SStellaWMLExtremely close to Kinrin Lake. After strolling around the lake, you can head straight to the hotel to relax and enjoy the hot spring. The hotel staff are incredibly friendly and always smiling. The room has two private hot spring baths, one indoor and one outdoor, which is fantastic. The dinner was superb, especially the wagyu beef, which was delicious. Breakfast offered both Western and Japanese options, both very good. If I have the chance to visit Yufuin, Fukuoka again, I would definitely choose to stay at this hotel.

MMinanekoThis onsen hotel exceeded my expectations ā it was truly excellent!
First off, every room has its own private onsen, offering complete privacy, so you can enjoy a hot spring bath anytime you like! The hotel environment is beautiful, perfect for taking photos. We were lucky enough to encounter snow, which was the icing on the cake!
What's more, the room was fully equipped and impeccably clean! Since we visited in winter, it was incredibly thoughtful that there were heaters everywhere, even in the bathroom.
We booked the 'one night, two meals' package, and the food was delicious! The dishes were very unique, and you could really feel the restaurant's dedication. Extremely satisfied!
The staff were excellent ā friendly and approachable, making me feel right at home.
Regarding transportation, we originally planned to drive, but canceled our car rental due to the weather. We took the train to Yufu Eki, pre-booked the shuttle with the hotel, and arrived in about 10 minutes!
Overall, this is a highly recommended gem of a hotel! I'll definitely be back!

GGuest UserWe checked in on 15 Jan, 2026 and planned to stay at the hotel for a nite. When we arrived the railway station , we walked around for a while and got a taxi outside the railway station to the hotel without paying the fare. Probably the hotel had arranged with the taxi drivers in that area that they will pay the fare directly. The check-in procedure is easy and comfy. 2 staff lead us to our room å°ęØēćItās a very nice room with 2 private onsen. The spring water is nice and made our skin very smooth. The hotel had arranged enough drinks for us, 3 alcoholic and 3 nonalcoholic. We had our dinner at ard 7pm. The presentation of the good is very good & eye catching. However, the quality of the sashimi was not very fresh. Taste of the tuna was a bit fishy and itās wet and found bloody water after picked it up from the dishš. I donāt eat beef and the hotel changed the 5 pcs of wagu to 3pcs of eel which didnāt taste very well. Not sure whether they grill it or not. Also they changed the beef that served with rice to miso and I didnāt think itās fair enough. The breakfast on the next morning was up to standard. Bread was fresh and hot. Egg and sausage were quite good. Overall, service is good but the standard of dinner made me disappointed as I had informed the hotel at least one week before check-in and I think they have ample of time to adjust the menu for me.
Iāve been to some other hotspring hotels with same request of not eating beef. They had changed my menu to chicken, pork or seafood like fish or shrimp and provide the equivalent size of meat for replacement.

GGlodeckThe hotel staff were pleasant and welcoming. They have separate communal onsens for men and women, plus three private onsens that require advance booking (one 50-minute slot per room per day). This isn't super convenient, especially since you probably won't spend more than half an hour actually *in* the spring. However, you're allowed to wear a swimsuit in the private onsens if you prefer. The hotel building is quite a distance from the station, but it's close enough to the lake, which is definitely worth seeing if you're visiting Yufuin. On the ground floor, there are vending machines where you can grab snacks, just in case you get hungry late at night (the hotel closes after 12:30 AM).

GGuest UserI stayed in this beautiful place with my mom. The house is spotless clean, room is spacious and beds are so comfy. Enjoy the view and feel relax with private indoor onsen (also outdoor onsen). The owners are kind and friendly. Breakfast is simple but delicious. Overall i love this place. Perfect for people who wants to relax in quite vibes.
The location is a bit far from the major tourist spots but not too far from the station. But it might not be suitable with the elder people because it takes around 10 mins walk to the house and also rooms are on the 2nd floor.

GGuest UserStaying at this hot spring hotel during cherry blossom season created wonderful memories for my family and me. The hotel provides a convenient shuttle serviceājust a quick call from the station, and within 10 minutes, a car arrives to take guests directly to the hotel.
The staff were exceptionally polite and attentive. Upon noticing that my father was using a cane, they kindly arranged a room for us without stairs, ensuring a more comfortable stay. The accommodation was spacious, featuring a private onsen and a massage chair, which made the experience even more relaxing. Since the hotel is near the mountains, there were a few insects, but it wasnāt a major issue.
The food was delicious and beautifully presented, and in the morning, guests could get fresh milk with breakfast. The hotelās location was idealājust a short distance from the shopping street and Lake Kinrin, making it easy to explore the area.
Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and we truly enjoyed the experience.

GGuest UserThe staff members were all very friendly and welcoming. The hotel overall was very cozy, particularly the onsens. Although all the four onsens were opened for all guests at the hotel, you can use one of them as long as you want because guests are instructed to hang a sign on the onsen to show that it is currently occupied. This is a great way for the guests to enjoy privacy to themselves, although it is opened publicly. Dinner and breakfast was included in the package so we did not have to worry about finding nearby restaurants. The food was delicious here! Would definitely recommend if you enjoy traditional Japanese meals to get the full experience. We had a private barbecue for dinner, and it was truly immaculate! However, there was smoke all over the hotel lobby coming from the barbecue so it would have been better if they kept the windows opened. It was also indoors so it was slightly overwhelming with all the smoke everywhere in the restaurant. But everything else was on point and breakfast was particularly delicious.Ā

EEinfachDillonThe hostel was very nice and had a cozy charm to it. I also met some very nice people there. There is an Onsen in the hostel, and you can get a satisfying breakfast for around 800 Yen. The owner was very kind and offers evening walks (which I highly recommend) and a ride to the station in the morning. The only downside is that it's an around 30 minutes walk uphill from Floral Village, but the view from there is worth it.
All in all I highly recommend it!

GGuest UserThis hotel is nestled in the mountains, featuring terraced rice fields, which makes for a very relaxing stay. The rooms are spacious and well-equipped; we chose a room type with an indoor onsen bath. The half-board (dinner and breakfast) meals were also good, and I recommend the Japanese-style breakfast. The baths include both indoor and outdoor options, and overall, everything was very comfortable. The only downside was that when we checked in at 4 PM, we were told that the shuttle service for the next day was fully booked, and we'd have to pay for a taxi ourselves (even though there were empty vehicles available). Despite this, I would still highly recommend Hoshino Resorts KAI Yufuin for an experience.
