Guest UserThe first hotel on our Yunnan trip was absolutely fantastic! The moment we stepped into the courtyard, we were instantly charmed by the beautiful flowers and plants, and seeing the adorable cats and dogs just lifted our spirits.
The room was very clean, and the bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, which is one of my must-haves when choosing accommodation. The bedding was super comfortable, and the bed was great for sleeping. They even had a direct drinking water dispenser in the room, which felt much safer than an electric kettle.
The guesthouse is just over a ten-minute walk to the South Gate of the ancient town. The walk back takes a few minutes longer because there's an uphill slope right before you reach the guesthouse, but if you rent a scooter, it's no problem at all. They even thoughtfully provided a foot bath tub in the room â soaking my feet after a long day was so relaxing.
The staff at the guesthouse were all young men, and they were warm and welcoming without being intrusive.
If I come back to Dali, I'll definitely choose this guesthouse again.

Anonymous UserYou can enjoy the beautiful Erhai Lake right from the hotel. The view outside is just as stunning as Longkan Wharf and the popular 'S' Bay, so there's no need to go anywhere else once you're here. There are even local photographers outside who can take great pictures. The hotel staff are excellent, and in the afternoon, they offer complimentary mini desserts like flower cakes, Pu'er wine, and a variety of beverages. The public areas are spacious, and the breakfast spread is fantastic, with both Chinese and Western options. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied!

Prof. XHad a fantastic stay in Dali! The hotel's location is perfect, right outside the main entrance of the ancient city, making it incredibly convenient for exploring. It's a quiet oasis despite being so central. The room was clean, tidy, and soundproof, so I slept really well. The staff were attentive and thoughtful, even giving me a complimentary flower cake when I checked out â such a lovely touch! I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Dali.

We stayed with Sister An at Dali Old City Sushe Boutique Inn for 4 nights. Her comfortable inn offered a fantastic mix of home and resort, providing a relaxing retreat after the busyness and urbanity of Kunming. Our 6-year-old daughter absolutely loved the property. The fish in the central pool, the cozy coffee shop lobby, the swinging pavilion across the glass bridge, and the upstairs mountain view deck kept her thoroughly entertained. Sister Anâs inn was just perfect. Every morning started with a wonderful breakfast of eggs, tea eggs, free-flow coffee and tea, a variety of buns, millet porridge, and pickles. Furthermore, Sister An provided timely advice on transport, sightseeing, and local holidays. From the moment we booked a few days before our arrival, Sister An maintained constant communication via WeChat and a translation app to coordinate our arrival time. She even sent a complimentary driver to pick us up at the train station, which sat about a 30-minute drive from the hotel's central location in Dali Old Town. She also responded within minutes whenever we had a question throughout our stay. She is the true gem of this hotel.
Some highlights of our stay included:
The Public Areas: Excellent spaces, including the upstairs view decks.
Convenient Amenities: Free washing facilities (essential for our month-long voyage with a party of four), a microwave, a mini-fridge, and ample closet space.
The Suite Layout: The divided rooms gave our brother his own private space, complete with a sliding glass door, desk, and privacy curtain.
The Bathroom: A powerful, beautifully hot shower with both handheld and rain options.
Location & Value: An economical price for a very central location close to all the sights and restaurants of Dali Ancient Town.
Bonus: Sister An whips up a very delicious latte!
Because we ran out of time to do everything we wanted in Dali, we will definitely be backâand we will absolutely stay at this hotel again!

TiemuerbabaThis was my first time in Dali, and I booked the 'Lisha Seaview Suite' near Xiaguan Dali Port. The butler service was incredibly attentive. After confirming my arrival, a private car picked me up when I reached Dali.
Upon arrival, the room was very comfortable, offering a breathtaking 180-degree view of Erhai Lake and Cangshan Mountain. The mini-bar was complimentary. Xingsheng Bridge was also visible from the room. Both bedrooms had en-suite bathrooms, and the study even had a mattress, so it could accommodate an extra person. Breakfast was served until 12 PM on the 29th floor. Even at 11 PM, we could still order rice noodles. If breakfast wasn't available on the 29th floor, the butler would arrange for room service.
My stay was extremely comfortable.
When going out, it was also very convenient to catch a taxi right outside the complex.

