Romantic Hotels in Shenzhen

First off, the check-in time was indeed quite long, but it's understandable given it was peak summer season. They even offered drinks while we waited, which was a nice touch! As an InterContinental member, I also received two complimentary drinks at the bar. The hotel's facilities are excellent. I went for a spa treatment while my child and husband went swimming – a perfect arrangement. As soon as I finished my spa, the butler notified me that our room key was ready! There was also a welcome fruit platter in the room. The room's view was absolutely unbeatable! We truly felt at home and enjoyed every moment. However, I actually found the breakfast to be even better than the dinner buffet. The oil-splashed noodles at breakfast were delicious 😋, and the chef who made them had such character, clearly demonstrating his passion for food. I really admire him! Thumbs up to him! 👍 For dinner, the seafood wasn't very fresh; the oysters and crab meat were quite loose. Plus, on the second night, we wanted to try the Southeast Asian restaurant, but upon arrival, many dishes were unavailable, which was a bit disappointing, so we left to eat elsewhere. Also, the restaurant closes at 9:30 PM. Overall, having stayed at this hotel over 10 years ago, returning now with my child, I still highly recommend it! The pool and beach are amazing, offering great privacy for guests! We will definitely be back 😊

I specifically chose a weekday during the off-season to experience this place, as the reviews I saw online seemed quite positive. This guesthouse is located at the foot of Qiniang Mountain, in a village situated in a low-lying area in the middle of Dapeng Peninsula. The houses in this village are neatly arranged, and this particular guesthouse is nestled in a corner, facing Qiniang Mountain. The surrounding area feels like a traditional village. The interior design of the guesthouse is quite good, and the room facilities are decent, definitely above average for a guesthouse. It's very suitable for family trips. The bedding in my room and the large bay window were both very comfortable. The only minor issue was that the toilet seemed a bit clogged and wasn't flushing smoothly. When I saw it in person, I thought it was pretty good. The price during the off-season was quite reasonable, though it didn't include breakfast. Ordering breakfast separately was expensive, and there wasn't much good food elsewhere in the village. I had to walk quite a distance before finding a肠粉 (rice noodle roll) shop. A big advantage here is the environment, with direct mountain views. The small courtyard downstairs is also beautifully designed, perfect for sitting and enjoying tea or simply relaxing. In the morning, you can also take the convenient mountain path for a hike, and there's a museum nearby that's worth a visit.

Let's be objective. First, the service was genuinely good; my small requests were all met, and the breakfast was decent. They also gave us a 100 RMB dining voucher. Now for the issues: 1. The toilet only has a curtain – who'd feel comfortable using that? 2. The shower is tiny, 0.5x0.5 meters (0.25 sq m), and also just has a curtain. 3. You'd think they're short on space, but then there's a huge open-plan bathtub. 4. The air conditioning was terrible; even at 16 degrees, I was sweating, and the walls kept radiating heat at night. 5. The room is definitely old and needs a renovation. I'd stayed here twice in a sea-view room when it first opened, and it was quite good back then, though the price was higher. Last night, I had dinner and drinks at the adjacent ShanYe restaurant and didn't want to drive, so I took the last available room (besides a family room). Honestly, 600 RMB isn't expensive for the summer, but it's not particularly cheap either. The facilities just don't match the price point. However, walking a bit up the hill this morning, the new MiYue hotel offers the same room type for a similar 600+ RMB, and it felt much better – probably because it's new. Overall, the experience was very mediocre.

It was very convenient staying here with a baby. The beach is right outside, so we didn't have to walk far. When the little one got tired from playing, we could immediately go back to the room to rest. My child was especially happy to see the ocean from the room. We were also satisfied with the environment and cleanliness. The butler service was excellent; they helped us with our luggage and even lent us sand toys.

