Decided to treat myself to a relaxing weekend getaway and headed to Jiaoweichang to enjoy the sea views 🌊. Waking up to a full panoramic view of the ocean right from my bed was incredibly soothing and therapeutic. 🏠 I chose this beachfront villa, located right on the first row of Jiaoweichang. It offered unobstructed sea views, meaning I could watch the ocean and sunrise 🌊 without even leaving my room. Perfect for a lazy summer escape! It's also super convenient, with the beach right outside and plenty of dining options nearby. 🛋️ The suite itself was very spacious, featuring two floor-to-ceiling windows. From one window, I could enjoy the sea view directly from my bed, and there's also a private hot spring tub 🛁 where I could soak while gazing at the ocean – truly delightful. The other window overlooked a beautiful view of the mountains and city, with a tatami area perfect for enjoying tea 🖼️, which offered a unique charm. The room facilities and cleanliness were top-notch. They even provided a coffee bar, snacks, drinks, and a sleep kit with a steam eye mask, making for a very comfortable stay. Every spot here is picture-perfect 🖼️, from the 'Sky Mirror' to the private ocean-view hot spring and the swimming pool... every corner feels designed for photography, and any shot you take turns out amazing. It's ideal for family trips, couples, or solo travelers looking to unwind. Plus, the guesthouse offers a travel photography service, so even if you're traveling alone, you don't have to worry about getting great photos. STAFF APPRECIATION: Simply wonderful. I encountered many staff members during my stay, working in the hotel itself, the various cafes and restaurants, and on the beach. Every single one was professional and kind and so very warm. Several of the young people working there also spoke English, which was an unexpected pleasure and convenience for which I was grateful. However, I owe a special thanks to the lovely little sisters at the front desk, Catie and Xiao Kue. Especially Catie. This sweet young woman took exceptional care of me during my stay, seeing to every need, answering every question (in English, no less), and patiently guiding my drivers to the location when I arrived or chose to go out and explore. I am getting older now and often require clear instructions and visual aids. 😅 She kindly offered both. 非常感谢。🙏 HOTEL REVIEW: There are multiple warnings given before and during the stay about ongoing construction next door, but it had minimal impact on my stay and, if you're out exploring and playing, you won't even notice it by the time you return in the evening. As promised, it started at breakfast time and concluded by 6pm in the evening around dinner time every day. I choose this hotel deliberately because, while a little more expensive than its competitors and a bit off the beaten path, it seemed to offer more convenience and privacy. I was so relieved to see that this was true. Their beach is small, but well-maintained and private, which meant no crowd and plenty of opportunity to take people-free pictures and simply sit and enjoy the sights and sounds of the sea. There was also no shortage of dining options on the resort itself as well as nearby. Several fun, beautiful places to visit are also located a short drive away. However, if you're looking for a retreat, a place to simply rest and be close to nature, away from crowds, this place offers that as well. It was a welcome respite. I saw couple, families with children, and even a few other foreign guests all enjoying their time here. 🏖 Because I was on a budget this time, I chose the lowest priced room and was prepared to sacrifice my view of the sea. Unexpectedly, I didn't have to. This was a very happy surprise. ☺️ Though, I'll definitely try and splurge on a room on a higher floor next time as being near the entrance could sometimes be a little loud when guests arrived. Overall, I am completely satisfied with my time here and hope to return someday. TLDR; Wonderful, attentive staff; private, convenient location; stunning views; and several dining options all offer a very pleasant, worry-free getaway during peak season. Well worth the price and the journey. Every kind of traveler will find something to enjoy here.

I stayed here for two nights, and honestly, this is the best hotel I've ever stayed in! The whole room is fully equipped with smart facilities, and the service is five-star. The front desk staff, both the ladies and gentlemen, are all incredibly good-looking! Haha, and they are so thoughtful and attentive; they even remembered everything I mentioned before check-in. Even the housekeeping staff provide service with a smile. It's very close to the beach, just a 1-2 minute walk, which is super convenient. The hotel facilities are all brand new, and the butler service is available 24/7, always ready when you call. The hotel also has an infinity pool, which is absolutely amazing for photos! Highly, highly recommend!!!

The hotel stay and dining were absolutely fantastic. The food was incredibly affordable, like a budget-friendly local eatery, and the seafood prices were much better than outside restaurants. Both the Chinese and Western dishes were delicious. The accommodation was very quiet, and no one disturbed us during our stay. Upon arrival at the parking lot, the butler helped with parking and charging, and the welcome fruit was also very tasty. After checking in, I couldn't stop recommending it to family and friends. The only downsides were the many stairs to climb, and the shuttle bus only dropped off at the Phase 2 entrance. Also, when the balcony window was opened, there was a strange smell.

