Yufuin Besso Shikisai Hotel
"We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was spacious, comfortable, and well laid out. Everything was clean and well maintained. The private onsen was spotless and well kept. We could book a slot for free when we check in. We drove and park at the accom. Easy 10-15 min walk to yufuin village without luggage."
ENOWA YUFUIN
"This newly opened resort, inaugurated in June 2023, combines luxurious accommodation with a focus on providing guests with a pure, natural, and rejuvenating experience amidst the serenity of lush green surroundings. Nestled among sprawling mountain forests and flowing streams, the resort offers a range of facilities including farms, greenhouses, restaurants, villas, and guest rooms. The highlight of the resort is undoubtedly the exquisite restaurant "JUMGU," helmed by executive chef Tashi Gyamtso, who previously honed his skills at the esteemed two-Michelin-starred restaurant "Blue Hill at Stone Barns" in New York. With a commitment to the farm-to-table concept, "JUMGU" meticulously selects daily and seasonal ingredients to create an array of innovative dishes that delight the senses. Our dinner experience there was truly exceptional! Taking advantage of the natural topography of the mountainous terrain, the resort's villas and guest rooms are thoughtfully designed. Utilizing materials like stone, wood, and soil, the resort creates an elegant and rustic ambiance that seamlessly blends with the surroundings. The rooms are adorned with infinity swimming pools, enhancing the overall sense of luxury. You can truly immerse yourself in this unforgettable experience."
Yufuin Bath Satoyamasafu
"This boutique ryokan, featuring just 11 rooms, is situated a convenient 5-minute drive from Yufuin Station in a peaceful, rustic residential neighborhood. Our spacious, well-maintained ground-floor room featured a private onsen and offered excellent views of Mount Yufu. For those interested, the communal onsen can also be locked for private use and is kept very clean. The staff is accommodating and polite, and the breakfast and dinner provided in the dining area are outstanding. Complimentary parking is available, and the aromatic tea burner in the room was a very pleasant detail."
Yufuin Santoukan
"Position is very nice, free parking, very good service with good food."
Yufuin Ublhotel
"The meals were excellent, the environment was peaceful, and the service was great. The hotel's location is also very convenient, being close enough to walk to Lake Kinrinko. There's plenty of parking too, which is a huge plus for those driving. Overall, very satisfying."
Yufuin Hotel Shuhokan
"Loved the location—walked everywhere. Good service and the hotel itself is really well-kept."
Ryotei Tanokura

"The stay experience is good. Staff are friendly. Like the breakfast and there are free beverage bar for some tea, juice, red wine, sake etc."
Yufunoi Yuhri
"Make this the place to stay when you’re in Yufuin! We didn’t expect our room to be so spacious (think of it more as you private little house on the premises) and beautiful, and the service was exceptional. The staff went above and beyond for us and helped us with whatever question we had (and even helped us call tourist information centers). The staff member that served us our dinner was especially great! The food was equally amazing. The location is not far from the city although we recommend to come by car as it’s a bit of a walk from the station and up the hill. However even that walk would be worth it. Would definitely book again next time I plan on staying in this area!"

Yufuin Kotobuki Hananosho
"Located near the beginning of Yufuin street where you can find all the restaurants. Rooms, lobby, public bath are.quite large in size, slightly jaded look (social distancing stickers still on lobby floor and lift, hotel staff should quickly remove) enough parking on site. Easy to walk about. Umbrellas available for loan. Opposite the hotel is a laundrymart. Family mart and 7-11 available in Yufuin main street areas."
Hoshino Resorts Kai Yufuin

"The cleanliness is good considering the facilities. I went by rental car, but the location is a bit far from the station, and getting to major tourist attractions on foot is inconvenient. The service is the best."
Kutsurogi-No-Yado Nanakawa
"Good and comfortable, with free parking. Highly recommended."
OYADO URAKU
"This was my first time staying at a Japanese-style inn, and I must say it wasn't quite the experience. Having gotten used to a regular bed, even with a mattress, the tatami mats were too hard. Also, for taller people, the mattresses were too small; my hands and feet were sticking out. And being tatami, cleaning is definitely more difficult. While regular hotels aren't always perfectly clean either, at least you're not sleeping on the floor. The inn's environment was nice, and the service was attentive. Although it wasn't quite right for me, it's worth a try for those who want to experience a Japanese-style inn."
Yufuin Ryokan Seikoen
"The service was very welcoming, and both breakfast and dinner were quite rich and varied. However, our room had a slight kimchi smell, and the soundproofing wasn't great, so we could hear Korean guests talking at night."
Yufuin Onsen Toshoan
"The private hot spring was lovely, and the included dinner and breakfast were exquisite."
Yufuin Hoteiya
"the service at this hotel was absolutely superb, I will definitely stay here again next time I am in the area."

"Here's a review of my stay: 1. **Location and Amenities: A Quiet Corner with Easy Access** The hotel is conveniently located, about a 7 to 10-minute walk from JR Yufuin Station, making it easy to find while also being away from the busiest commercial areas. Right next door is a Lawson convenience store, and there's a supermarket nearby, which is super handy for anyone who likes to grab snacks and drinks in the evening. 2. **Hot Spring Facilities: Highly Private "Kashikiri" Experience** This is truly the highlight of the inn! There are 5 private family hot springs (private baths), including both indoor and outdoor options. No reservations are needed; you just check if the light at the entrance is off, and if so, it's free to use. **Tech-Savvy Management:** Guests can scan a QR code with their phone to instantly check the real-time availability of each private bath, saving you a wasted trip. **A Small Tip:** If you're staying in winter, the path to the outdoor baths and some outdoor showering areas can feel quite cold. If you're sensitive to cold, I recommend prioritizing private baths #1-3, which are indoors. 3. **Dining Experience: A Hearty Yakiniku Feast** We opted for the half-board plan, and dinner was enjoyed at a partner yakiniku restaurant. The wagyu beef was excellent quality and incredibly generous in portion. There was even a bonus offer of unlimited alcoholic beverages and plum wine, making it fantastic value for money. The Japanese-style breakfast the next day was also very filling, providing a great start to our day. 4. **Unique Atmosphere: A Paradise for Animal Lovers** The inn has very gentle cats and dogs living on the premises. If you're lucky, the resident cat manager might even appear in common areas or even come by your room for a patrol. For animal-loving travelers, this sense of warmth and comfort is something other hotels simply can't replicate. 5. **Accommodation Details and Recommendations** **Room Space:** The new wing rooms are spacious, blending modern comfort with traditional Japanese aesthetics."
Yufuin Mori No Hotel Shan-Jewel
"This hotel is exceptionally clean and hygienic, a clear priority for the owner. You're required to take off your shoes and wear designated slippers inside, and there's a separate pair for the onsen facilities. After my hot spring bath, I accidentally wore the onsen slippers back to my room, which really startled the owner! However, she was very hospitable and even booked private hot spring times for guests, so you don't have to share with others – it was incredibly comfortable and relaxing. The hotel is close to Lake Kinrin, which is why I chose it, specifically to see the morning mist. The price was also more reasonable than places near the station. The only minor drawback was that dinner and breakfast were quite simple, so you might need to supplement them if you want a full meal. You can see cherry blossoms from the room, and the panoramic view of Yufu city is stunning. Overall, I highly recommend it."
