Here's my review: **1. Breakfast: 7/10.** Definitely better than Atour or Hualuxe, but the Western selection isn't what you'd typically find in a luxury hotel. They had some pre-sliced ham that was decent. There was also an à la carte menu on the table with items like salmon and eggs, which suggests the owner initially aimed for a super high-end offering, but you get what you pay for. **2. Hardware: 7.5/10.** The public areas are pretty good; for a 5-diamond hotel, it's decent. It doesn't quite reach 5-star luxury standards, though. Many areas use a dark green, faux-marble material that looks quite textured. This faux-stone texture is similar to what you'd find at the Wyndham Grand Yichang, InterContinental Xiangyang, and Conrad Chongqing, but the details aren't as refined. The mattress is quite supportive, not soft, which I really like – similar to JW Marriott and Wanda hotels. The linens are decent. The mini-bar was empty, and they use Yibao bottled water. The slippers have thick soles and are very good; I asked for two pairs when I left. **3. Service:** First, a shout-out to the service. The hotel gave me complimentary souvenirs upon check-in and check-out without asking for a good review. The service during breakfast, item delivery, and changing rooms for a late-night check-in was all very good. The most basic room type has a projector, so if that's an issue for you, book a room above the base category. Now for the downsides. Firstly, the soundproofing is average, which is a common issue with most non-luxury hotels. Thankfully, the location isn't super busy, so I slept well at night. The location is okay; it's not far from Kunming Station, and there's an internet café about 100 meters away. Oh, and the headboard decoration in the guest rooms resembles a certain hotel in Shenzhen, which is quite nice. The hotel's swimming pool and the third-floor terrace garden are relatively ordinary, not as impressive as the lobby. Overall, I'd still recommend it for those who aren't too picky about their accommodation, especially since it's affordable.

Hilton's service and quality remain consistently reliable, as always! This time, I stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Kunming South Railway Station. The high-rise lobby offers an expansive view with stunning floor-to-ceiling windows. The guest rooms were clean and tidy, the bedding comfortable for a good night's sleep, and the bathroom featured a convenient wet/dry separation. The service was attentive and thoughtful, and the breakfast spread was rich and varied. The hotel also offers a gym and self-service laundry room. The location is excellent for getting around, with easy access to taxis, driving, and parking. After a busy day, returning to the hotel felt incredibly relaxing and warm – truly fantastic! 👍

Traveling to Yunnan with friends, Kunming was our last stop, and we chose the Howard Johnson Life Hotel Kunming. Our stay exceeded expectations. The location is superb, making it very convenient to visit the Mushuihua Mushroom Market and Shuangqiao Night Market. The room was clean and tidy, the mattress was comfortable, and the entire room featured smart controls. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area. The hotel has its own courtyard, a laundry room, and a gym, and parking is convenient for those driving. The front desk staff thoughtfully provided us with complimentary breakfast, which had a rich variety of dishes. The service was warm and attentive, and the environment was quiet. This hotel is perfect for anyone visiting Kunming. Highly recommended!

The room was simple and comfortable. The lobby staff were warm and attentive. Just a left turn from the hotel, there's a street dedicated to wild mushrooms, and some shops are still bustling with people even at 10 PM. You can also find Jia Hua flower cakes and local rice noodles there. All in all, it was convenient and satisfactory.

I stayed at the Wyndham Kunming Guandu for my holiday and it definitely deserves a five-star review! The hotel's location is excellent, making it super convenient for getting around, whether you're exploring the local area or commuting. Throughout my stay, I really noticed the attention to detail in the service; the staff were warm, polite, and responsive, which made me feel very comfortable. The room's cleanliness was impeccable, with even the corners spotless. The bedding was comfortable, and the overall environment felt fresh and reassuring. The hotel amenities were a pleasant surprise, featuring a swimming pool, hot springs, and a gym. Coming back after a day of sightseeing to soak in the hot springs, or unwind at the pool or gym, really helped shake off the travel fatigue. It made the experience truly exceptional. The facilities were well-maintained and enjoyable to use. Overall, it offers great value for money and was an unexpectedly fantastic stay. I highly recommend this hotel if you're visiting the Kunming Guandu area, and I would definitely choose to stay here again!

Everything else about the hotel was fine. I stayed for 3 nights, and after showering and getting into bed on the last night, I started feeling incredibly itchy and broke out in small red bumps, perhaps from insect bites or something. This morning during checkout, the lobby staff were busy, and since I had to catch a high-speed train, I didn't get a chance to tell them. The red bumps are still there, intensely itchy and very uncomfortable; my skin is almost raw from scratching.

The hotel is in a nice location, near Kunming train station and not far from the city center. The reception staff were very helpful from the first day to the day I checked out, and explained all the details. The room was clean and spacious. The bathroom had a bidet sprayer. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of food choices. The day before check-out, I requested a set breakfast in a box for the following morning, and the staff were very helpful in arranging it. It's also Halal. Even though they didn't speak English They try their best to provide good service.