This time I chose the Marriott Executive Apartments Shenzhen Nanshan for my trip to Shenzhen, and after staying there, I truly felt it was a place that perfectly combined ”hotel convenience + home comfort.” The apartment is located at Building T2, 2039 Baishi Road, OCT Harbour, Nanshan District, nestled within the open-air cultural, tourism, and commercial complex of OCT Harbour. On one side, it's adjacent to the Qushui Bay waterfront street and shopping center, and on the other, it offers water views and lush greenery towards the OCT Wetland and Mangrove Nature Reserve. It's an oasis of tranquility amidst the bustling city. At night, the lights, the lake, and the occasional water show fireworks viewed from the floor-to-ceiling windows of the room are incredibly beautiful, completely unlike the monotonous typical business hotel. First, let's talk about transportation, which is very friendly for independent travelers and families. It's about a 1.1 km walk to Shenzhen Bay Park Metro Station and about 1.2 km to Shenwan Station, making it very convenient to connect to the entire city via Line 9. Taking a taxi to Futian Station is about 7.5 km, Shenzhen North Station just over 14 km, and Bao'an Airport around 26 km. With good traffic, it takes a little over half an hour to reach, and from Shenzhen Bay Port, it's just about ten minutes. If you're driving, the hotel has its own underground parking lot with charging spaces, and the elevator goes directly to the lobby, so hauling luggage with family in tow isn't a struggle. You hardly need to worry about the surrounding amenities. Downstairs, you'll find O'PLAZA OCT Harbour Shopping Center and Qushui Bay Food Street, where you can find everything from coconut chicken and Chaoshan cuisine to coffee, light meals, and an Ole supermarket – a one-stop shop. There are plenty of dining options if you have kids and don't want to venture far. Within walking distance, you can explore the OCT Harbour Water Show Theater and the OCT Happy Ocean Dream; you can also ride a shared bike or stroll two to three kilometers to Shenzhen Bay Park to enjoy the sea breeze and watch the sunset over the mangroves. Window of the World, Happy Valley, and Splendid China are just a fifteen-minute drive away, making it suitable for both friend gatherings and family vacations. The rooms truly embody the ”executive apartment” concept. We stayed in a one-bedroom suite starting at fifty square meters, and two-bedroom suites are 130-140 square meters. The living room, bedroom, open-plan kitchen, and wet/dry separated bathroom are clearly delineated, and there's also a small balcony. The kitchen is fully equipped with an induction cooker, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, and cookware/cutlery, so you can cook a simple meal or reheat takeout just like at home. The washer and dryer combo is a godsend for business travelers; you don't have to accumulate dirty laundry over several days. The bedding is moderately firm, and the soundproofing is good, ensuring a quiet and restful night's sleep. The water pressure and hot water in the bathroom are stable, and a bath in the tub is very relaxing. The public areas are also praiseworthy. On the third floor, connected to the front desk, there's an outdoor swimming pool with clean water and a shallow area for children. Next to it, the gym is open 24 hours, complete with sauna and steam room. The children's club/playground is free for guests to use, and the slides and ball pit are enough to keep kids entertained for half a day. Breakfast is served at the Coast Restaurant, with freshly pulled beef noodles/Lanzhou noodles being a hidden gem. Hot dishes, bread, fruit, and coffee – all the basic options are available, so you can have a full meal even if you have an early start. Service throughout was comfortable. Check-in and check-out at the front desk were quick, and they proactively informed us about the swimming pool, gym, children's facilities, and parking routes. Room service was responsive to calls, arranging extra supplies, a baby crib, and late check-out appropriately, without any coldness or prevarication. The cleaning staff in the public areas were diligent, keeping the elevator lobbies, corridors, and poolside clean. The Marriott standard was consistently evident. In summary: The location is in the golden leisure belt of Shenzhen Bay—OCT Harbour, the rooms are spacious with a kitchen and laundry, suitable for family trips, a few friends, or long-term business travel. Downstairs, you have dining and entertainment options, and getting around by metro or taxi is convenient. The service is reliable, public facilities are complete, and the night view is beautiful. Next time I'm in the Shenzhen Bay area for business or bringing my family for a weekend, this will be my first choice.

The hotel is very cozy and atmospheric. It’s like if you live in a private hotel with artistic decor and personal small garden. There are pets on reception and if you love animals you just have a perfect anti stress fluffy companions :) The staff is friendly and tried to help in any questions. Breakfast isn’t served in a usual way but delivered to your room. So it’s a kind of fast food. But you may order by menu in a cafe downstairs. The hotel located a bit distanced from a village but if you like walking, you may pass by am embankment and reach more touristic places. I liked that feeling of privacy with no tourist crowds.

The environment is lovely, nestled in a park, and it's convenient to enter and exit with the complimentary tickets. However, the hotel facilities are a bit old, and it's a bit inconvenient to get to breakfast as you have to walk quite a bit. There aren't many dining options nearby. Overall, it was a decent experience.

I think this hotel is pretty good. The restaurant service is five-star because the food is really delicious. I truly think it's great, perhaps the chef is even Michelin-starred. The service attitude is also excellent because when we were late for breakfast, they prepared a fresh meal for us, which made me feel very warm and welcome. Additionally, the hotel thoughtfully prepares little surprises for guests, which I also really appreciate. If I had to choose, I would definitely stay at this hotel again next time, as their attitude is genuinely wonderful and makes you feel right at home.

The hotel is right on the beach, which was pleasantly uncrowded – just a few people around. The sand was really fine, perfect for some quiet contemplation. The staff were super friendly and accommodating; they'd go out of their way to help. For example, I asked for my breakfast to be delivered later so I could sleep in, and the chef kept it warm in the kitchen until I came down to eat. I also accidentally left some clothes behind, and the cleaning lady found them, and the concierge arranged to have them couriered back to me! Thumbs up! 👍

Besides the slowwr than usual lift, everything is perfect. Location is excellent.. Just 200m from Shenzhen North Station (深圳北站). Plenty of eateries just 600m away which comprise more local stuffs (search for Yushen on your Map). The hotel is actually a SOHO unit (office/home) and is like 90m in size complete with a LOFT, 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Price is reasonable too.
