"This was by far the best hotel/guesthouse experience we had during our trip to Yunnan. The room came with a Xiao AI smart speaker, the bathroom was clean, and the water pressure was excellent. They also offer airport pick-up and drop-off, which is perfect for guests catching early flights the next day. On the day we checked in, they even gave us complimentary flower cakes. Employee number 666 provided amazing service!"

"👍 Rooms No strange odors, clean beds, and ample heating. Separate rooms for men and women. Only 6-bed and 8-bed dorms are available, offering both heating and air conditioning, water, bath towels, cotton swabs, shower caps, laundry detergent, etc. Each person gets a bed, a luggage space, a locker for towels, a small compartment for miscellaneous items, a lockable slipper cabinet (yes, they provide free slippers!), and a hanger. Shared bathrooms, three per floor, equipped with shower gel, shampoo, and hairdryers. Separate toilets for men and women. Two per floor, with toilet paper provided. 👍 Common Areas The common areas feature: A pool table and a ping-pong table, both free to use. Pool tournaments on Wednesdays, ping-pong tournaments on Saturdays, with prizes. A dining area and a place for takeout food. Smelly food is not allowed upstairs. There's an outdoor area where smoking is permitted. A KTV system is available. Occasionally, guest singers perform. During my stay, someone played guitar and sang every night. It was wonderful! Laundry and drying machines are provided on the first floor. Hangers are available on every floor for drying clothes, free to use. 👍 Cat There's a friendly cat named Laifu at the hotel, happy to be petted by anyone. 👍 Front Desk The front desk staff are very responsible. They provide information about nearby attractions. It's very close to Cuihu Lake, and Daguan River is right outside. They remind guests not to disturb others at night. After each check-in, they also send a private message and post in a group chat, reminding guests not to eat in the rooms or leave belongings scattered around. As a result, the rooms are very clean and odor-free. Common spaces are tidied daily, keeping them very neat. 👍 Guests The guests staying here are also very well-behaved. It's incredibly quiet after 11 PM. 🤔 However 1. There are four floors, and no elevator. 2. The hot water supply can be a bit inconsistent. Overall, my experience was 5⭐️ Because the rooms are clean. There's heating; I even slept in a tank top at 7°C (45°F) in the room and wasn't cold. The rules are well enforced. It's very quiet at night, allowing for peaceful sleep. The guests are of high quality."

"The Four Points by Sheraton Kunming City Center is actually brand new, having just opened in May 2025. However, the building itself has a history, as it was previously the New Era Hotel, a landmark in downtown Kunming. After facing business difficulties and closing down, it was taken over and divided between Atour and Four Points by Sheraton. Four Points by Sheraton occupies the higher floors, with Atour taking the lower ones. Its location is truly in the heart of the city, bustling and vibrant, much like Beijing Road in Guangzhou. Large shopping malls like Kunming Department Store and Wangfujing are all nearby. The entire street is a lively pedestrian zone, making shopping and dining incredibly convenient. You'll spot it easily when you enter from Nantong Street. Upon entering, the reception counter is to your right, and a spacious lobby lounge with sofas is to your left. It's a great spot to wait if, for example, your car hasn't arrived yet. After checking in, taking the elevator to the eighth floor brings you to the amenity level. This includes a well-equipped gym, a bar, and the breakfast area. The bar opens to the public in the evenings, with mostly sofa seating that's nicely partitioned for privacy and comfort. The drinks are also reasonably priced; a cocktail costs just 58 yuan. That evening, I had a whiskey sour, and for 58 yuan, it was perfectly acceptable. It's a good complementary feature for a hotel bar. Moving on to the room, you'll find complimentary welcome fruit on the table. To the left of the entrance is the bathroom, complete with a toilet and shower. The room itself is quite spacious with a long layout and a single king-size bed. At the far end, there's a very comfortable armchair with a high back, not a sofa, where you can sit and overlook Nanping Plaza, taking in the entire Kunming city center. Next to it is a desk directly facing the window, perfect for gazing out when you need a break. This entire hotel is a renovated property, with comprehensive and well-appointed public facilities, contributing to a more comfortable stay. When I booked my room on Ctrip, I noticed it was listed as a five-star hotel. However, in my understanding, a hotel without a swimming pool is typically considered four-star. Still, you can usually book a room here for around 400-500 yuan. Overall, the hotel's location is truly excellent. The advantage of being downtown is convenience for everything, but the biggest drawback is potential traffic congestion. For tourists, however, this place is unbeatable. The pedestrian street right below offers evening strolls, snacks, and easy access to various attractions."