Guest UserThe navigation was accurate; turn right into a small alley just past the uphill section on the right-hand side of the street.
I booked a sea-view room with a window at the Ctrip member rate. Traveling during the off-season, the price was excellent.
The front desk staff member was proactive and helped me carry my luggage upstairs. Upon entering, there were three beautiful, somewhat bored but adorable cats in cages. I was lucky enough to meet the owner, who, though we only exchanged a few words, radiated elegance, warmth, and generosity.
Both the interior design and the outdoor garden of the hotel offered a striking contrast, vibrant colors, a strong exotic vibe, and lush greenery.
The bedding in the room was comfortable, and the bathroom featured a smart Toto toilet. It's essential to book a sea-view room; the mountains are visible as soon as you open the door, and the view is stunning from the window. It should be even more comfortable in winter, with lazy, warm sunshine greeting you early in the morning.
It's not far from Dali Old Town, about 900 meters away, a little over a ten-minute walk. However, be prepared for an uphill climb on the way back, which helps with digestion and provides good exercise.
The breakfast is a set meal, just the right quantity and well-balanced. The butler's exclusive service was especially heartwarming and thoughtful. Due to my medication, they specifically arranged for me to be served breakfast first. Such attention to detail truly shows their quality.
If you get the chance, this place is definitely worth a visit.

Guest UserBy chance, I booked a stay at the Meishan Inn in Dali Ancient City and ended up staying for 4 days. The entire trip was incredibly comfortable and pleasant. The Bai minority-style courtyard is truly charming and unique. The inn manager was attentive and thoughtful, and the facilities were well-equipped. The room was clean and tidy, and the inn's breakfast was absolutely delicious. The courtyard boasts beautiful flowers and scenery, offering a peaceful retreat from the bustling surroundings, yet its excellent location makes getting around very convenient.

Nestled in Shuanglang Ancient Town beside Erhai Lake, this beautiful hotel's location was a pleasant surprise. Situated on Yuji Island, you can enjoy the shimmering waters of Erhai Lake from a lounge chair on the terrace â a tranquil oasis right at your doorstep. The owner was incredibly welcoming and hospitable, and the hotel is filled with thoughtfully designed gardens and charming details, including a rooftop terrace perfect for photos! Beautiful scenery, the vibrant colors of Yunnan! Thank you to the butler for the attentive service! This is my first review on Ctrip, and I genuinely think this hotel is excellent! While my experience exploring Dali Ancient City was rather lukewarm, this hotel left a lasting impression.

Anonymous UserFree parking outside the ancient city, the little brother will pick you up at the intersection. It's in the inner part near the sea. You can take pictures on the rooftop, which is good for physical strength. There is also breakfast in the morning, which is made by their local aunt, and it's super delicious rice noodles. Unlimited refills. It's also very convenient to go out in the town. When you walk out, you will see Yang Liping's Sun Palace, and on the other side is Nanzhao Fengqing Island.

Guest UserWe rented the Garden Deluxe Room, with a mountain view. We find the description and pictures were accurately advertised, and the service was impeccable. We were very pleased with our rental, as it was private, clean and orderly. The hotel is conveniently located within the Dali Ancient Town, close to Biai Road and Renmin Road intersection (see picture of map). The morning and night views from the terrace were stunning. The Dali Ancient Town is as lively as you would imagine, with tons of food and shopping options. Our experience in Dali was awesome, with it's majestic mountains, beautiful lake, vibrant towns and peaceful villages.
However, the best part of this stay was our interactions with the hotel owners, who are a lovely couple. They are good people - very kind, helpful and approachable. Although we had to use an English to Mandarin translation app for most of our conversations, they were patient and made recommendations that we really enjoyed. They helped us book a tour of Erhai Lake and we had a wonderful time sightseeing with the bus tour company (highly recommended if you don't know where to start exploring). We also took their scooter bike to explore the Three Pagodas on our own and drove around the lake afterwards. Please consider renting their scooter bike, as it was super fun and the price is very affordable. As language is a barrier for us, they not only helped us book our ride to Lijiang, but they also gave us a hotel recommendation, which their son runs. To us, they are very trustworthy, so we're sure we will have another pleasant stay in Lijiang.
After all, it's not how clean the hotel is, or how beautiful the surroundings are, it's the people we meet along the way that makes it a wonderul trip experience. If there is another hotel rating for overall hotel experience, it would be a 10/5 for us. The owners definitely made our short stay very comfortable and our adventures amazing - thank you so much! We would definitely come back to this hotel if we are in this area again!
