the gym and mahjong room are also fully equipped! It's a one-stop destination for fun! If you're visiting Taihu Lake, this place is a must-try.

The environment is great, too suitable for vacation rest, quiet but not remote, wide view, facing the beautiful Taihu Lake. The room is very large and spacious, more beautiful and comfortable than the photos, especially worth mentioning is super clean and the supplies are soft and fragrant. Breakfast is also a surprise, morning, lakeside, summer breeze, a healthy and delicious breakfast, really enjoy Stay here next time!

Even though the weather was uncooperative, with endless rain dampening our spirits a bit, the service at Elegant QinChuan Residence still made me feel right at home. From a warm cup of tea upon arrival to a friendly greeting when leaving, and even quick solutions for minor issues, everyone at the hotel tried their best to help. A special shout-out to Dong Lamei at the front desk – not only did she upgrade our room and send welcome fruit for me and my child, but she also thoughtfully prepared contingency plans for a temporary power outage due to line maintenance, anticipating potential inconvenience for guests.

Highly recommend Suzhou Shushan Shuxiang Shijia for families with kids! The tatami room we booked turned into a little playground for our baby. With three beds pushed together, we didn't have to worry about the little one rolling off, and there was plenty of space for three adults and two kids to sleep comfortably. The hot springs were incredibly relaxing for both adults and children. Soaking in the various herbal pools left us feeling completely refreshed. The kids' water park was an absolute 'energy-burner' – our little one played there from afternoon until evening! The fish spa had them giggling non-stop as the tiny fish nibbled at their feet. Adults could take turns playing without getting tired. We're definitely planning to come back for a few more days in the crisp autumn weather to explore the Shushan plank road. P.S. It's the season for Cuiguan pears right now! There are pear orchards nearby and stalls selling pears all along the road. Cuiguan pears are incredibly juicy and have a wonderfully sweet, refreshing taste. We even took a whole box home with us!

Banyan Tree, as always, is wonderfully secluded and comfortable! The butler, a lovely lady, upgraded our room again. And we even ran into Alice Xiaoxiao, the butler who assisted us during our stay last year – it was great to see her again! She proactively reached out before check-in to ask about our needs and was incredibly responsive to all our requests. The concierge service upon arrival was also very thoughtful. The courtyards, lush greenery, and water features are beautifully designed, offering a new picturesque view at every turn. The views from our room were truly refreshing and invigorating! Kids' toiletries were fully stocked, and the complimentary soft drinks were of good quality, not just an afterthought. The hotel also offers free activities like Baduanjin (a traditional Chinese exercise), cocktail making, and night runs! Overall, a very satisfying stay! Excellent value for money! **Dining:** The hotel's Baiyun Restaurant is also fantastic. Even though dinner was a set menu from a group deal, every dish was surprisingly delicious! It's a perfect alternative to the Rongsheng Restaurant next door, where you often have to queue for two hours if you don't want to wait. They've changed breakfast to a mostly buffet style, which can sometimes mean colder food with a less-than-ideal texture. However, they still offer à la carte service upon request, which is great! And the champagne was delicious! **Activities:** This trip, we came specifically to climb Lion Mountain, and we successfully reached the summit – the entire scenic area is very thoughtfully developed! Safety measures are also very well implemented! Whether looking out from the mountain or gazing at it from the hotel, it's a view within a view – perfect for photos! There are several well-designed buildings nearby, like museums and science centers, all within walking distance. The hotel key card provides direct access to Lion Mountain Park, and in the evening, they even offer transportation for a golf course tour. The park has added more activities since last year, including a mini-train, cycling, and boating. This year, we even tried kayaking – so much fun! We'll definitely be back next year! Our sincere thanks to Alice Xiaoxiao, our butler, who made our first stay enjoyable and our second even more comfortable. Also, a big shout-out to the handsome concierge who helped with our luggage! The auntie providing turn-down service gave our child small gifts and drinks, and the three lovely ladies at the bar patiently taught us cocktail making… All the hotel staff made us feel so warm and welcome. Looking forward to our next stay!

Marriott is still Marriott – a grand lobby, extensive breakfast, excellent location, and professional customer service. However, the Suzhou Marriott feels a bit off; objectively speaking, the facilities are indeed aging. The package included a whole bunch of activities, even listing a tiny carousel... just for the 'experience.' While the customer service ladies were all very gentle, there were still many bugs during the service process. I was quite anxious before my trip, especially with Typhoon White Dolphin being so severe. It's really fortunate that we had good weather throughout our stay.

The company rented four villas from them for team building. The overall feeling was very good. The environment was great and it was relatively large. The entrance was a bit hard to find, but there were winding paths leading to secluded places. The villa was a single-family house and the interior was well decorated in a Chinese style. There are quite a lot of entertainment facilities and the place is large. The overall evaluation is good. It is suitable for a family trip. It is a short drive to Luxiang Ancient Village and not far from Sanshan Island and Diaohua Building. The boss is nice, the room is clean, I want to stay here again next time. My family went to Luxiang Ancient Village and stayed here. The housekeeper was very enthusiastic. Even if we didn't go to Dongping to play, this place is pretty good. There are complete entertainment facilities such as KTV, mahjong, table tennis, etc. There are currently 3 courtyards in it, all of which are very good. Next time you can come and experience a very happy trip to Dongshan! What impressed me most about this party was the enthusiasm and warmth of the butler. As soon as I walked in, I felt like I was at home. It was very cozy and the service was attentive! The place is cleaned very well, toiletries are provided, and there is a logo printed on it. It's obvious that the landlord is very dedicated to his business, haha! I had a relaxing and enjoyable whole day and took a lot of photos. It was a heartwarming holiday experience. A friend came to travel with his wife and children. He booked a villa the day before arriving in Dongshan. On the one hand, the children could have fun playing games, and on the other hand, the adults could buy groceries, cook a meal and drink some wine. The housekeeper is very helpful and does everything himself. The transportation is very convenient and it is a short drive to Luxiang Ancient Village. My friend’s wife was taking care of the children and couldn’t help, otherwise she would have had a lot of fun playing mahjong. recommend! ! ! A perfect last-minute order, much better than expected!

I was upgraded to a room on the 2nd floor with a beautiful view. What really blew me away was the hotel lobby – the design aesthetics are just incredible, absolutely stunning! The whole hotel is filled with lush greenery, giving you a real vacation vibe. The breakfast was Western style, not really to my taste, but the environment was definitely amazing. The food near the hotel, especially the chicken wontons, was surprisingly good – I'll definitely be having them again next time! The service was also great, and they even have a shuttle bus.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Suzhou Xunyi Holiday B&B, and I must say it was an incredible experience. Exceptional Hosts: The hosts, whom I had the pleasure of meeting, are truly remarkable. Their passion for hospitality shines through in every aspect of the B&B. They are attentive, friendly, and genuinely care about their guests’ well-being. Affordable Green Tea: I appreciated the thoughtful touch of having green tea available at a fair price. It’s a small detail, but it made my stay even more enjoyable. In summary, Suzhou Xunyi Holiday B&B is a gem.
