"I think this hotel is pretty brand new hotel. Every amenities were new one. Hotel employees can speak english. It is very close to Tenmonkandori so comfortable to go anywhere in Kagoshima including the airport"

"Hotel 's located not far from JR Station within walking distance. Reasonable price which can redeem TRIP vouchers / coins. Hotel staff are friendly & helpful. The hotel' s room is bigger than my expectation. As all of us know the size of the hotel room in Japan are not large. Self service for all amenities based on own needed usage. Opposite is a supermarket which operation business until late night."

"There is a onsite parking but you need to pay. The parking is just beside the hotel. This hotel nearby eatery places, walking distance. The hotel is clean and the staff are friendly. I will definitely stay this hotel again if I visit this place :)"

"Gave us the wrong room at first but then upgraded to a better room on 9th floor, which is nice. Washing machine/dryer is fast and very quiet. We liked the induction cooktop, which makes cooking quite enjoyable. You can see Sakurajima while laying on the daybed. Room is new and clean with high quality interior finish and fittings. Overall it's a very pleasant expereice. The only thing that can be improved is guest education. Kids staying upstairs kept jumping on the floor after 10:30pm. There should be signage reminding people to remain quiet at night time."

GGuest UserOur stay at Nanshukan was truly wonderful! The service was exceptional, and we especially loved that our room was on the 7th floor, offering a really excellent view from the terrace. A huge, unexpected highlight was the owner's generosity in providing us with free, delicious shabu-shabu. It was a memorable meal and a kind gesture that made our stay perfect. Highly recommend!👍👍👍

DDon AWe struck gold with this one. Amazing location, right by the main bus station and very near the Chuo train station. Super clean, comfortable and it has luggage storage that can be used for free for gusts who come too early or have extra time to explore after checking out.

GGuest UserI loved staying here!! It had such a great communal vibe to it. One of my favorite memories from traveling Japan is sitting at the low tables in the common area, eating a convenience store dinner and watching baseball on the tv. I was only there 3 nights but it felt like it would’ve been an easy place to settle into for a longer stay. There was a fridge and kitchen, two showers & toilets, laundry, luggage storage, lockers, etc. Very close to the train station. Rooms were clean, I felt like the staff did a great job on the upkeep. I would definitely recommend you stay here. The only thing to be aware of is that the mattresses are really thin so the sleeping surface feels really hard.

GGuest UserEven though this is an old hotel and it shows in its facilities and overall design, the service and amenities you get as a solo traveller is worth thw price you pay for an overnight stay. The room is clean albeit small but sufficient. Some points to take note if you're planning to book: This is close to the central station so it's juat a block away from major shopping and transport options. The hotel closes its front desk and doors at 11 pm to 7 am. Checkin before 11 pm. Going in and out of the hotel at that time is possible if you use your key card to open the front doors. Walls are thin and it's very possible that you would hear your neighbor. There's free coffee and drinks at the lobby.
