Second time staying here, like the female only dorms. It was rather warm in the 12 bed basement room, it felt like the heating was still on! Bathroom was right next door though, always facilities available, nice hot showers. Breakfast was great as before, well worth it! Staff always lovely, and always someone keeping things clean and tidy. Have recommended to friends. Only issues were maybe needing some privacy screening on the windows - people entering the hostel can see into the room. And asking people not to smoke by the entrance, as the smell drifts into the room. Ideal if you're going to anything in Camden, just a short taxi ride away.

The room is not very big overall but basically clean. It is not recommended for those with large luggage, and there is no elevator. The male receptionist was very helpful and helped me carry my luggage on the first day. However, the female receptionist who was on duty the next day refused to help. I was so frustrated that I almost cried, but luckily, a gentleman from England outside offered to help me, which was really kind of him.

CchristiatheoMy stay at Novotel London Canary Wharf was overall very solid, with a few standout moments that made it memorable.
The first thing that struck me was the hotel’s modern feel. Everything from the reception area to the corridors had a clean, stylish look. Check-in was quick, and the staff were polite and professional, though not overly personal. It felt efficient rather than warm—but still perfectly pleasant.
The room itself was comfortable and well thought out. The bed was great for a good night’s sleep, and the blackout curtains worked really well—ideal if you want to fully rest after a busy day. The room wasn’t huge, but it made smart use of space, and everything felt practical. The view was definitely a highlight, especially if you’re on a higher floor—you get a great look at the surrounding Canary Wharf skyline.
Facilities were another plus. The gym was well-equipped for a hotel, and the swimming pool was a nice bonus, especially for unwinding in the evening. However, it can get a bit busy at peak times, which slightly takes away from the relaxing vibe.
The rooftop bar is probably the hotel’s best feature. The views are genuinely impressive, and it has a more premium feel compared to the rest of the hotel. Prices are a bit on the higher side, but that’s expected given the location and setting.
Location-wise, it’s ideal if you’re staying in Canary Wharf for work or prefer a quieter part of London. It’s not as lively as central areas like Soho or Shoreditch, but transport links are excellent, so getting around isn’t an issue.
On the downside, the lifts were occasionally slow, especially during busy hours, and the breakfast area could feel crowded. The breakfast itself was decent, though not particularly memorable.
Overall, Novotel London Canary Wharf offers a reliable, comfortable stay with great views and solid amenities. It may not feel ultra-luxurious, but it delivers good value and a pleasant experience in one of London’s most modern districts.
GGuest UserMe and my partner stayed at Wilde Aparthotel Royal Bridge for 3 nights. The staff were really friendly upon arrival and even gave us an upgraded room. The entrance to the hotel is smart and the lobby is a good vibe. The room was really spacious and had great facilities such as a dishwasher and hob, things you would never get in a hotel room. The bathroom was small but stull a good size for 2 people. The bed was super comfy and despite being in Central London, there was little noise from outside. The blackout blinds fitted were brilliant at keeping light out in the mornings too. My only negative comment would be the cleanliness of the floors. The whole room was clean except the floors, and despite room service coming in to clean it again after mentioning it to the reception, it still wasn't clean afterwards and we came out with very mucky socks. The reception were very apologetic about the matter however. Would recommend to anyone wanting more space than a hotel.
GGuest UserThe Holiday Inn's facilities and management are consistently reliable. The hotel is about a 7-8 minute walk from the DLR light rail station. In the morning, there's a small restaurant open in the garden, so you can take a shortcut through the garden to the light rail station. In the afternoon, you have to go under the bridge. I stayed for four or five days and didn't encounter any safety issues. The hotel breakfast is excellent; due to jet lag, I was always ravenous and ate a lot. The breakfast includes coffee, fruit, vegetable salad, various breads, milk, sausages, yogurt, oats, and juice. The breakfast hours are also quite long, which really helped my jet-lagged stomach. Also, the city of London is beautiful and well worth a visit.
GGuest UserThe experience was 10/10. I booked this hotel through Trip.com and more than happy to pay for what I got as the room was beautifully decorated when we went in, the decor, the ambiance, the location, vibe everything was wonderful . Located in the heart of London.
Will deffo book again ❤️
GGuest UserThe staff's service attitude was excellent, but the facilities left much to be desired. The bathroom fixtures were quite old, and the shower, in particular, wasn't designed for Asian heights, making it difficult to control the water flow. Washing was a real struggle, and there were several clogs, impacting cleanliness. Overall, it was a very inconvenient experience.
Additionally, the hotel room faced the street, so the constant noise of passing cars was unavoidable. If you're a light sleeper, it would be extremely hard to fall asleep!!
GGuest UserThe room was spotless, a bit compact but incredibly comfortable. The hotel's location is fantastic, right in central London, very close to Russell Square. The breakfast was delicious, and it's only a 10-minute walk to the British Museum.
GGuest UserExcellent amenities and service by many of the staff. Especially receptionist Kelly.
Unfortunately aircon leaked badly on the last night of my stay. Room became smelly. Noise of water dripping also quite bad. I was informed the room was just changed by the previous occupier (happened to bumped into him) due to aircon issue. Seems that they didnt fix the issue before assigning to me. Didnt bother to change room because will be checking out same day.
Another issue, Wanted to pay for late checkout. Was initially informed it was £xx per hour. However the next day I asked, a different Indian staff told me it is double that amount. Not very honest because another Indian staff emailed me after my check out and tried to charge me the initial amount again (which was actually not supposed to be charged).
AAlison’s Silk Road TravelsI stayed in room 302 in March 2026 for 1 night. I chose this hotel because I stayed there before and I was very impressed. This time I was given the same room again, I liked the room. It has a large comfy bed and a nice clean bathroom. The breakfast was really good as I like vegetables and they do great omelettes and fresh vegetables. The reception staff are very kind and helpful during my visit and remembered me from the last time I stayed. The hotel is in very easy access to the underground. On this visit the Elizabeth line was closed and I had to get a bus to agents Hill. This was very easy. There are plenty of places to eat around the hotel including an all you can eat from £11.99. I always have a good Stay at this hotel. There is a kettle with plenty of T and coffee. Some people staying on my floor were very noisy but that was all I can criticise really as it wasn’t the hotels fault. Very kind staff. There is a decent TV in the room and plenty of towels. During this trip and overnight stay I visited the Ramses exhibition at Battersea and images are included in this feedback. A good hotel to stay in that’s great value just outside central London about 20 mins on train.
WWattobyteLocation is superb, near Bayswater and Queensway station within 50 meters (no lift) also bus stop nearby easy to access anywhere.
Hotel is clean and they make up the room every day.
Newly renovated with reasonable price.
Breakfast is really good, all you can eat. When I was there, there is an Asian food as well.
Malaysian food downstairs is really good, strongly recommended! As Asian, I really enjoy the meal here.
They gave me early check in at 11 in the morning which is much appreciated.
Overall is 10/10
2201675****The room was tiny, barely enough space to turn around, and once we opened our suitcases, they completely blocked the door. As for the shower, it was barely usable, just enough to get by.
The upside is the incredibly convenient location. It's right next to Paddington Station and the tube, making it super easy to get anywhere. Hyde Park is just a few hundred meters away – perfect for a stroll through the park, enjoying the scenery, and feeding the pigeons. Buckingham Palace is only about a kilometer further. During the Christmas season, Regent Street is just four bus stops and a hundred-meter walk away.
It was quite expensive, but that's London for you. It really depends on what you prioritize. If you just need a place to sleep that's well-located for exploring, it's a decent option.