It’s an excellent pick for travelers who want easy access to local attractions, food, and transport. The hotel is just a short walk from the Wuyi Road metro station (Lines 3 & 5), making it convenient to explore the city by subway, and is only about an hour’s drive from Changshui Airport.  One of the standout features of this hotel is its location — you’re surrounded by shops, restaurants, snack streets, and historic walking streets the moment you step outside. Many guests rave about how everything they wanted to see or try was within walking distance.  The rooms are clean, cozy, and well-equipped, with comfortable beds and tasteful décor that many describe as calming and pleasant. Reviews consistently highlight excellent cleanliness and hygiene — a major plus for budget travelers concerned about comfort.  Facilities include free Wi-Fi, a self-service laundry room, free luggage storage, and handy extras like mobile screen casting for movies or games.  Staff service generally earns positive feedback for being friendly and helpful, although a few guests noted that service can vary slightly depending on the front-desk team. "We got upgraded to suite with one bedroom for free! Could never imagine we will get this experience. The room was so big and comfortable for family with toddler. My kid was happily running around here and there playing with her toys because of the huge space. The location was nearby Shuncheng Street where we can access the halal foods and also very nearby to the famous Nanping Pedestrian Street. Cleanliness and hospitality was top tier. We thank the hotel for the nice opportunity for our family :)"

"The hotel is just an 8-minute walk from the train station, with plenty of great food options nearby. They even gave us a free room upgrade when we checked in, and the room was spotless. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly. There was a small incident where my husband realized he'd left his phone in the room after checking out. AAnonymous User🚗 The hotel offers pick-up and drop-off services, which was very convenient. 🏨 I got a free room upgrade, plus welcome fruits like tomatoes and oranges! 🍜 The breakfast selection was good, especially the noodles, vegetables, and fruits. 🛏️ The bedding was comfortable, the room was spacious, and the smart assistant ('Xiao Du') was handy. The huge floor-to-ceiling window offered a good view of the mountains, and it was very quiet, ensuring a great night's sleep. [Thumb up] The attention to detail was impressive! With the 'Xiao Du' smart assistant, I could call the front desk, adjust the AC, and control the lights with a single command. There were also various safety tips in the room, and the WiFi password actually made me smile. 🚻 The bathroom was large and even had an emergency call button – very thoughtful. 🖐🏻️ They even provided body lotion, and it was a good brand (Chando). The best part is how affordable it was! For 168 yuan, it included breakfast, a king-size bed, and airport transfer services. Incredible value for money! 👍🏻

The soundproofing isn't great, but it's no worse than other hotels in the same category. Overall, it was a very satisfying experience. I would definitely book this hotel again if I'm ever in Wuhua District.

LlittleheraI've stayed here a few times. Whenever I have an overnight layover in Kunming, I choose the Ji Hotel inside the airport. You don't even have to leave the airport; just take the elevator from arrivals or departures. It's great for catching early flights as you can maximize your sleep. GGuest UserA very warm treasure hotel. Our family received souvenirs and welcome tea as soon as we arrived at the hotel, which was very ceremonial. Because there were not many tourists, the hotel seemed particularly secluded. Whether it was the private soup in the courtyard or the Pu'er tea, they were all of very high quality. The children enjoyed feeding the seagulls every day. The food was a little simple during the Spring Festival. A male waiter in the restaurant (forgot his name) was very enthusiastic. The green vegetables were all from the hotel's own vegetable garden, which was very natural. The back door of the hotel leads directly to Yangzonghai Shijiazui Park, and the scenery is invincible. In short, I was very satisfied. Thanks to the housekeeper for his meticulous service. Five-star praise. Recommended to travelers who like to relax and get close to nature.