Future Hotel Shenzhen Review (December 2025) Overall Rating: 3.5/5 stars Decent budget option for a short stay in Shenzhen, but falls short of expectations, especially if you’re hoping for a truly “new” hotel experience. Location: 4/5 The hotel is conveniently located right next to a pleasant park, perfect for a quick walk or some fresh air. It’s also just a 5-minute stroll to the nearest subway station, making it easy to get around Shenzhen without needing taxis everywhere. Great for travelers relying on public transport. First Impressions and Facilities: 2/5 Advertised as a newly opened hotel, but by late 2025, it didn’t feel fresh or modern at all. The lobby is unusually located on the 7th floor, accessed via an elevator that’s just beside a larger neighboring hotel. The lift area felt dim and outdated compared to the brighter, more upscale vibe of the bigger property nearby. The lobby itself is compact, dimly lit, and lacks any welcoming or luxurious atmosphere—more functional than inviting. Room: 4/5 The room size was surprisingly generous for the price point in Shenzhen, where space often comes at a premium. It was very clean overall, with a large, comfortable bed topped with four plush pillows, perfect for a good night’s sleep. The big flat-screen TV was a nice touch, and the bathroom was decently sized with a good shower and separate toilet area. No complaints on comfort here. Service and Issues: 3/5 The major downside was a frustrating check-in experience. Using the hotel’s systems, the receptionist assigned me to a room that hadn’t been cleaned yet, it still reeked strongly of cigarette smoke and clearly wasn’t ready. I had to trek back down to the lobby (7th floor elevator and all) to get a new key and room assignment. This kind of mix-up feels avoidable and soured the arrival. Final Thoughts Nothing particularly stands out or excels at Future Hotel Shenzhen—it’s serviceable and clean in the rooms, with a solid location and value for money, but the dark, dated common areas, misleading “newly opened” vibe, and the room assignment error make it underwhelming. I wouldn’t skip Shenzhen altogether, but I’d definitely choose a different hotel next time I’m in the city. Suitable if you’re on a tight budget and prioritize location over polish.

Finally checked into the highly anticipated Orange Sea B&B! We originally booked the 'Yulin' room, but after seeing it in person, we felt it was a bit too small. The hotel staff quickly and graciously upgraded us to a larger room for free. The natural light was excellent, and the room was meticulously clean. Lying on the balcony's lounge chair, you can gaze out at the sea, which was incredibly relaxing. The butler service was exceptionally warm and attentive; our entire stay was comfortable, and any requests were promptly addressed with great attention to detail. The beach is within walking distance. Since we stayed in building 40, it felt a little circuitous if you're not familiar with the layout. However, sitting by the sea, enjoying the breeze, and watching the sunset, shedding the city's fatigue, was also very pleasant. The 'Fisherman's Lights' restaurant was quite good; you can enjoy delicious food while admiring the sea view. The weather this summer has been unpredictable, so be sure to check the forecast before heading out, or your experience might not be as good as expected. Wishing everyone a pleasant journey!

This business trip, I stayed at The St. Regis Shenzhen. The location is quite convenient, right next to a shopping mall, which made getting around and handling business easy. The hotel is on a high floor, offering great city views. The room was well-maintained, the bedding was comfortable, and there were plenty of power outlets for work, which was very convenient. The staff were excellent, striking a good balance and responding quickly to any requests. Breakfast offered a wide variety, including Cantonese noodles and dim sum, as well as decent Western options. The dining environment on a high floor was pleasant, and plates were cleared promptly. Overall, my stay was very reassuring, and it's a solid choice for business travel.

This place deserves special praise. The hygiene standards far exceeded expectations, and the entire apartment was meticulously cleaned to leave not a speck of dust behind. The rooms were fully equipped and brand-new, and the audio-visual equipment provided a great experience. The staff were extremely attentive throughout the stay, arranging convenient pick-up and drop-off services at the port. The air conditioning and WiFi worked perfectly. It’s just a short walk from the East Gate business district, offering everything you need for travel, dining, and entertainment. It’s highly recommended for friends visiting Shenzhen.

After comparing many hotels, I chose this one and it was definitely the right decision. The hotel is located right next to the planetarium, and a 8-minute walk downstairs will take you to Beach #2. There's a convenience store and restaurant right next to the building. The room isn't small, it's clean and tidy, and the bathroom even has a smart toilet. The disposable amenities were also of very good quality. It's only an 8-minute drive to the observatory, and there are no other buildings beyond that, making the rooftop perfect for stargazing. The front desk staff were also very friendly and even helped with our luggage. It was a very pleasant stay.

My stay at the Shenzhen Fu Lin Hotel was excellent. The hotel boasts a prime location right next to Luohu Port and Shenzhen Railway Station, making cross-border travel and train journeys incredibly convenient. With a well-developed transportation network nearby, it's a hassle-free choice for both commuting and sightseeing. The hotel itself is grand and impressive, exuding the classic charm of an established star-rated hotel. The lobby is spacious and bright, and all public areas are clean and tidy. The front desk staff were gentle and polite, handling check-in and check-out procedures quickly and smoothly. They were also patient and thorough in answering any questions, providing thoughtful and attentive service. I stayed in a Superior King Room, which was spacious and impeccably clean, with excellent attention to detail in hygiene. The room had great natural light, and the bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. All in-room amenities were complete and well-maintained; the bathroom had consistent water pressure, and the Wi-Fi was fast. Standing by the window, I enjoyed a pleasant city view. The hotel also offers dining and leisure areas, making daily life convenient during my stay. For a hotel located so close to the border, the value for money in this area is outstanding. It saves a lot of time and effort for travel, making it perfect for both business trips and commutes to and from Hong Kong. I will definitely choose this hotel again when I visit Luohu next time.
