I stumbled upon this hotel in Lijiang and stayed for a night, and it was a fantastic experience. So when I returned to Kunming, I didn't hesitate to book it again. While I've stayed in several luxury hotels throughout my Yunnan trip, Kaichen really stands out for its price point (a few hundred RMB). The hotel is relatively new with a charming, light French-style design. The breakfast spread is incredibly generous, offering a wide array of local specialty snacks. The laundry room is well-equipped with amenities like garment steamers, and there's also a small gym. I was very satisfied with my stay, and they even offered a complimentary travel photoshoot for some beautiful pictures. I'll definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit.

This hotel is quite good – clean and hygienic, with a smart 'Xiao Du' assistant and even a washing machine. The environment is beautiful and comfortable. Right outside is a night market street, and it's very close to the subway station, making travel convenient. It's definitely worth staying at, and I recommend it to everyone. I'll book here again next time.

Just pop out for a bit, and your clothes are sparkling clean when you get back. It's so hassle-free to have fresh clothes every day while traveling. The gym isn't just for show either; the equipment is new and comprehensive. You can do cardio and strength training – treadmills, ellipticals, dumbbells, and fixed machines are all well-arranged. Whether you're working on your shoulders, legs, or doing cardio, it's all covered. It's great to maintain your workout routine even when you're on vacation. After a workout, go grab a bowl of rice noodles, and your happiness doubles! Don't miss the night view from the 52nd floor. From sunset to twilight, the rooftop garden feels just like 'City A' from a novel, and the ambiance is absolutely incredible ✨. The rooms are so comfortable, you won't want to leave: The high-floor views are absolutely stunning, perfect for a relaxing time with tea and a book. The bed and sofa feel like they have magnets; you'll find yourself binging shows for half a day. The body lotion has a super luxurious scent, and after applying it, I felt incredibly refined. The breakfast spread is amazing! The balance of meat and vegetables is just right, perfect for fueling up before continuing your city walk. The location is also worry-free; it's about a 10-minute walk from Wujiaba Metro Station, and Cuihu Lake and Nanping Street are not far. Everything for eating, living, and transportation is convenient. It's right in the center of Kunming, like the city's heart, bustling with high-rises and traffic.

Traveling back from Lijiang, I chose the Howard Johnson Life Hotel in Kunming, mainly because of its close proximity to Shuangqiao Night Market, making it super convenient for exploring and dining. The hotel's overall design is quite stylish. I booked a comfortable king room; it wasn't huge, but it was cozy, clean, and very comfortable to stay in. I especially want to praise the front desk service! We arrived in Kunming on an early morning train around 5 AM, and got to the hotel at 4 PM, which was still before the standard 2 PM check-in time. The front desk lady was incredibly thoughtful and arranged an early check-in for us right away, even throwing in five complimentary breakfasts. Otherwise, we would have been stuck waiting with all our luggage, which would have been exhausting. This gesture really saved us a lot of trouble and made our experience fantastic. Breakfast was pretty standard for a city hotel – decent quality and taste. My only minor regret is that the afternoon tea selection was a bit limited with not many options. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel, especially if you're looking to visit Shuangqiao Night Market; its location is a huge advantage.

Atour always picks good strategic locations for their hotels. This one is just 10 minutes away from the Kunming railway station and as every Atour, it offers a reasonably spacious and clean room. In particular this Atour offers towels in sealed plastic bags which gives guests a good hygienic feel when using them. Breakfast is as good as always and with specialty dishes from local Yunan cuisines.

I stayed at the Wyndham Kunming Guandu for my holiday and it definitely deserves a five-star review! The hotel's location is excellent, making it super convenient for getting around, whether you're exploring the local area or commuting. Throughout my stay, I really noticed the attention to detail in the service; the staff were warm, polite, and responsive, which made me feel very comfortable. The room's cleanliness was impeccable, with even the corners spotless. The bedding was comfortable, and the overall environment felt fresh and reassuring. The hotel amenities were a pleasant surprise, featuring a swimming pool, hot springs, and a gym. Coming back after a day of sightseeing to soak in the hot springs, or unwind at the pool or gym, really helped shake off the travel fatigue. It made the experience truly exceptional. The facilities were well-maintained and enjoyable to use. Overall, it offers great value for money and was an unexpectedly fantastic stay. I highly recommend this hotel if you're visiting the Kunming Guandu area, and I would definitely choose to stay here again!

The hotel is in a nice location, near Kunming train station and not far from the city center. The reception staff were very helpful from the first day to the day I checked out, and explained all the details. The room was clean and spacious. The bathroom had a bidet sprayer. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of food choices. The day before check-out, I requested a set breakfast in a box for the following morning, and the staff were very helpful in arranging it. It's also Halal. Even though they didn't speak English They try their best to provide good service.
