MMoshangcinianThe environment is very good, and the boss is also very nice. It is also very close to the ancient city, just a few steps away. I stayed here for two days and went to the ancient city and Erhai Lake. The boss also helped me rent the electric car. The children are also super cute and really cool!

JJinghanLoved LOVED this hostel! quite easy to get to from the train station and a 15min walk to Dali old town, but there's also a really frequent free shuttle service on offer to get you from the hostel to the old town and back. very clean, wonderful views from the roof and various public spaces and balconies. great social area, and I'm so happy to have made so many friends there. the hostel also offers various group trips to main sights around Dali for really reasonable prices - the best thing is that the tour guide also takes pretty professional photos so you get your memories recorded throughout the trip! the hostel also has cute cats and a big fluffy dog!

GGuest UserThe hotel is nearby one of the ancient city in Dali. Just a little bit at a side road from the big road through Dali.
In the street of the hotel are a lot of shops. Also restaurants. You can get (Chinese) breakfast in the morning and lunch and dinner in the evening. At the big road are also a lot of restaurants.
The hotel is modern, clean and the rooms are roomy enough. Of course, the big rooms will be more roomy.
Everything is clean, neat and working.
Just the wifi is a little bit unstable.
A really plus for this hotel are the beds. They are very comfortable with nice thick duvet and clean linens.
I stayed in this hotel in the low season. So the price for this hotel was really neat. But even in the high season, it will be worth every penny.

GGuest UserI have to say that I chose a store that is highly recommended. It is very hygienic. The owner Xiaoman is very nice and it is very convenient to get around. Xiaoman also recommended delicious places and fun places. I went shopping on March Street. , the bed sheet factory is very good. In the evening, I drank and chatted with my friends from other places in the store... We talked about the Legend of Zhen Huan, then about life, and finally about the brief history of human beings and time, hahahahaha! The time came to 3 o'clock in the morning before we knew it, and everyone stayed for several more days without saying a word hahahaha! I will definitely choose this place next time I come back.

Friendly and smiley. Took up bags without asking. Answer questions over wechat. Even the other guests were friendly! Usually Chinese visitors don't really speak to me (which is fine of course), but the girls I shared a room with even asked me to dinner with them and shared food
Location
The pictures they have down for the exterior, it's actually to the left of that. walking distance to the ancient village and chongsheng temple. easy trips to the lake.
Amenities
Fridge, washing machine, hair dryer, shoe dryer, toiletries, kitchen area etc. all included. There's like a communal courtyard area as well and I believe you can eat there too but you need to book it the day before by a certain time.
Bathroom
Sit down toilet. Shower. Toiletries. Looks a bit shabby at first glance but the shower toilet and sink are all working and very clean
Room
Lovely thick mattress (I've found they are usually quite thin in Chinese hostels so this was a nice surprise). Heater if needed. I'm not entirely sure how the lock on the door is supposed to be done.
Overall great atmosphere. The pictures look a little bit rough around the edges but its honestly fine and i think I could stay here a while

SSteven DowsonSong and Dave speak excellent English and Song especially was very helpful and apologetic about only having a room with two single beds rather than the double we booked (a conflict between bookings made on Trip & C-trip). Nevertheless the beds were comfortable and we slept well. Room was clean and tidy although no toilet paper and the flexible shower broken (large overhead shower working). No kettle in room but community water boiler on ground floor in courtyard. Nice atmosphere in hotel and architecturally satisfying, great views from roof where there is a place to do laundry and hang clothes to dry. Short walk to ancient town, and the neighborhood around the hotel also worth exploring. Recommended.

GGuest UserThe room is cleaned every day and has a sense of design. The a**osphere of the youth hostel is warm. People who get together to talk and laugh are good friends. It is very suitable for traveling alone to find a companion. The store manager is also very nice, the service is very thoughtful, the volunteer brothers and sisters are also very friendly, and the kittens in the store are also very cute hahahaha! When necessary, you can also find the store manager to organize a group to check in the scenic spots. Xizhou Ancient Town and Shaxi Ancient Town are highly recommended. My friends must rush! ! This is a very unforgettable trip for me!

RrobynwhaleyThis hotel is more like a flat, it's in a block of flats meaning cars can't pick you up from the door, you have to walk outside of the community. The view is gorgeous and the hotel will pick you up from the railway station and guide you to your room. It's on the opposite side of the lake to the attractions, which we didn't mind as it was nice and quiet and gives you a different view of the lake. The room is decorated with a lot of tacky toys, literally Teddy bears on the bed like a child's room, if they were gone it would be nicer.

AAnonymous UserFirst of all, the hotel accepts foreigners (as of April 2024). It's located a few minutes' walk from the train station, and the bus to the old town area takes about an hour. There are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. The room was large and in good condition. The staff was kind and helpful, allowing me to store my bag after check out. Perhaps the only issue is that the sound insulation is not great. Overall, great value for money.
