Beach Hotels in Xiamen

We specifically chose the Conrad for my child's birthday, and it certainly didn't disappoint! Upon check-in, the room was thoughtfully decorated with balloons and rose petals, and they even brought a small birthday cake. It truly made the occasion feel special! My child was absolutely thrilled. It was an unforgettable birthday trip, and the high-tea with a view was also fantastic. Full marks, highly recommended! 🎂🥂🌃

I arrived in a torrential downpour, dusty and weary from the journey, but seeing a cute big black dog sleeping in the hotel immediately made me feel warm and fuzzy. The room was fully equipped, clean, and tidy overall. As dusk fell, the indoor lighting created a lovely ambiance. Opening the door, the small courtyard with bamboo shadows swaying and cicadas chirping after the rain was quite enchanting. I imagine it would be a wonderful spot to just relax and unwind when the weather is cool and dry. Oh, and the two young men working there were also very kind and friendly. They helped me with my luggage, gave me a paper map (I appreciate such artistic touches), and even brought breakfast to my room, telling me to ask for more if it wasn't enough. My personal stay was quite pleasant. If I had to mention any tips, I'd say bring mosquito repellent, as there are many mosquitoes on the island. Also, the breakfast is simple and home-style, not like a fancy hotel buffet, so that's something to consider based on personal preference. I would definitely consider staying here again next time I'm on the island. Thanks for the hospitality! (◍•͈⌔•͈◍)

Opting for a well-known hotel brand again, I wasn't disappointed. My room on the 18th floor was spacious and clean, offering a 180-degree ocean view. During my stay, our butler Jennifer was incredibly attentive, promptly responding to and resolving every issue. The buffet was also fantastic, and the dinner buffet, in particular, offered great value for money. They had my favorite soufflé, and the oysters were incredibly fresh, though it was a shame there weren't many people there. The hotel package included a sailing experience and a travel photography service, both of which were excellent. I was very happy with the photography skills and will definitely seek them out again next time. The sailing service was even better; they let me reschedule three times without any hassle, and the timing for heading out to sea was perfect – not too sunny and just breezy enough. I'll definitely stay here again on my next trip to Xiamen!

A special thanks to Mulu for their genuine service during my stay. As a loyal InterContinental guest, I truly felt at home here. The service was warm and thoughtful, and the staff were incredibly enthusiastic and attentive, actively helping me with the car door and luggage. I hope they continue to maintain this excellent standard. The room, as always, was spacious and impressive. Even though the hotel has been operating for several years, the facilities are still well-maintained. The breakfast quality was also consistently good. I hope to have the opportunity to stay again. Overall, it's great value for money, and I hope they keep up with hardware maintenance and renovation.

Overall, it was pretty good. The hotel's location is super convenient for getting around. The pier is about 500 meters from the entrance, and it's just a fifteen-minute boat ride to Xiamen No. 1 Pier, making it easy to go anywhere. A concierge even proactively helped us with directions to the pier; he was really enthusiastic 👍. The ferry ticket to Gulangyu Island was only 35 RMB, and the hotel breakfast was decent too. Regarding the upgrade to a deluxe sea-view room (subject to availability on the day): I booked a superior sea-view room, and the front desk upgraded us to a deluxe sea-view family room. For the mini-bar, you need to proactively contact the front desk for refills. Also, for the cute little souvenir doll included in the package, you need to ask the front desk for it. It's a really adorable doll 🥰

I'm very satisfied. The subway is right outside to the left, and it's close to Zhongshan Road and the Eight Market. The subway makes it convenient to go anywhere. The hygiene and facilities are all great. The housekeeping auntie was very attentive with her service. From the housekeeping staff to the maintenance technicians and the lobby staff, everyone nods and smiles when they see guests. You can really see the hotel's management standards in these small details. Giving it a 5-star review!

Since I was visiting Gulangyu the next day, I decided to stay here for a night to avoid the morning traffic, and overall, it was a great experience. The room was spacious and offered a direct view of Gulangyu. It even came with a microwave, which is something other hotels usually don't provide, and I found that very convenient, even though I didn't use it. If I had to suggest any improvements, it would be that the hotel entrance had a very strong fragrance. Also, my child's clothes got stained from food, and the hotel didn't have a laundry room. They did provide some soap later, but I'd suggest they keep some small sachets of laundry detergent on hand.

Traveling with two families and kids, my children specifically requested to stay at the Portman Hotel, so we came for the summer vacation. The kids absolutely loved the high-altitude pool, playing in it for two days straight. The room service was very attentive. On the first day, we had the seafood buffet, and the crayfish were delicious – the kids really enjoyed them. In the evening, we walked to the beach to listen to the concert, enjoying the waves and searching for seashells, which was very relaxing and pleasant. Sunshine Town is just a ten-minute walk away, where we also tried some tasty Fujian-style seafood.

The hotel's location and environment are excellent, offering views of Gulangyu Island. The service is warm and attentive; anything we needed was promptly addressed. The hotel is conveniently located directly across the road from the Gulangyu ferry terminal, just a short walk through an underpass. The facilities include a projector, XiaoDu voice control, and a smart toilet. The hygiene was also impeccable and clean. A very satisfying hotel experience.
