"Connected with them via wechat before booking to confirm a 12.30am drop off to the airport for a 3am flight, and they said ok. I proceeded to make a booking after their confirmation. However, upon check-in, i was told that their airport shuttle doesn't operate at that time. I had to make a bit of a fuss, and after checking our wechat conversation, the staff went to the back to speak to the manager. After awhile, they came back to say they will call a taxi for us at that time.
Other than that, the hotel itself was great - room was clean and comfy, nice and strong hot showers and lots of food options just around the hotel."

"Highly recommended! The location of this hotel is incredibly strategic — close to major attractions, easy to get transport, and surrounded by plenty of Qing Zhen (halal) food options, which made our stay so convenient. Definitely Muslim-friendly and comfortable for families.
One of the best highlights? The hotel is just steps away from the viral Chinese beef bun shop — the one that always has a long queue. Staying here gave us such an advantage; we could go early and avoid the crowds!
A special shout-out to the housekeeping team. They were extremely honest and attentive — they even called us personally to inform that we had accidentally left some clothes behind. Truly excellent service and hospitality.

"This isn't just a hotel; it's Atour, a healing sanctuary hidden in the city, a lifestyle aesthetic space where ”warmth” is etched into every detail!
From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I was soothed by the natural wood decor and the subtle tea aroma. There was none of the aloofness of a traditional hotel; instead, it felt like walking into a friend's home who truly knows how to live. The front desk attendant's greeting was gentle and genuine. She proactively helped with my luggage, patiently explained the check-in procedures, and even remembered my casual mention of needing a ”quiet floor.” Such thoughtful attention to detail instantly earned my appreciation.
The room amenities were even more impressive: the blackout curtains ensured I had a long-overdue lie-in, the mattress was perfectly firm yet soft, and the duvet was so fluffy it felt like being wrapped in clouds. The USB charging ports by the bed, the thoughtful bedside lamp dimmer, and the tea set with complimentary premium tea added a touch of ritual to my rest after a long journey. The biggest surprise was the bathroom's wet and dry separation design. The vanity was spacious and clean, the hot water was immediate and consistently warm, and even the toiletries had a gentle, botanical scent, leaving my skin feeling soft and not tight at all.
Breakfast exceeded all expectations. Not only was the variety extensive, ranging from Chinese congee, noodles, and dim sum to Western bread and coffee, but the ingredients were also exceptionally fresh. The freshly cooked noodles with various toppings were both comforting and heartwarming. The hotel's public areas were also fantastic. The book bar housed a diverse collection of books, and I enjoyed sitting there reading and having tea during my leisure time, feeling utterly relaxed. The staff were always on hand, responding quickly to any inquiries, whether it was about local attractions or needing extra towels, maintaining their warm and attentive attitude throughout.
This stay truly made me understand that Atour's excellent reputation is no accident. It doesn't just offer a place to stay; it conveys its brand philosophy of ”humanity, warmth, and fun” through countless details. Atour will definitely be my first choice for future trips, and I've already recommended it to all my friends. I genuinely recommend it to anyone who values quality accommodation and experience!"

"I absolutely loved the hotel's ambiance; the decor was very charming and tasteful. Although the room didn't feature smart devices, all the essentials were present. The entire room was carpeted, providing excellent soundproofing, which ensured a quiet night's sleep. My mother tends to get up at night, and the small night light in the room made her feel very secure.
The hotel's service was also outstanding. We encountered a minor issue upon arrival, but the staff were highly resourceful and offered several effective solutions.
What's even better is the hotel's superb location, directly opposite Cuihu Hotel and with Huanggongdong Street right behind it – it's absolutely perfect for city walks.
We stayed for three days, and each evening we were provided with bedtime drinks and small snacks. I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit."

The room was clean, comfortable, and worth the price. Location is very central — easy to walk around Nanping Street and nearby attractions. The best part is how convenient it is to find halal food. There are several halal restaurants within short walking distance, which made my stay much easier. Staff were friendly and helpful too. "The hotel is great, and the hygiene is good. It's within walking distance of the 'Impression of Yunnan' show, which I wanted to see. I also managed to get the flower bagels from BA and fed the seagulls – very satisfying! Michael at the front desk upgraded our room, and the view is fantastic. Since we were driving, the bellhop at the entrance directed us to parking and helped carry our luggage to the room, which was very nice. However, the check-in experience was terrible; the front desk lady's impatient attitude almost made me want to cancel the reservation.
The room was too small, and the 270-degree view was completely blocked by the low-rise buildings in front, meaning there was no view at all. The room design was also quite impractical; when you open the wardrobe by the entrance, you can barely squeeze past sideways. The TV placement was ridiculous, supported by a single stand, and a few times I almost bumped into it when getting up from the sofa. The cabinet by the bed, which I almost didn't notice, contained a safe and a hanger that was completely useless for hanging clothes.
The only thing I can praise is the Chinese restaurant. The food was superb, and the restaurant service was incredibly attentive. Even though the lights were being repaired that evening, the manager kept us informed and immediately provided a small table lamp, making us feel completely taken care of. The Western restaurant, where we had the buffet dinner on the first night, had one rude server. After providing feedback to the manager during breakfast the next day, I noticed immediate improvement, and the breakfast was also excellent. In fact, the food at both restaurants is fantastic, truly worth trying for anyone visiting Kunming.

The facilities are well-maintained, and the room has all the disposable amenities you could need, including slippers and toilet seat covers. The hygiene is excellent, and the cleaning staff even tidied up and replenished supplies during my extended stay. The location is super convenient; it's just a 10-15 minute walk to the farmer's market for fresh fruit. The breakfast in the morning is extensive, and the front desk arranged a wake-up call and more. I'm very satisfied with this stay.

AAnn KLHighly recommend the Duplex Two-bedroom parent-child room if you are travelling with children. The room is cosy and comes with thoughtful, kid-friendly amenities such as a potty seat, two-step stepper, room slipper, Lego, soft toys, etc. The staff are also friendly and helpful when I requested some help with returning the power bank even when I arrived at the hotel at almost 10pm. Additionally, there is a wide selection of breakfast for you to preorder in advance. Truly enjoyed our stay here.

GGuest UserA very warm treasure hotel. Our family received souvenirs and welcome tea as soon as we arrived at the hotel, which was very ceremonial. Because there were not many tourists, the hotel seemed particularly secluded. Whether it was the private soup in the courtyard or the Pu'er tea, they were all of very high quality. The children enjoyed feeding the seagulls every day. The food was a little simple during the Spring Festival. A male waiter in the restaurant (forgot his name) was very enthusiastic. The green vegetables were all from the hotel's own vegetable garden, which was very natural. The back door of the hotel leads directly to Yangzonghai Shijiazui Park, and the scenery is invincible. In short, I was very satisfied. Thanks to the housekeeper for his meticulous service. Five-star praise. Recommended to travelers who like to relax and get close to nature.
