Amazing
KKakakaka1111This was the fifth hotel on my trip to Switzerland. It's two bus stops from the train station, but conveniently located right by the stop, so getting there wasn't an issue. The hotel clearly exudes a rich history and old-world charm, with its luxurious European-style decor. I had a bit of trouble initially finding the right entrance and the front desk within the building. I'd actually booked a city view room, but the front desk upgraded me to a stunning lake view room – seriously, you *must* book a lake view! The terrace views were absolutely breathtaking!! The room itself wasn't huge, but it did have air conditioning. The bathroom was a tad small, mainly due to a large, rather useless cabinet taking up unnecessary space.

GGuest UserFacilities: Beyond expectations. Each room is named after a place in Switzerland, and the decor varies accordingly. The room was spacious with many windows, offering views of the train station, the bustling market, and snow-capped mountains in the distance. The corner space was very cozy, and the toilet and bathroom were large. Cleanliness: Very clean, with no overlooked spots. There was also a beautiful orchid in the room. Service: The front desk staff were exceptionally gentle and friendly. They proactively and thoughtfully explained how to access water and where to drink it. The mini-bar was free, and upon check-in, we were even given extra bottled mineral water in glass bottles. Environment: The location is incredibly convenient. It's just a few minutes' walk to the train station, so no worries about carrying heavy luggage. All major city attractions are within walking distance, and the surrounding neighborhood is very pleasant.

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is fantastic, just across the street from the train station. However, the room's layout prioritizes aesthetics over functionality; for instance, there's no luggage rack. The bed was reasonably comfortable. A nearby church chimes on the hour, which affected my ability to sleep early while adjusting to the time difference. The breakfast was quite basic, offering pretty average value for money.

TTing Ying GohI had a wonderful stay at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Lucerne, but what truly stood out was the amazing staff and their exceptional service. After I checked out, I realized I had accidentally left behind my little plushie elephant, which means a lot to me. The team kindly helped search for it, found it, and even arranged to send it to my next hotel, completely complimentary. I’m incredibly grateful to the staff for their prompt help, thoughtful follow-up, and genuine kindness throughout the whole process. Their willingness to go the extra mile really meant a lot to me. Thank you so much to the team for the wonderful service and care!

BBingbingle、Big shoutout to Kilian! We checked in late at night, and luckily, we met Kilian, who was so warm, gentlemanly, and kind. He spoke a bit slower, probably to make sure we understood everything, and he was patient and smiling throughout our entire interaction. His attitude was excellent! He even greeted us proactively whenever we saw him. The hotel itself is decent; the rooms are quite spacious, which is nice. However, the facilities are a bit old; the floor in our room creaked when we walked on it. The breakfast selection wasn't extensive, not much to choose from, and the taste was pretty average.

ZZackoechoLocation was right beside the train station, making it easy to get in and out of the town. The main streets were also walkable, mostly within 20mins. It can get rather noisy at night due to the bar nearby, but the hotel did provide earplugs to help with the potential noise issue. There is no air-conditioning in the room we booked and we had to rely on the outside air, which was still rather cold so that was not a major issue. The lift is of the typical old European style, so travellers with huge luggage may find it inconvenient when taking the lift.

DDUDHAT PARTH MAGANBHAICentral, Comfortable, and Classic Swiss Hospitality – Hotel Astoria LuzernI recently stayed at Hotel Astoria Luzern and came away really impressed. Location: Perfect. It’s right across from Lucerne train station and 2 minutes from the lake. Chapel Bridge, Old Town, and boat piers are all walkable in under 10 minutes. If you’re exploring central Switzerland by train, you literally can’t get more convenient.Room: We had a Superior Double and it was spacious by Swiss standards. Very clean, quiet, and the bed was excellent — slept great every night. Modern bathroom, good lighting, and blackout curtains. Nice touches like Nespresso machine and free bottled water daily.Breakfast: A real highlight. Huge buffet with Swiss cheeses, cold cuts, fresh bread, Bircher muesli, hot items, and barista coffee included. The breakfast room has views of Pilatus on clear days. Worth waking up for.Facilities: The spa/sauna area is small but well kept and perfect after a day of walking. There’s also a fitness room. We ate at the Astoria Restaurant one night — solid Swiss/international menu and great wine list.Service: Warm and professional. Front desk staff were fluent in English, gave great tips for Mt. Rigi and lake cruises, and stored our luggage after checkout. Check-in/out was fast. You can tell they’re used to international travelers but still keep it personal.Vibe: Classic 4-star European hotel with tasteful updates. Feels upscale without being stuffy. Great mix of business travelers and tourists.Minor notes: Rooms facing Pilatusstrasse can get some street noise if windows are open, but with them closed it was quiet. Parking is valet-only and pricey, which is normal for central Lucerne — better to arrive by train if you can.Overall: For location, comfort, and service, Astoria is one of the best value 4-star options in Lucerne. We used it as a base for day trips to Titlis, Rigi, and the city itself, and it was perfect. Rating: 4.5/5 Would stay again without hesitation. Highly recommend for couples and families visiting Lucerne.

GGuest UserSuper clean and cozy. The breakfast is provided with no additional fee and it is a decent quality. City pass is provided via email in advance, so you can register it in your Apple Pay and ride any bus inside Lucerne city. You can take a 19 bus from the Luzern Bahnhof to arrive to the hostel. The hostel has a spacious public place where you can work/study or chill or have a meal by yourself. No towel is provided and you need to bring your own.

GGuest UserStepping into the room felt like being back in a school dorm, with bunk beds. The lower bunk was a bit cramped above my head, making it easy to hit my head. As it's a 1-star budget hotel, they don't provide tissues, a kettle, or a hairdryer. The transportation is relatively convenient; directly across the street is a bus stop for bus number 4, which takes you directly to Lucerne train station in three stops. Next to the bus stop is a Thai restaurant. I tried their curry rice, and it was quite good. This restaurant took over from the previous Chinese restaurant, Panda, so be aware that many apps haven't updated this information yet. It's much cheaper to buy water at Denner, which is opposite the restaurant; a 1L bottle of mineral water costs 0.5 Swiss francs, which is significantly cheaper than at the Ibis front desk.
