Avoid at All Costs! Heartless & Inflexible. After 7 trips to Japan, this was my worst experience. Due to weather-related train cancellations (common in Oita), I couldn't make the 18:00 check-in. Despite offering to pay extra to rebook or waive my paid dinner, the hotel refused any flexibility—even when contacted via the booking platform. 90% of local businesses show empathy in these situations; this one only cares about profit. I walked away and ate the cost just to end the frustration. Check the reviews; I’m not the only one. Zero hospitality. Do not book here. 【要注意】冷酷すぎる対応。絶対に予約しない方がいい。 今回で日本通算7回目の旅行でしたが、これほど不愉快な宿泊施験は初めてです。悪天候（大分県では頻発する土砂災害）により列車が連続で運休。18時の最終チェックインに間に合わなくなりましたが、宿側は一切の融通を利かせず。有料夕食の放棄や、追加料金を払っての日程変更も「不可」の一点張り。予約サイト経由でも対応拒否。結局、私は損害を飲んでキャンセルしました。他のレビューを見ても同様の苦情多数。利益優先でゲストの気持ちを無視する、サービス精神ゼロの宿です。二度と利用しません。 避雷！日本7次旅行中最寒心的一家——毫无温度，只剩算计。 毫不夸张地说，这是我七赴日本旅行以来，体验最糟糕、最冷漠的一家酒店。 入住前，酒店连发十几封邮件，反复强调“最晚入住时间为18:00”。然而天有不测风云，当天因极端天气，我们原定上午9点的列车被取消，改签到下午14:00后竟再度被取消。在这期间，我们多次尝试联系酒店均无果，最终只能通过预订平台沟通。 令人心寒的是，酒店的回复只有冷冰冰的两个字：“不行”。即便我主动提出愿意额外补偿费用申请改期，换来的依然是无视。为了不毁掉整个假期的好心情，我最终选择全额认损，将这笔冤枉钱“赠送”给这家毫无人情味的商家，然后转身离开，继续我的愉快旅程。 事后我才了解到，大分县因山体滑坡导致列车停运实属常态。连平台的客服都感叹：遇到此类不可抗力，当地90%的商家都愿意协商退款或改期，唯独这家例外。它不仅毫无契约精神之外的温情，甚至连“客户多付钱也不赚”的傲慢，实在令人咋舌。 作为一位足迹遍布全球的资深旅者，我郑重劝告各位：请慎重选择这家酒店。翻阅评论区，我才发现并非我一人遭遇此等对待，原来早已恶评累累。 诚然，酒店有运营成本，但生意长久之道在于同理心。一家只知敛财、推诿，连基本服务意识都没有的店家，注定留不住客人。哪怕我愿意自掏腰包改期再来，他们都不屑一顾——这样的地方，何必去受气？

This boutique ryokan, featuring just 11 rooms, is situated a convenient 5-minute drive from Yufuin Station in a peaceful, rustic residential neighborhood. Our spacious, well-maintained ground-floor room featured a private onsen and offered excellent views of Mount Yufu. For those interested, the communal onsen can also be locked for private use and is kept very clean. The staff is accommodating and polite, and the breakfast and dinner provided in the dining area are outstanding. Complimentary parking is available, and the aromatic tea burner in the room was a very pleasant detail.
