My stay was exceptional, filled with thoughtful details that made me feel so warm and welcomed. The place is also very photogenic! The courtyard was full of beautiful flowers, which my child absolutely loved and kept asking if we could plant some at home too. We'll definitely choose this hotel again next time we're in town!

From the moment I arrived, I was warmly greeted by the two Mo sisters and their adorable feline companions, Pirate (the black cat) and Sweet Tooth (the brown one).
Everything about this stay—from the location and decor to the impeccable cleanliness and service—deserves 10 stars. The Mo sisters are incredibly friendly, chatty, and helpful, making the entire place feel like a beautifully maintained, quaint home.
A few highlights:
Thoughtful Details: The beds come equipped with heating pads for colder nights, which was such a nice touch.
Amenities: I absolutely loved the peaceful courtyard and the rooftop area.
Service: They are very attentive; for instance, if you need brighter reading lights, you just have to ask.
The Atmosphere: The garden is lovingly cared for and adds so much to the vibe.
Even as a dedicated dog lover, I have to admit that Pirate and Sweet Tooth completely won me over. If you are looking for a stay with character and heart, this is it!

GGuest UserWe had an absolutely wonderful stay at Dali Old City Sushe Boutique Inn. The location is in the heart of Dali Old City.
The owner provided excellent service and was warm, friendly, and attentive. We were already in the ancient town when we booked the hotel and got dropped off in the wrong location so she personally walked over to find us. She also offered to drop us off at the train station stove we didn't utilize the free pick up.
The room is exactly as seen in the picture and was very large, clean and comfortable to stay in. The large windows in the rooms offered fresh mountain air, there was air conditioning/heating for those who preferred other temperature options as electric blankets in case it was too cold.
The view from the terrace upstairs is gorgeous. And the second floor has this adorable swinging lounge chair.
The breakfast was hearty, abundant, nutritious, and delicious. The inn also provided free bottled water and she reminded me not to buy water when she noticed that I did.
The owner was genuinely caring and attentive and made us feel right at home. She really goes out of her way to make her guests feel comfortable.
I would definitely come back to stay at Dali Old City Sushe Boutique Inn the next time I visit Dali and recommend it to anyone wanting to explore Dali ancient city.

The complimentary airport and train station transfers are a huge plus, and the service is incredibly warm and enthusiastic. They proactively help with all your luggage, big or small. The transfer vehicles are also very comfortable and spotless. Upon check-in, everything in the room is free except for the red wine – instant noodles, drinks, beer, water, coffee, yogurt, and Yunnan black tea are all complimentary. They bring a generous amount of fresh fruit daily, and there's 24-hour rice noodle service, which is a lifesaver for anyone not accustomed to local food; you'll never go hungry. Every evening, there's also tremella soup available. The front desk even has complimentary snacks, fruits, and flower cakes for guests to enjoy. And the room itself? Speechless. The videos and photos on their website are an exact, 1:1 representation of the actual rooms – absolutely no photo trickery. What you see is precisely what you get. The room is impeccably clean, and the array of amenities is extensive. My parents are usually quite picky about hotels, but they absolutely adored this one, praising everything from the room facilities to the balcony views and the spaciousness of the suite. They insisted that on their next trip to Dali, they must stay here again. And most importantly, the staff – from the front desk to the transfer drivers, the F&B team, the ladies who help with luggage, the gentlemen who deliver rice noodles and tremella soup at night, and the three cleaning ladies – everyone is incredibly polite, enthusiastic, and friendly. The owner of this hotel is truly fortunate to have assembled such a fantastic team. The hotel's location, combined with the suite facilities and the wonderful staff, makes for a top-tier experience. I wholeheartedly recommend that everyone visiting Dali *must* stay at this hotel at least once – it's absolutely worth every penny!

The front desk staff at the Garden Hotel provided excellent, all-in-one service. The young man was super friendly, helping us with our luggage up and down the stairs, and even did our laundry and drying. We'll definitely be back!

GGuest UserOf all my choices for this trip to Dali, I'm most glad I picked 'Shanhai Yiyu'. I wanted to be close to the ancient city, and after looking at numerous B&Bs on the west side of the lake, I settled on this one. The experience was absolutely fantastic, easily matching those internet-famous hotels that cost thousands.
First, a huge shout-out to our butler, Sisi! She proactively communicated with us even before we arrived, arranging for someone to meet us at the entrance. That immediately melted away our travel fatigue. When we checked in, I noticed bottled water, insect repellent, and even hair ties at the front desk – such meticulous attention to detail! It was perfectly thought out.
Then there's the room. Open the window, and you're greeted by the stunning Erhai Lake. You can watch the sunrise right from your bed; the view is incredibly therapeutic. The B&B also has a bathtub, so a nice soak in the evening washes away all the day's exhaustion.
The location was the most delightful surprise! The B&B is right on the ecological corridor, very close to Longkan Pier and Caicun. Step outside, and you're on a beautifully scenic lakeside path, perfect for watching sunrises and sunsets or cycling. If you want to go to Dali Ancient City, it's just a 10-minute taxi ride away. It's a quiet retreat amidst the hustle, an absolutely prime location.
I had only booked one night in the 'Tinghai' room initially, but I decisively extended my stay the next morning. Since 'Tinghai' was already booked, Butler Sisi upgraded us to 'Jianlan', which offered an even more expansive view. This unexpected upgrade and her constant, thoughtful care made us feel genuinely valued. Next time I come to Dali, there'll be no need to ponder where to stay – this is the place!

GGuest UserWe had a comfortable five nights stay at this hotel. It is located on the South Gate of the ancient town. The lady boss greeted us as soon as we alighted from the taxi and helped us with our luggage. She even got ready a fruit basket for us when we checked in. She gave us helpful advise and helped us book a driver to take us around to different places of interest a bit further away from Dali ancient town. The same driver then drove us to Shaxi and dropped us off in Lijiang.
The hotel has a washing machine with complementary washing liquid. And a patio area where we dry our clothes.
The hotel is opposite a bustling market with lots of food and restaurants around. I love to walk around the market everyday just to see all the different fruit and vegetables on sale. The main night market is just 5 minutes walk away and it has a lot of interesting street food and restaurants .
I would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends.

You can take pictures on the rooftop, which is good for physical strength. There is also breakfast in the morning, which is made by their local aunt, and it's super delicious rice noodles. Unlimited refills. It's also very convenient to go out in the town. When you walk out, you will see Yang Liping's Sun Palace, and on the other side is Nanzhao Fengqing Island.
